    Buffalo Cutlet

Inedible sandwich. This was supposed to be a Buffalo cutlet but instead it's burnt, hard, and over cooked. no blue cheese. Disgusting and expensive. Letting something like this leave your kitchen, shows a total lack of respect for their customers.

Love this place getting my roast beef schwartzie

Customer service is lacking but the sandwiches are the best. What do you expect when you hire high kids?

We've been coming to this location for thirty years with a couple of different restaurants. Sometimes good, others disappointing. Tonight was a home run. LOVED the Dulce zucchini salad. The homemade panko coated ribbons of fresh zucchini were hot crisp and well seasoned as were the 5 large grilled shrimp. The pears were cut carefully into crescents and grilled. Not canned. No sitting in the fridge. FRESH! All this on a bed of fresh arugula. A little too heavy on the dressing for me, but is generosity a sin? A scattering of caramelized onions and shaved Parmesan and there is my new favorite salad. EXCEPT there are a few more to try, like tonight's specials one with peach and burrata and another with blueberries. BTW I like bread with my salad and lately that's been hard to come by. Here they offer garlic bread to accompany your salad for $1.50. SOLD. Partner had the chicken Alfredo. That's his jawn. Tasted good to me cause it had enough garlic . Service was good. Bill was $60 and we took a cheesesteak pizza home .

Mix of four tops - some larger groups ... not a lot of families/ kids though. I was early but they seated me ( appreciated that). Took my drink order - Brought out bread and a really great dipping sauce while I waited. I got the chicken parm w / pasta ... friends got the specials ( a seafood pasta and another pasta dish). We all loved the food! Service was awesome - Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. One odd thing - the fire alarm went off. But - instead of panicking the staff kept us informed and no one freaked out. It was a malfunction I guess because it went off again for a few minutes but we were told there was no fire etc ( relieved) We enjoy the Library in Collegeville which they also own - they know what they are doing for sure!!

Their pasta dishes are homemade and delicious. The cocktails are also very good (ie) the Espresso Martini and Pear Martini. Wine is also available. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. So if you're looking for a quality place to go for a very nice dinner or a special occasion, then I can highly recommend this Italian restaurant in a historic old building in the countryside.

The first disappointment was that this restaurant still advertises itself online as BYOB. We arrived with our favorite bottle of red wine only to be told they no longer allow BYOB. Normally, that wouldn't have been an issue--we would have happily ordered wine from the restaurant. The problem was the beverage selection. They handed us a drink menu that offered essentially one very inexpensive wine option, with no cocktails or meaningful wine selection. If you're going to eliminate BYOB, that's completely understandable--but you should offer a beverage program that justifies the change. The food experience didn't improve things. We ordered several hot sandwiches, which apparently meant the complimentary garlic bread was no longer included. Instead, we were charged an additional $6 for garlic bread and a small side of sauce. What arrived was one tiny piece of bread that was barely buttered and hardly resembled garlic bread at all. Charging extra for something that underwhelming was honestly surprising. To make matters worse, our waiter got our order wrong and then charged us for his mistake. Overall, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Between the misleading BYOB advertising, the poor drink options, the disappointing garlic bread, and the billing error, we won't be returning. It's a shame, because this used to be one of our favorite places.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

We had heard about La Voglia and decided to try it out! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't…read moretoo crowded. The restaurant has a warm feel to it and is decorated nicely. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!
