We came here to celebrate an early Mother's Day. Was bummed that it was raining all day and we could not sit outside, but we were greeted and seated right away. They did not have any specials as they were preparing for Mother's Day. Nonetheless, we started with anti pasta and the pork meatballs, which were delicious. We had the veal chop, the sweet sausage gnocchi and the rigatoni Bolo, all of the dishes were tasty. Atmosphere is nice, decor is pretty. It is very loud in there FYI. Aside from that, drinks and food were great. Would definitely recommend.

Took the boat out and docked outside this restaurant. Really cool vibe chic place. Very friendly and good waitstaff Oysters super fresh. Baked cams perfect My son ordered lobster roll he said it was really tasty and full of lobster I ordered primo cioppino and it was the best I ever had. Love the fennel inside. The broth was so tasty and not over salted. King crab was super tender Buddy ordered NY strip steak. He said it was cooked perfectly and nice piece of meat I will definitely be coming back by boat or driving.

Came here for my friend's birthday, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious, the drinks were on point, and the atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing, perfect for a nice night out. I can't wait to come back in the spring or summer to experience the outdoor seating and waterfront views. It seems like the perfect spot for warm-weather dining! The only downside was that service was a little slow, but overall, it was a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

    Rosé and Aperol kinda moment

I had a blast happy hour hopping with some friends, Primo's Aperol spritz was $8 (I think), and the rosé was fantastic. We ordered at the bar and then went to a couch so we didn't really interact with the servers, and that was kind of our vibe. Great outdoor seating, we had such a blast that we did a second round before going to our next spot. We'll come back when it opens in the spring!

Service was great but the food made me sick. 2 hours after eating my stomach was churning and I was sick later that night and in the morning.

I had previously only been to Primo in colder weather and for a cocktail only, and I finally made it back on a beautiful day to enjoy their gorgeous outdoor area and Miami Beach vibes. Our service was incredible- good menu guidance and suggestions, attentive, sweet and personable. The food knocked our socks off. Portions are almost TOO generous. Our shared appetizer, salad and entree could have fed four easily but I'm secretly thrilled to be able to stab it again later tonight. Not pictured is the sweet sausage gnocchi, which was so rich and filling that we have half of it waiting in the fridge. I would struggle to pick a highlight of this meal because each dish was incredible, but do NOT miss the mussels. The broth is out of this world. We almost made a different choice due to weak Yelp stars, but the gorgeous weather and the swanky ambience drew us in. Great decision. This restaurant and its chef and staff deserve 5 stars across the board. It is by far the superior waterfront experience in Newburgh. I wholly recommend dining here and look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful location, right on the water. Loved the nautical feel of the restaurant. Drinks took a little to arrive, but tasted really good. Arancini was tasty and both pasta dishes were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable as well. Would love to come back next time I'm in the area!

Tonight I took my mother out to dinner for her birthday. If Primo's can be described in three words - Explosion of Flavors. This is one of my Top 5 spots in Orange County by far. Every dish has an explosion of flavors and it is all combined so well! Every season they try to include new dishes to add new flavor and new drinks. I will be coming back! P.S Perfect place to go for birthday's, date nights, family gatherings, etc. 10/10

Bread basket with mysterious delicious green ricotta

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for a date night spot. First of all the Decor is so bright, clean, open and posh that it feels like you've been transported elsewhere. We sat waterside and was really able to take in the beautiful views of the Hudson. Our waiter Phil, was superb. He was knowledgeable, accessible and honest. He really gave this experience a customize feel. To start our drinks were provocative and complicated but absolutely delicious. I had gotten the melon drink and instead of vodka or gin I had a double tequila YKTV ( not too sweet) perfect balance with mint and cantaloupe. My partner got the dirty mezcal pepper drink which was fresh and clean tasting. With our drinks we had a bread basket of toasted sour dough and crispy bread sticks with a ricotta with pesto ( it was green that may be wrong ), but it was delicious nonetheless. Phil and the sous chef team had treated us to a crostini with a house made chicken salad and drizzled with OO, this bite was such a a treat and had us salivating for more. The chicken was so well seasoned and whatever other flavors was playing on that crostini was dancing on my taste buds. For appetizers we had the Cesar Nero and the shrimp toast both are beautifully portioned and shareable. The Cesar Nero was surprising looking with the squid ink and calamari but the real star was the breadcrumbs charred spicy little bites of love, y'all need to package and sell that they were so good. The shrimp toast was a 4.5 only critique was that I wish the toast was a lil crispier but that is a matter of preference btw this is the only dish where you can have the chefs marinara and Baybeeeee it's so flavorful I wanted to sop the sauce with some parm and bread it honestly needs to be on everythingggggg. For our entree we had gotten the lobster spaghetti and the crab squid ink pasta with a broccolini. The lobster spaghetti was a 4, creamy saucy, savory with a little spicy bite at the end. The crab squid ink pasta was delicate and delicious a 5 for me. The broccolini was broccolini not bad, but wish there was something to balance the bitter of the green. Phil you were amazing, this place, location and food is amazing. Y'all need to try this.

The only reason I think this place gets some low reviews is because occasionally service is slow but I never mind because the location is awesome. Tonight our service was quick and the food and drinks were so good. The cantaloupe drink is so yummy. And we had the tuna crudo appetizer which was delicious. The octopus appetizer also was amazing. My husband had the squid ink pasta which I tased and was so good and I had the lobster pasta which has a nice kick. Great espresso martini and I had one of the deserts that was gelato with olive oil which who knew those went together. Yes it is expensive but it is all seafood which I expect to cost more.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday night for a table of two, and was very impressed. Great service with a smile, the ambiance was very intimate and upscale, and the food was delicious. We sat indoors as it was late and a bit chilly outside, but the seating arrangement outside looked great and the views of the water looked fantastic. We both agreed that this was perhaps the best food we've had in a while. We look forward to coming back during the day for brunch!

Upon entry, it was as though you walked in to a quaint Italian restaurant on a summer evening. We were immediately greeted and seated for a table of three. The place was quiet and feels private at your table. We were greeted with requests to see if we would like to place an order for drinks. There were a good selection of wines though we do not drink. Water, bread & an adorable mini charcuterie was placed on our table as we look over the menu. There were many options but haven't had good pasta in awhile I decided to order the seafood pasta while my siblings ordered linguini with clams & beef carpaccio (third person was not very hungry). While we sit and enjoy the free table tasting, we enjoyed the ambiance and conversation. Food was freshly prepared and quickly came to the table. All meals were asked if we would like fresh black pepper and grated cheese. Oh my! The pasta were perfect all dente with the sauce full of flavor and creamy that you just want the second bite, the third until you finish the full plate. I so wanted to try other dishes since I was utterly delighted. The table all had the sentiments. We all agree we must come back. The owner stopped by the table to greet us and gave us a little of his story as I was curious how he came to Catskills and open this wonderful place! All to summarize, the service was wonderful! Food delicious, great place to have for celebration and intimate for a date. I highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!

Someone came by to take our drink order and three of us got a drink. They then took the menus out of our way as we were ready to order, and they said someone would be by shortly. We finished our drinks without ordering and tried to flag down a few people. It was a very full restaurant so we were trying to be understanding. We did put in our order and it was another hour before we got our entrees but no one came back around for another drink order or else we all would have gotten something. The food was absolutely delicious, phenomenal. I would like to go back again to try out the service and see if it was just a fluke or if they are usually that relaxed. It took over 2 hours for us to have one entree and one drink which was a little too much for us. We loved each other's company, and the food was terrific, but it was such a long wait. Also there's only one bathroom for the restaurant. Just one single stall restroom so it was a little tricky waiting for the right timing.

The chicken parmesan was excellent, but the lasagna was Out of this World amazing, the best I've ever had. Pasta was so silky tasting, light & airy. Perfect. The portion size was also ginormous, but I managed to finish it all ! Loved it. Marinara sauce was also spot on. The bread that came to the table before our meals was superb, and my wife had a sangria with her meal which she enjoyed very much. Came back a few nights later, but this time we had to do a takeout order (our dog had been injured at the farm the day before and we did not want to leave her at the airbnb by herself). So I picked up two entrees -- a shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a salmon dinner. The salmon was first-rate, but the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was clearly the winner tonight, it was fantastic. We appreciate that they did not go overboard with the alfredo sauce (like so many restaurants do), the chef clearly knows how to prepare Italian dishes. We also had a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert -- both were stellar, we loved them ! Lombardi's Restaurant in Gardiner, NY is Top Notch in my book. The staff are very friendly & attentive, especially David, he was extremely personable and funny. We live over two hours away in Connecticut, but we plan to come back to Lombardi's in the near future, that's how much we enjoyed our dining experiences there.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class.
