Moved from South Shore to NS and was delighted to find out the "burger bar" I frequented also moved to Commack. The "Juicy Lucy" was exactly what hubby remembered from Massapequa location. The service, taste, food and price were all positive points. Kids even loved the special over the top milkshake for a great report card. We were sat in back but it was much better with younger children than sitting by the bar. Tip: go early cause the hype is all it lives up to and crowds stampede in. We went there to dine in for the first time after ordering take-out a few times. The staff was fantastic. Brought our food timely and checked in on us regularly. Clarissa was a doll. I had the Surf n Turf burger off their summer special menu. The burger was so greasy that I had a hard time eating it. While being greasy, it also was quite flavorless. Food is quite good, with the exception of the runner mixing up the rare and medium burgers. BUT don't get stuck in the back dining room. The acoustics are horrific and it was like being locked in a Chuck E Cheese aka a circle of hell. Some softer surfaces or acoustic panels would be welcomed by many patrons, as we weren't the only ones distressed by the fact that we couldn't hold a conversation at our table without raising our voices. Well here it is Mother's Day. I called the restaurant to see how late they would be serving. I was told the last seat would be 8:45 PM. I told her that's great I'll be taking out but I'll make sure to place my order earlier. So I called at 8:20 to place my order only to be told the kitchen is closed. I said really? I called earlier to ask how late you'd be open so I would make sure I could get my order in before you closed. They said sorry but we weren't busy so we're closing earlier. I said that's wonderful, it's Mother's Day I called earlier to make sure I could place my order before you closed. I have eaten here before, the only reason I was ordering from here was because of the pastrami hamburger. I will certainly find other hamburger places because their hamburgers are not that big. It was just a craving of a different burger that I didn't get anywhere else. Really loved this place, I've heard very mixed reviews about it and very impressed by everything. Me and my friend split the spinach and artichoke dip which was fantastic, different...but very good. We then both tried the BBQ burger, which was awesome as well. Cooked to liking and it wasn't too much stuffed in a bun. The waitress was amazing and she was running back and forth so coming from a person in the restaurant business, she did an amazing job and i hope this establishment see's what a great employee she is! Great food! Full service bar with great drinks. This is not your typical "burger bar." The burgers are awesome and they have a huge variety to choose from or build your own, too. If you don't fancy a burger then they have a great menu of excellent appetizers, sandwiches, etc. Piping hot, excellent portions, and reasonably priced. One of our new favorites. We visited the Prime Burger Bar on Saturday Jan 4 and arrived at peak time approximately 7pm we were happy to wait at the bar for our table and ordered drinks and apps which were received timely. We received great service at the bar. We realized we had given the wrong number to the hostess so went to provide a corrected phone number when we encountered an older hostess who we later were told was an owner she physically pushed us out of the way of the hostess stand and was incredibly rude. We waited for her to finish and she was clearly stressed and not equipped to handle the Saturday night crowd. We would have left if not for the courtesy of the remaining staff who recognizing her apparent rudeness to my party and other parties waiting cane to her rescue. When she came to call us for our table again she was put off and rude when she had to wait for us to close our tab at the bar and told us to hurry up! I would not expect this service from an owner who should set the example on how to service a customer. She was rude and condescending and I will certainly not return with my business to a restaurant that so clearly does not value it. This was our second time at the restaurant since it was SOO delicious the first time we were there. The food tonight was nothing like last time. Four of us ordered the dry-age steak burger medium rare. All of them were regular burgers and cooked well-done. The vegan beyond burger was delicious. In my opinion, it seemed like no one with experience was working there. There was a very rowdy group of people at the bar who seemed like they were friends of the owners. After a heated argument, a knife was pulled by one of them. This whole meal was so uncomfortable and I would NOT recommend this place. read more

My husband and I saw a clip on Channel 12 for the Prime Burger Bar and even though we live in Greenport, we sojourned through Covid land on the hunt for a mind-blowing burger and were NOT disappointed! DANG!! I had the Bacon on Bacon burger ( bacon IN the proprietary meat), bacon JAM on top, and two strips of, you guessed it Applewood smoked bacon on top with American cheese. Juicy?!! Thank you for the napkins!! And the fries!! What did you do to those fries?!! They're so yummy!! We got a little cup of garlic aioli for the burger that, heck, we used to dib the fries and it was unreal!!! GREAT service!! We will definitely take the trip again and bring friends!!! When I asked for the check the server wanted my honest opinion and honestly I was happy enough with the burger to refrain the small Portion of fries. The server said they had gotten the same comments from others and it would be addressed, well this afternoon a friend wanted a burger and I explained how delicious primeburger was but I actually went a second time and they overcooked it but that happens so lets give it a shot. First we heard how there now consider the best on long Island. We placed our orders, 2 cheese burgers with fries and coleslaw on a soft bun. What we got was two small burgers on stale bread and shredded cabbage with no Dressing. Once again the concerned server asked how it was and my reply was, ok! She wanted me to explain so I did. She clearly pointed out how the coleslaw often disappoints and grabbed the manager explaining to him this issue needs to be addressed, i also pointed out the buns Were stale and hard and he said he was told the same thing last night! How if you are aware of these issues would you continue to disappoint your customers? He told thankyou for giving him the heads up and walked away. We received a 10% discount on a terrible meal Which didn't even cover the Shredded dry slaw that wasn't eaten and they still Charged us for.
