Everything you could want in Chinese food. Fresh, hot, tasty, cheap and HUGE portions. Great service too! We got cream cheese won tons, fried rice, chow main, hot orange chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef. Everything was on point and we took tons of leftovers home. My grandmother took me here for dinner one evening when I was visiting her from Grass Valley. When we walked in, the owner immediately remembered my grandmother and greeted her warmly. Since it was my first time there, he explained that all the food is made to order, and he showed us the large refrigerators filled with fresh vegetables. I'm a vegetarian, so it was a big plus to see real vegetables rather than processed frozen junk. I ordered the eggplant with tofu (extra spicy) and chow mein, and she ordered the lemon chicken with chow mein. I was amazed at the portion sizes when our food came out. We each easily had enough for lunch the following day. As promised, the food was very fresh and had great flavor. We've been back there a few more times since my first visit, and the owner is always so kind and remembers just what we like. It's rare to see such great customer service these days. Ate here yesterday with a friend. I had the lemon chicken with rice; he has the teriyaki chicken w/noodles. Food was excellent and the service was superb. The staff brought our food out in a good amount of time - got the feeling that they actually were cooking it while we waited. However, when they forgot our to go order (teriyaki chicken w/noodles for the lil' lady @ home) ..... the manager / owner cooked it himself; and gave us back the cost of the meal. My friend and I tried to give it back to him repeatedly just letting him know 'twas OK as we were conversing and understood; he was not having it!!! We left with 3 meals and paid for only 2!! This is one of our regular dining places. The best fast food ever as they are fast, fresh, and delicious all. We are vegetarians and they can make dishes as per our request as they cut and cook it just then in minutes in front of your eyes. Only reason I am taking away a star as their food is a bit oily for our standards. read more

I had heard of this place from a co-worker. I had decided to try this place for Lunch yesterday. I ordered the "Grande Meal" which consists of a large side dish and one large main dish. I ended up ordering the chow mien and orange chicken. I ordered it to go and the smell while driving smelled fantastic. The chow mien was pretty good. I'd say better than Panda Express. However; the orange chicken lacked that orange flavor w/ sauce and was more crunchy than anything else. I like the orange chicken much better at Panda Express. The portion size is so big I was able to save some for dinner; that's a plus. And, the price was reasonable. Not sure I'll be back. read more

Love the noodles. Pretty good for a quick lunch. I've tried the spicy garlic beef (which was my favorite) Kung pao chicken and the shrimp zucchini. There weren't that many shrimp but there was a ton of zucchini so it made up for it. So many lunch options. The one item is enough food for two people. read more

We moved from Folsom a year and a half ago, away from our favorite, family owner Chinese restaurant, and have been bummed that we haven't found anything nearly as good. Prime Wok is a lot more casual, but the food, prices, and the owner, are all incredible!! I gave up meat, and they made me crispy orange tofu that was awesome!! This fast food Chinese restaurant is an affordable family favorite. It's not gourmet, but it is good most of the time. You can vary the spice level which is nice. We enjoy adding a little kick to our sweet and sour. The only thing we've found disappointing is the balance of veggies to meat. It seems to be all or nothing. For example, we really enjoy the flavor of the beef broccoli, but it's usually almost all broccoli and very little beef, Some dishes are all meat and no veggies. I've found that if you get a side order of sauteed vegetables in brown sauce you can just order one of the meat-heavy dinners and that solves the issue. The only problem with this is that the vegetables will cost you as much as a full dinner, BUT they are worth it! These vegetables are better than what you get at Fats! read more

Prime Wok reminds me of a more delicious and authentic version of Panda Express. The food here is made fresh to order (instead of sitting in a hot pan for hours before you order it) and the portions are better as well. The 2 entree plate is more than enough for 2 people so you definitely get more bang for your buck. I like how the flavors aren't overbearing like chain restaurants tend to be. read more

I would not say it has nice ambiance or a super clean eating area, it's also super loud as the open kitchen is full of chefs making everything to order. They allow you to choose white or dark meat if you order chicken which is nice. It's also not guite as greasy and salty as some other places in the area. I'm already leaving a review as I'm eating. This restaurant is definitely 5 star worthy. This is the only place I get Chinese food now. Panda Express and Chang Bros don't even come close to par. For only $6.99 you get a whole take out plate with any entree and side. The Orange Chicken is the best thing on the menu because that's the only thing I've had on the menu. Also, the chow mein pairs nicely with the chicken. It's definitely big enough for 2 people, so it's great to share. Say goodbye to cold, expensive buffets and go to Prime Wok Express. Prime Wok Express is family owned and very authentic. This restaurant is very welcoming, immaculately clean and they are expert food handlers so this is the safest place to eat that I have ever been. The food is the highest quality white meat chicken expertly cut to insure that every bite is the best, the crispest vegetables etc. the use no MSG and only trans-fat-free oil is used. The atmosphere is very cheerful and vibrant. With well over 50 items on the menu there is a fantastic selection. Some of my favorites are Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken with black bean sauce, cashew chicken. I'm getting hungry thinking about it!
