Consistently great pizza. I've actually never ordered anything else here in all my years of coming. I love that they have a whole wheat crust option that (to me, anyways) tastes just as great as their original crust. How they manage to make their crust light and crunchy yet you can still pick it up and eat it with one hand?... the world may never know. read more

Had my child's birthday here today. We were in the Castraberti room. Everything was great and everyone really enjoyed the pizza. I had my own 10th birthday party here as a child and the pizza hasn't changed. Still a light, buttery crust that keeps you reaching for another slice. Salad was fresh and the dressing was good. Pasta lacked flavor and was just ok. We had a great waitress named Fiona helping us throughout the party. She did a really good job and was friendly and helpful. I took away the 5th star due to the old and dirty bathrooms. They are in dire need of update. I was embarrassed to have our family and friends use the restroom with their kids and to change diapers. Ok, I'm another biased reviewer that has been going to the leaning towah since I was a kid. If I was from out of town and stopped for a bite. I would expect Italian pizza on a chewy crust with chunky sauce and fresh mozzarella. I know better, the pizza crust is very light and crispy and stays together no matter how, now my kids, wave it around. The buffet is good for people in a hurry or hungry teenagers but they do have table service so have them bake you a pizza and get some sides, lasagna. Especially when you have little kids who might eat 1 or 2 pieces. They yell your name when your order is ready and bring it to you. Yes the pizza is a bit like frozen and they sell it that way to go if you like, good to keep in the freezer. Check out Lenny Clarke or Steve Sweeney when they are at the comedy club, very funny. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and to this day it's still one of my favorite pizza places IF NOT my top. It's different than any other pizza, you just can't compare it to Regina's or Santarpio's (which are both also very good). It's almost like a greek style, only BETTER. I salivate just thinking about it. Lunch buffet is a really good deal. If you think the place is too noisy for dinner time, since there are always tons of kids in here, you can sit at the bar and order there. It's much quieter. LOVE this place. Went to a Giggles show last weekend and have to say it was one of the best comedy shows I have been to in a long time. I grew up in the North Shore and have gone to some comedy clubs in Boston, but Prince seems to get just as good if not better lineups every weekend. I brought my family there and we ordered meatballs for an appetizer that could have fed all 5 of us. For dinner I had their classic chicken parm - if you have been to Prince and haven't tried their chicken parm, then you haven't tried one of the originals. Glad to see that some restaurants along Route 1 still serve fresh food! We went to the bar after the show and had a few drinks - couldn't believe how busy it still! If you are looking for great Italian food, a fun atmosphere, and don't want to pay a fortune, then I highly recommend Prince. read more

The service here is hit or miss. The most recent visit was the best. Friendly and family atmosphere - they serve the best root beer in Massachusetts. It took some time but they finally have mastered the art of delicious gluten-free pizza dishes. Prices are fair and service was spectacular considering on how busy they were. God I love me some prince. Couldn't tell you the amount of times I've been here for the unlimited pizza special. Over the years it seemed like every sporting banquet I had was here. Place is pretty big and can accommodate a lot of people. Pizza isn't the greatest, but it's very unique and you just know it's prince pizza. Since I moved to Boston I've had a difficult time finding a classic family Italian place to eat. Many places I've tried are just too fancy for my tastes. Prince Pizza is right up my alley. The food is great. I love the pizza! It reminds me of pizza I had when I was a kid. Not too greasy but a nice thick crust just the way I like it. The spaghetti and lasagna are pretty good too. There are a few things holding this place back though. The customer service is poor. The kids working the front counter act like they don't want you there and aren't very helpful. I was trying to ask about the lasagna and the girl acted like I was bothering her. Also, this isn't a full service restaurant, which is fine, but don't expect any customer service. The prices are decent but they don't offer soda refills which seems bizarre for a pizza joint. If you get a chance to enjoy a show at the comedy club you should. The comedians are decent and you can order dinner before the show starts. I recommend Prince Pizza. I would give it four stars if it wasn't for the lousy customer service. read more

This is solely based on a private party. I have gone there and got chicken broccoli ziti and it was so good. However the party was nice because the room was nice but now where it all started going downhill. The food the pizza was cold and was sitting there for awhile and the chicken broccoli ziti was cold and chicken was hard. It was put in a bowl which I just find to be very stupid because it is cold and mind you it's very expensive to have a party there. My dad initially found this place word of mouth at around 1990, and ever since then we have gone back specifically for the fantastic buffet. The people who work there are amazing and they always have a Jalapeño pizza ready to be put into the oven once they see us! Have been coming here 30+ years with my family. The environment was super family friendly everyone was welcoming, the staff always talked to us. The food was awesome, when in doubt go to prince. However, over time the food has become disappointing, poorly made. The staff there is so rude, specially the one healthy lady who takes orders, her attitude can turn away any customer. Maybe she was having a bad day, and releasing her anger onto customers, but cant say for sure because we've encountered her snarky attitude on multiple occasions. After ordering my food and having to listen to her extremely rude comments and attitude, I'm sure none of us were in a mood to even eat there anymore. The best part, she lady started serving us and when it came time to pay the bill she became extremely nice. In the end, the service and quality of food here is just decreasing over time. read more

Several times I have encountered issues related to loyalty points not accruing properly, and he has actually gotten infuriated when I brought my concerns to his attention. Another one of the stops along Rt 1 we wanted to try cause of the cheesiness of the decor. We arrived at 9:30pm on a Sunday. First of all, we found it a bit strange that this place was cafeteria-style; we thought we were going to a restaurant. Nevertheless, we ordered a pizza and a pitcher of beer (medium pizza with 3 toppings and Bud came to $27), and sat ourselves. We noticed that there were a few families there with screaming children - past their bed time, to be sure - but everyone cleared out soon after we sat down because staff started turning off lights in different sections of the restaurant and taking all the table settings away. The pizza was out in about 10 mins. It was very, very hot, tasted ok - we both couldn't eat the crust because it was a bad combo of dry and buttery. After we had our first couple bites, all the employees sat at a table together and one clapped twice really loud, I guess that was to signal my husband and me plus the other 2 families that were there that it was time to get out. Bad service, semi-ok pizza, but totally not worth the stop. Won't ever be back. read more

I have been to this place twice and both times I found it a let down. The waitstaff is not great or helpful, the pizza tastes like cheap boxed frozen pizza, and the serving sizes are not accurate (the large antipasto salad says it feeds 4 people, well it definitely would not even feed 2 anorexic girls. It is tiny, for 4 people). There are rooms for events but nothing is ever labeled to say which event is where and no one is all that excited to point you in the right direction. I will say that both times I have been here I had a few drinks at the bar and the bar tenders are fantastic and helpful. But, that is the only positive thing I can say about the place. read more

Last night, I phoned in an order and went to pick it up. After paying and waiting a good half an hour, I noticed a look on one counter server's face that managed to combine panic with apathy. I approached the counter and after being ignored for many minutes, I was finally able to ask a question I already knew the answer to.... was my order lost? I was told yes it was. Five more minutes went by and I asked the manager for my money back. Without even asking me for the details he gave me my refund. To write any more would just be too painful. When I was in elementary school I came here for tons of birthday parties and we got to play games and throw cream pies in the faces of losers. Yes I am completely serious. However, maybe it is because there are so many rules and regs now but I feel like the place is a sad version of what it used to be. The food isn't great, there isn't a sense of fun, its still stuck in the 1980s aesthetically but not in a good way. It's like walking into your grandparents cape house after winter when it still smells dusty and the dark paneling and heavy wood colonial furniture is warn on the edges but still familiar, the smell is kinda damp, that kinda 80s feel. So I do still wish the place well when I pass and remember the not creepy clowns and awesome balloon contests and pie faces, but I keep driving. read more

I want to like this place because it's (a) convenient and (b) pizza - which is one of my favorite foods. But no, I simply can't. God knows I've tried. The only good thing about this place is their mozzarella sticks...lots of breading so they're actually crispy. But the pizza is deep dish and although they charge a lot for their "specialty toppings" they're really stingy with them. I paid $2 for essentially 1 complete artichoke heart. Really?!??! This place is a joke. You line up to order and then sit down. Some server then drops off your food at your table and that's that. If I wanted cafeteria style food, I would go to a food court. The place had some real potential back in the day, it was fun for a youngster's birthday party or whatever, but now, it's just sad. I've been coming here as a kid with my family! The service in the restaurant is always delightful. But then we catered from them this past weekend. The owner wrote the wrong date down for my order. when we showed up to pick up the food the cook was confused. So we ended up having to wait for a hour until they could finish the order. On the upside they gave me 2 boxes of their To-Go pizza's on the house. Everyone at the event did enjoy the food as well. We'll always be back. read more
