The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare--tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor with a great sear on the outside. Each slice practically melted in my mouth. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, elevated by fresh herbs and truffle. The crab cake was a standout too--golden on the outside, moist inside, and packed with flavor, finished with a smooth, buttery sauce that didn't overpower it. We did order cosmos and I will say they were way too strong so we switched to wine which was better. Also a man came up at gave us $100 towards our meal so that may speak to the type of crowd. Went to Pietro's last night for a drink. No seats at the bar, but the host gave us a high top and made sure we were taken care of. (Thank you!) Martinis are the go-to there because they're an appropriate size, good value, and a really good price at $15 ...and the happy hour price is $12, I think. Highly recommend the Pepperoncini Martini. we went here a few nights ago and I just have to say that our server, Gabriel, was magnificent. he suggested cocktails and his humor was so witty and entertaining. he truly cared and made sure we were doing okay without being pushy. he even pulled the chair out for our kids. the food was also great. the prime salad was amazing. my partner had a steak which they enjoyed also. it wasn't too crowded and the dim lights made it even better, with a warm cozy feeling. we are definitely coming back in the summer. read more

Came here during weekday lunch time. It wasn't crowded at all. We like the settings: they have both dining area and a bar. The place is pretty big. We had the shrimp Lejon and Crab cake as the appetizers. The shrimp was huge, wrapped with bacon. The crab cake was just okay - it tastes like it has too much stuffing instead of crab meat. I wouldn't order that again... the dipping for crab cake is also just okay. I'd prefer the dipping for the shrimp. For entrees, we had the scallops and half sandwich. The scallops are just great! Cooked to be perfect. It comes with a side and we got the onion rings, which are huge and delicious. My half sandwich is good. For the prime rib sandwich, they did not even ask how I want it cooked... but it turned out to be good. A little overdone, but okay. However, they did to make my soup order wrong. I wanted the soup of the day , which is chicken fajita, but they gave me lobster bisque, which I didn't say anything. One thing to notice is the speed of service is really slow... it took 20 minutes for the appetizers to be ready. Then another 30 minutes for the entrees. Yall know I'm a yelper, so I depend on reviews to choose new spots to try. Hubby wanted to go to West Chester for date night, so I looked through a few spots. Funny enough, we already tried the top three recommendations in West Chester. This place was on the list of top recommendations that we haven't tried. I liked through the reviews and and the pics of dishes, and was sold. I made resys for us and we arrived just in time. Although we were originally seated inside, our server was kind enough to sit us outside because the air conditioning was doing its job! lol. We started with apps- fried oysters, cheesesteak panzotti rolls, and I got the watermelon salad. For mains we had lamb chops and the 8oz strip. My strip steak was served with the Roquefort garlic butter (soooo good!), and the lamb chops came with a demi glacé and a white sauce. We had the creamed spinach to share. A quick warning, some of the sides are very large, as are the desserts . The server will probably warn you. One point to note ... if you're trying to go for a special meal, don't go on Friday night at 7:30! There is a risk that the place will be crowded, the kitchen overworked, and the dining room a little noisy. That's the case at every single restaurant. We have been coming here yearly following our local golf outing for the last 5+ years. The service is always amazing. Knowledgeable staff. We have a quiet back room, but the entire restaurant looks great for a date night. The hors d'oeuvre plates were great, even with a large party. The bar does a great job too with an array of different spins on old Classics. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Dessert is great too, if you have room! First stop on our new monthly date night (married 31 years) and very much looking forward to a superb ribeye to go with a night alone with my beloved. Good memories of a magnificent Tomahawk steak there years ago. Unfortunately, the $56 Cowboy Ribeye was a huge disappointment. No sear. Not tender. Not as thick as I like, and no notable aging (wet or dry). Chunky and chewy. Ordered medium but came more rare and hard enough to cut that I wondered if my knife was dull. My wife's Cajun Delmonico was overwhelmed with seasoning and a bit dry. Our server was a delight but only offered to take back and cook a bit longer. Never a good option, IMO. Restaurant is VERY loud so we had to project to hear each other. It was still a good date night, but, as I said, disappointed it didn't include a memorable marbled masterpiece. read more

Christmas Eve 2025. A special time for us to dine with family and friends and each year we try out a restaurant we have never been to. This year we chose Pietro's Prime and frankly, we were quite disappointed. We had 6:00 reservations and upon arrival the very friendly owner told us our table was almost ready and it would have been perfect for us - in the main dining room near the bar and fireplace with ambience. I use a wheelchair so navigating a busy restaurant can sometimes be tricky, but this would have been no problem. Instead, the owner had a table in the back room that was ready and a Hostess took us to that room and our table. First Red Flag! We were shown to a table at the very back of the restaurant in a room that had ZERO ambiance - all of the HVAC commercial ductwork showing on the ceiling, our candle was never lit on the table (our table was a folding table with the leafs let out and the metal bars underneath hitting our legs if we moved to the left or the right. There was no problem navigating to that room and table. But, the room was bare, unassuming walls...just not good! We should have asked for another table but given it was Christmas Eve and they had an almost full restaurant, we decided not to make a fuss. Our server was polite and efficient. We ordered Calamari as well as a Jumbo Shrimp cocktail for starters which were very good. But, when it came to our main dishes, Red Flag 2! The lamb chops ($59) were ordered medium rare and came bloody in the center. The Cowboy Bone in ribeye was quite small for the $62 price and had a funny taste. The garnishing on the large white plate was a single 3 inch onion stick. The 8 ounce filet ($50) was ordered medium and was very good - although the filet looked lonely on a huge white plate, again with only a single small onion stick. Just an odd presentation for a pricey meal. The sides, all priced at $13 each, except for the Lobster Mac & Cheese ($25) were generous - huge potatoes that were described as baked but were instead steamed. The mushrooms seemed steamed and while a large portion, not very tasty. Instead of being served with carrots, the mushrooms would have been much better sauteed in butter and garlic to compliment the steaks. The dessert was delicious - an Italian Lemon Cream Cake. Overall, disappointing for our special, annual Christmas Eve dinner and our first time at Pietro's Prime. Maybe an off night for the chef. Each year, we have lots of $$$-$$$ restaurants to choose from with a great menu and a warm and inviting atmosphere. This year, we were expecting the same. We enjoyed mango martins which were very good. For appetizers we got the lobster bisque and the crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was average, a little mushy to be honest. The lobster bisque was very bad. We honestly couldn't even finish it. The dominant flavor was sweetness and it overpowered everything else. We finished off with a brownie sundae. I came here with my girlfriend for valentine's day, as a nice treat to ourselves. And while the service was decent, it was most certainly not to the degree that I would expect from an expensive steakhouse such as this. The food also followed the same trend. My girlfriend and I split their cheesesteak pazzoti which has potential but certainly lacked filling and was very deceptive (the menu says you get six but you get six half pieces which was a tad irksome in the moment especially for 15 bucks). For our mains, we also split the porterhouse with their scampi butter sauce. We did ordered the steak medium rare but came out as rare in some parts and medium in the others (I do not know how that is possible), but it was tender (aside from annoying pieces of chewy gristle ) and well seasoned for the most part but I did expect more for a $60 steak (it was saved by the scampi butter sauce). For our sides we got their special lobster mac and cheese and their au gratin potatoes. The lobster mac and cheese might have been the star of the night being perfectly creamy with a nice lobster taste with decent chunks of lobster meat, but their potatoes were about average where all I tasted was cream and potatoes with very little seasoning or cheese (also I did slightly expect more for an $11 side). The ambiance is also very mid, and while it is the most spacious restaurant in West Chester, the dining room in the back where we were seated have back room dining room vibes and was not reflective of a fancy steakhouse, but it was different for the other dining rooms. All in all, it was not a horrible experience, having its pros and cons but there are certainly better places to get a fancy dinner in town that are actually worth the price. read more

This spot is pretty hit or miss and later we've been experiencing some misses. To start, everyone can appreciate a complimentary bread but they served flavorless rolls that would have been better left off the table. We ordered two 8oz fliets and those were good. I got mine marsala style and I loved that topping. But, the sides were really bad. We got lobster Mac and cheese. It tasted like velveeta and had almost no lobster. The Brussels sprouts were soggy instead of crispy. The service was OK but quite quirky. The room was uncomfortably hot. The highlight of the night was the chocolate lava cake dessert. I would give this place a try if you have never been but that might be one the last tries for us. read more

There is lots of nearby street parking that you can pay for by downloading the Passport app to your phone, especially if you don't frequent West Chester. We visited on a Saturday at around 5PM with reservations and were surprised by how crowded it was at such an early time. Maybe it was that people were there for special events or for Valentine's Day, and/or maybe the place is just that popular. The reason I visited were the high marks that the restaurant received online. The New York Strip that I ordered looked like perfection, and it tasted excellent, too. Although I don't normally drink martinis, I tried one, specifically since this is a martini bar, and the drink was a pleasant experience of different flavors. Our server was pleasant and informative, too. My issues were the noise level and slowed service at the end of the meal. It was harder to hear each other after the room filled up, and it felt like the service slowed, taking a while to get our desserts and check. My espresso arrived after I was finished with my dessert, which wasn't ideal. Maybe that is just part of the experience when you have such a great reputation, and everyone wants to eat at your establishment, but it is why I am giving a four instead of five.
