It was clearly different from other chain pizza places or the typical neighborhood pizzerias. The restaurant was always packed with customers, and you had to wait over an hour for takeout orders. With that kind of popularity, Extreme Pizza expanded to many locations, becoming one of the best in its time! But what happened? Many of the locations have closed, and now there are only a few left... It feels like so much has disappeared, just like the once-glorious San Francisco! Today, I had lunch at an Extreme Pizza. I made a review on Google about the quality of the food. It has changed since the new owner took over. The owner replied that it had nothing to do with the food. But with the restrooms. I wasn't at the location using the restroom. They made a house delivery to my house. I stated that the food has gone down in quality. And it has pizza tasted really bad and the chicken wings tasted frozen like they were bought from Costco. I have no idea what they're talking about. I Usually love Extreme pizza but I was disappointed today in the service! I specially asked if they had any specials when I walked in and the person at the register said no. I said ok and proceeded to order my pizza. After I paid $45 he then shows me the coupons on the back of their flyers and I was pissed for spending that much money without any promotional deals which they did have but I was not given the coupons for! I was so pissed off! Unfortunately they lost a customer in me today. I will not be returning. And for the owners of this place please train your employees better when customers ask for any specials! read more

The Pizza here is very good, thin crust , and has generous toppings . The cheese , mandarin orange, pineapple and Canadian Bacon works really nicely together. For 12 dollars you can have a personal pizza with 4 slices and a canned soda. The service is fast and friendly. The place Is clean and friendly. read more

This Xtreme is close to my house than the one on Folsom. But I some times go to the one on Folsom as it's close to my moms work when I pick her up. My family and I order from here ALL THE TIME. Even during the pandemic, we did just so, every 3-4 months. During the pandemic, they also changed owners. As many stated, the new owner doesn't know how to run the place and ripped people off, skimped on toppings and such. I did not have that problem. Today, as usually, we got half yard sale & Hawaiian. Buffalo wings & mozzarella pepperoni bread sticks. Order on the phone, picked it up within 15 minutes and it was all ready. I literally live 10 minutes away. Pizza is delicious as always. The wings were .. tinier than usually but flavor pack, tender and crispy-ish on the edge. Owners are kind and pizza is great with a wide variety of flavors! I was surprised to see some of the bad reviews, and I would like to encourage those interested in trying out a new pizza place to give this one a try or another chance. They have basic flavors and a whole bunch of homemade newer flavors that you wouldn't normally see at a pizza restaurant. In terms of pricing, some choices are pricier but they also have some really good deals if you're trying to eat some good/unique pizza on a budget. I would personally recommend the Mr Pestado Head pizza, which pleasantly surprised me with potatoes on a pizza BUT ITS EVERYTHING I COULD EVER WANT TO EAT ON A PIZZA. So this review was done during COVID-19. Ordered the Hanoi Fever through Grubhub, was scared that it might not have gone through. Luckily, Grubhub and Extreme Pizza are tight so it came in on time. The pizza itself is pretty good. Had hoisin pork, cheese, jalapeños, cilantro, and carrots. I was surprised that it didn't have any sauce but it turned out pretty good. Extreme was in our regular pizza rotation but after my order last night will not be. I used the online order system at 5:15 to order for 7:30 delivery. The pizza finally arrived at 8:15pm. it was rainy and I figured they were busy so I wasn't too bothered. The order though was incorrect, I received the wrong pizza and no ranch which they charge extra for. I ordered a half railroad grade and half chicken pizza. The pizza I got had all incorrect toppings and 3x regular cheese making it soggy and the crust was hard, so you could not just pick stuff off and was not appetizing at all. I had to call multiple times before someone picked up and they only offered 15% discount for my next order, which would be like ~$4. When I asked to speak to a manager they put me on hold for 15 mins before I finally hung up. Called back today and spoke to the manager and she said she could not do refunds and I would need to call my CC company to stop the charge. I think it's likely impossible they are not able to issue refunds and can't support a business that cannot rectify an issue themselves if they were at fault. read more

ordering the Railroad Grade pizza has been our favorite go-to! we live near by so the food was fast and hot. We have been inside the restaurant itself and you can actually dine in vs order for delivery. the place is clean and service is efficient. i have ordered from them more than once and it's consistent, unlike other pizza places that sometimes fail to deliver after one or two orders. Although i have never tried the other flavors, i'm hoping they are just as good. The whole pizza was loaded with red onion that wasn't cooked well so the onion was the only thing I tasted. What a waste of calories! The workers here are EXTREMELY rude as well. The crust had no fluffiness or airiness too it, so that made the crust hard, and then the fact that they overcooked it certainly didn't help. Also, their price is more on the high end.
