I needed a gutter downspout removed and sealed at one end and a new hole made for a rain chain at…read morethe other. At the first rain water poured from the place where the previous downspout was supposedly sealed. Bobby told me he would personally fix the leaking seal, but instead he sent the same helper who had botched the seal the first time. Because Bobby was "on his way", I asked the helper to wait and have Bobby do the job. He ignored my request and was finished when Bobby arrived. Bobby noted there was still a little water from a previous rain, which means the helper applied the replacement sealer on wet metal. I heard the helper tell Bobby the sealant needed to cure 9 hours, but Bobby flooded the gutter with water because it hadn't been cleaned the first time the helper came. Then Bobby told me they'd used silicone to reseal the hole, and from everything I've read silicone does not adhere well to galvanized steel and will fail quickly. Bobby told me that all sealant for gutters is silicone and I knew that wasn't true, which I've confirmed with other companies that seal gutter leaks. I wrote an email to Bobby requesting he either refund the $200 cash I paid or come and try again to do the job again using a sealant that works with galvanized steel. He did not even bother to respond. I am going to have to hire another repair person to have this job done correctly as it is apparently not something Bobby is willing to do. If you need gutter repairs done, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere, possibly with someone licensed who is more knowledgeable. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS RATED THIS COMPANY AS "F". "BBB confirmed this company had not obtained a necessary license from Contractors State License Board." According to BBB, this is a required competency license.

He came out to clean our solar panels and gutters and was incredibly efficient. I was stuck working and on calls the whole time, so I was not able to hover or play quality control inspector, but I did not need to. Everything was clean when he arrived since I had just finished cleaning the sidewalks and patio, and when he left, the place looked exactly the same. No mess, no debris, no signs that anyone had even been here except that everything was spotless. Luke also sent me pictures, which I really appreciated. It was honestly a relief to see that he cleaned out what had to be more than 20 years of gutter gunk. That is not a technical term, but it should be. We have had rain the last couple of days and the gutters are working great. Water is flowing like it finally remembered what its job was. It was no big deal and I agreed to the higher price, but the technicians came to do the work with the lower price. Again, no big deal, but still confusing because it's not clear what I'm paying and price should be clear (especially if you are pre-writing a check). I confirmed the time of my appointment on several occasions which made it confusing when my technicians arrived an hour later than they should have and I had to ask for an ETA on their arrival. I suggest rather than committing to an exact time, provide a range and flexibility. That way customers can decide if that range works for them. Being on time and providing status updates if you're going to be late is a professional curtesy especially for customers on tight timelines. The cleaning was done nicely, but I did later notice spots in corners that were missed (i.e., behind doors). The front porch area was cleaned, but then the technician blew leaves back on it. They do answer their phones unlike other competitors that you just cannot seem to get ahold of no matter what. However, their power washing is a lot higher price than other competitors. Unfortunately I don't have time to have them come back out and fix anything they might have missed. I'm strapped for time as is. I'd work on communication, attention to detail, and leaving the place clean. Also, consider putting before and after pictures in some sort of written professional document like a PDF you can leave with the customer same day with a receipt before you leave.

During the job: His team arrived on time each day, did excellent work, and were even able to match the color of the other half of the roof exactly.Each day, Michael came by to check on the work and answer my questions. Alas, on the scheduled day and time, nobody showed up, and nobody contacted me. I called the office, and Jada said my job was not on their calendar. After she gave me multiple excuses for why Brian failed to show up "for my estimate", it was clear that they had scheduled another estimate and not the actual repair work, and then they didn't even show up for that. A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.
