Good sub, but the bread was just a tad too hard. Overall a good, quick option. Had the Italian sub for dinner.

It is the weekend of our 6 month wedding anniversary so wanted to try somewhere special. So we…read moreventured on a mini road trip to West Chester to dine at 9Prime. My husband parked the car, dropped me off and I checked in for our reservation. This restaurant is beautiful! Dark, moody, sexy. The renovated bank theme was very on brand, as our wedding was in the same type venue. Most all tables were occupied at our 7:30 seating and we were sat by the vault room at a small table. It still felt very intimate. One standout mention in our entire experience at 9Prime was the service. At first greeting, seating and attendance through our meal, service was polite, attentive and high class. Our server gave genuine, warm smiles all through helping us. As in experience 9Prime- top notch. But now to the meat of the steakhouse- the food and drink... Signature dirty martini- perfection. Dosed with the best swish of brine to let the gin shine. My husband enjoyed the variety of bourbons to try something new. For appetizers we ordered the Teller Tower and French Onion Soup. A seafood tower screams celebration and we CELEBRATED flavor with this seafood. Exceptional. The mussels were soft pillows with lemon accent. I wanted to steal them all for my belly. The oysters were midsized, clean, no grit and mild brine. Tuna crudo- could eat for days, give me that in a favorite sushi roll! And the shrimp was cooked perfectly, large, meaty, no chew. This tower is a must order. The french onion soup was hearty and bold brothy. Minimal sherry and beefy. Lots of onions and not overly cheesy. Then we decided on entrees. This unfortunately is where 9Prime underwhelmed. The Duck Confit was crispy but salty (and I agreed and am made for salt, lolol). The sweet potato gnocchi were firm but a nice accompaniment in option rather than a puree. The off-put was the jus. The red wine turned bitter and my husband called out a "liver" like flavor. It was distracting. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. Boo bass. This is my favorite fish and last night it was not. The portion of fish was small for the pricing. The Dijon sauce was delicious but not the pairing for this fish. Better sought to accompany a steak. And the Leek Rice. Fried rice, sort of. Like if you burn the rice in the bottom of your pan, turn it upside down and serve it anyways. This dish is not it. Happily surprised, we were then greeted with an anniversary treat of macaroons. French pockets of goodness. Very nice touch. We still ordered dessert, as who can resist banana in ice cream form. This gelato was Banana, not banana flavor, delicious ripe banana. Creamy, not heavy and refreshing. Finished off dessert with an espresso martini split for two. Strong coffee flavored encore in a delicious foamy sip. So 9Prime, very well done on so many fronts. And an occasion restaurant of recommend. However the 5 star is missed in entrees. The stars lie in service, environment, drinks and appetizers- in redemption being best served cold.

Happy Hour at the bar…read more Ambiance: Modern, clean, banky decor. Seating: Sat at the bar. Booths, tables are also available. Service: Friendly and attentive wait staff/bartenders. Did get a glass (Manhattan drink) with some lipstick on it. Crowd: Mixed; bar was full. Drinks: Good mixed drinks, many choices. Food: OK. Calamari was good, steak skewers were a little overdone. Tiramisu had to be sent back, absolutely terrible Restrooms: Very nice, little dim by mirrors (I like to see if I have any food stuck in my teeth). Parking: City parking. Value: Pricing is on the high side for what you get. Experience: Overall it was a good experience, friendly crowd and staff, will return.

We sat for dinner tonight and had Craig as our server. It was not crazy busy on a Tuesday night. We always love the quality of food. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the seafood ravioli. Both were amazing. We spilt the chopped salad and could not believe they charged $1.00 for splitting the $14 salad between the two of us. Really? After a $70 steak, you charge a splitting fee? The principle does not sit well with us. The service, unfortunately, was not what I expect. He did get tables all at once, which I understand, but we felt like our table of 'only' two was a burden. I really do not like leaving a restaurant feeling like that. All in all, the food is always amazing from a taste perspective. The bar experience for a couple cocktails is also always great. They really need to work on the service aspect in the restaurant. Customers should never feel like a burden. We do love the ambiance in general and the quality of food has not disappointed.

The manager had reached out to me on OpenTable and offered to send me a gift certificate to encourage me to come back, so we did that last night and our experience was AMAZING and truly one of the best meals we've ever had even with some of the sides, not being our favorite. We happened to have an entire area of the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was attentive, gave great recommendations and was friendly. I had a piña colada sangria and a glass of sweet riesling, both of which were excellent. My boyfriend had two old fashions which he also really enjoyed. Once again, we were blown away by the appetizers. The crab dip is probably one of the best things you can get here. The grilled Caesar had excellent flavor and the shrimp were a good size. They were offering a special Wagyu steak that evening, which I decided to get and my boyfriend had the 12 ounce New York strip. This was my first time having Wagyu and it was cooked perfectly, medium rare to my liking and just melted in my mouth. We also ordered sides of plump crab meat so that we could top our steak with it, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and shredded brussels sprouts with bruschetta. While the mac & cheese and shredded Brussels left more to be desired, it didn't lessen our dining experience in the least. We ended dinner by sharing a delicious crème brûlée served with a biscotti (not picture because we ate it too fast!) If it hadn't been for the manager Michael teaching out to let me know he heard my feedback and offering a gift certificate to dine with them again, we probably wouldn't have come back, given this is about a 45 minute drive from the city. But I can honestly say that this experience completely changed our view of the restaurant and we will definitely be returning for future celebrations.

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.

Unfortunately that's where it ends. Service is a 1-star. There seemed to be a language disconnect with the server. An overall near-zero experience. Our server was attentive to other tables seated after us who received their desserts before our entrees. Not one table check-in before, during or after the meal. Had to actually get up out of the seat to make sure the drink order was understood and it was right because the server did not seem to understand. Maybe that put the server off. We also flagged down other servers for assistance during the meal and even for ordering dessert. It took a long time to take payment for our bill. We almost got up to pay at the bar. Thus the crap shoot gamble at La Sponda. Atmosphere a 2.5 star. Loud atmosphere with a heavy metal music rotation. Good music, just not for this dinner atmosphere. Overall a 2.5-star on the strength of the food. We will not be back. Spending the money I did, even though the food is good at La Sponda, I don't want to risk a bad service experience again there. Not worth it for us but might not matter for others. Nevertheless - Caveat Emptor.

Limoncello has been a popular choice since I can remember but I hadn't gone since I was in middle school. We were very satisfied with our meals and experience! The atmosphere is super fun and outgoing and service is great. We got water pitcher for the table which I loved. I'm always needing tons of water when I am eating so it's nice to have refills on the ready ! The free bruschetta was a pleasant surprise and the tomato's were fresh and delicious. I don't really like tomato's so when I like them you know they're dang good. We ordered the spicy rigatoni with a cutlet per Jenna's recommendation. I was absolutely blown away at HOW GOOD THE CUTLETS were. I'm a little picky about meat but these cutlets were the best I've ever had. They tasted incredible and were cooked perfectly. And they had a nice breaded crunch. Literally the best cutlets I've ever had The pasta itself was very good too. Big fat homemade rigatonis. Sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful. But the added spice was a bit much for me. I was fine but I think I would've preferred it plain. My husband felt the opposite and highly the spice was mild so I don't know. We like spicy food we can handle relatively good spicy food but who knows ! It was still really good Our friend liked his branzino a lot. It's not something I would personally ever order but he seemed to really enjoy it he said! All in all we had a great time and want to come back asap (especially for those cutlets haha) thank you Jenna!!

For a drink I ordered the blueberry mojito which was pretty fresh and tasty. My coworker order the grilled calamari which was fresh and delicious! I got the mussels in white wine butter sauce. It was too lemony and not enough butter flavor. The bread was not warm and was a little dry/too much...so I didn't eat any bread. The mussels were okay they didnt taste that good. I got the chicken parm rose pizza which comes with rose pink sauce, chicken, fresh mozzarella and basil. The pizza was decent size for $13. It was pretty good overall with a think crust. I got the blush cocktail next and that was also really good. Overall the staff was really nice, cocktails were good. Food was good but nothing special but it was a great deal for happy hour. I think I would come again and not get the mussels this time.
