Primo Hoagies make decent subs, but their prices have risen to become too high for what they are worth. I realize that inflation is a thing, but they've gone above and beyond what other shops are charging. On my most recent visit, I got a chicken cutlet sub (Primo sized) which weighed in around 17 ounces, and cost $15.99. Bottom line is that when considering the price per ounce, Primo Hoagies is higher than most other places that I get subs from, but their quality is at best on par with, and often lower than, other places I frequent. You can usually find a $2 off coupon to make the price a bit more reasonable, but I just can't be bothered. There are just too many other options for better sandwiches at better prices near me to justify going to Primo Hoagies anymore. If you want to charge a premium price, you need to offer something that's way better than the competition. Primo Hoagies ain't it. Honestly if I see those prices go up another buck, I'll drop my rating down another star. read more

Driving to NJ from Pittsburgh area on a Friday , my son called me. "Are you going to jersey? When are you coming back? Can you bring me a roast beef diablo?". So on Saturday I ordered 3 Diablos to take back to the burgh. You've got to get the primo size because that's the good bread. The other bread isn't a good or as chewy. The sandwiches were put together well and wrapped neatly. They tasted as great as expected and it makes me wish we had a primo locally. They lady at the counter was polite when I picked up. I see all of the negative reviews and I was really hoping for a different experience. I ordered the crusher. I see what others complain about with the lack of meat. It was lacking more so than at least 5 of the surrounding sub shops by a lot. Now, there were two major mistakes. They used American cheese and those aren't hot pepper shooters. Those are banana peppers. Ugh. Now, even though it was messed up, the lunch meat was good and the toppings are fresh. You guys have a GREAT menu. It's the execution of the sandwiches that's the issue, especially when the picture of a sub is on the door and it's STACKED with meat. Maybe set a standard weight for the meat used. Put pictures up for the staff showing the finished product. It's all over these reviews... turn this place around. I'll try again in another month. read more

I wish I could give it less. This place has gone down hill in spectacular fashion. Today we ordered hoagies through grub hub and every single one of our hoagies had just meat. No lettuce no tomato not onions. No salt no pepper no oil no vinegar. There is nowhere in grub hub to add these items btw. The people who work here really hustle! Mike took my office order of 30 hoagies the day before. They were frantically working to get all the custom items just right when I arrived in the middle of their lunch rush. Couldn't have worked harder to make it all perfectly. They even carried it out to the car for me. Everyone at work was very happy with their sandwiches (hot or cold variety). The sent a long some extra condiments for the crew, too. I ordered three Primo hoagies yesterday online. First, they couldn't find my order in the system. I had received a confirmation and my credit card was charged $43.00. The worker had my husband print out the order and proceeded to make them. The hoagies were a complete joke! There was next to no meat or cheese on any of them, the toppings were wrong on all of them. This isn't the first time we received what a refer to is a "joke of a hoagie". Far and away better than any other "chain" type of hoagie shop.... but Primo's is a Philly staple and this one is just meh... Don't get me wrong, the quality is always far superior and the customer service always SEEMS great.... until you get your food home and realize that it is NOT what your ordered or it was just made really poorly. Last time I ordered a wrap and got it home only to realize that there was literally only meat on half of it. The other half was all sauce. Not to mention it wasn't completely cut through so when I went to pull it apart, the half that was all sauce.... spilled everywhere. I was .NOT. .PLEASED. Time before that I ordered Turkey, only to receive Roast Beef. Really? They don't even look alike? But when they DO get your order right, which is most of the time in general, it's great. I ordered 2 whole hoagies about 2 weeks ago at a cost of about $67 which is ridiculous in itself but the team wanted them so we split it. I got back to the team and opened 2 of the 2 hoagies , this thing had no meat. It was ridiculously short on ingredients. I immediately called and let them know I'd be returning them. What happened to this location?? I hadn't been there for months and with Cinnaminson closed had to go there. I asked the young lady to open it and tell me that looked right to her. Hmm she couldn't. Let me just start by saying this, HOW DOES A STORE THAT IS NOTORIOUS FOR SELLING SANDWICHES RUN OUT OF BREAD? Me and my boyfriend went to the Burlington primo tonight at 7:36 your store says they close at 8! So that should mean that you make sandwiches until closing right? We came in there were 3 young kids at the counter and the young man explaining the bread situation and how y'all basically ran out of bread for the day and they can "wrap" any sandwich if we wanted that instead. I didn't want a wrap I came to Primo for a HOAGIE not a wrap. Whoever is the owner of this location really needs to sit back and reevaluate this business because for one you have very low ratings and for two, you run out of bread at a hoagie place! I got a suprimo hoagie. I usually love their sandwiches a lot. Well I guess new people work there and they're short on staff. My boyfriend and I came before the closed. Our bread was rock hard. The guy taking my order, was rushing everybody to get out of there as fast as he could. My boyfriend and I paid separately. He paid for his stuff first. The guy asked him if he was a rewards member, he wasn't so he signed up. Then my turn came to pay he didn't ask me anything about a rewards club. I was interested so I asked myself. He asked for my phone number to look me up and told me I was allready a member. He stated I needed to go online myself and verify. Basically I got home, and I signed up myself. I was never a member. I made an account just to write a raving review for Primo's. Family of 5 adutls split a whole turkey hoagy (2ft) and a primo grilled chicken hoagie (9inch). BEST DAMN HOAGIES I'VE EVER HAD. Perfect amount of meat, lettuce and tomato were fresh and they followed my lengthy directions of how I like my sauces, PERFECTLY. 6inches of the 2ft hoagie made me full and we fed 5 people in just $31. I've eaten at quite a few Primos and this store is now the worst I've eaten at. Second time in a row that the sandwiches were bland and flavorless. My Sharp Italian was rather dull.
