Medium Heat Hot Chicken sandwich - Hardly any meat on it
    J E.

For those who aren't aware, Prince's Hot Chicken was the originator of the Nashville Hot Chicken! I've tried their original location and when in BNA recently, I decided to try this location instead of a Hattie B's which was nearby. The place was really clean, which prompted me to ask if it was brand new and the ladt working there told me they were a couple of years old. I used to come thru BNA often, but the last time was a couple of years ago. My preference in BNA was always Party Fowl, which was great. This is a carry-out only type of place, where you use a kiosk to place your order when you come in. Then they call you when the order is ready. I took my order to my airline's lounge to enjoy and it was packed great, so everything was nice, neat, and orderly. The sandwich had better bread than chicken... sad to say, the chicken wasn't very impressive. The BBQ beans were small type beans and basic, not much flavor there. The potato salad was a mustard-based, which is my fav, but it had sweetness and pickles in it... Mustard-based tater salad ought never have pickles in it - no salad of any kind should have pickles. The fries were decent. Overall, I wasn't impressed... this definitely wasn't as good as my previous visit to the Prince's that made this craze popular. I'd most definitely never come here again.

It meets the stereotype for airport food, unfortunately: on the expensive side and not very good. At first I was impressed with how fast my order my ready, until I bit into it. The outside is crispy which is nice, but the inside is so dry and stringy, it must have just been sitting out in the heat. I got medium spice because I was scared that any hotter would be too hot and I didn't want to be in an airport/airplane for that. But next time I would def go for hot. The heat itself is there but it's not the most flavorful. I do like that they give you a lot of sauce though. The blue cheese came with my order but I think they might have just thrown in the light raspberry vinaigrette as extra.

Located in the Nashville airport on the way to the D gates, this is one of the Prince's locations (along with Assembly Hall) that doesn't sell bone-in chicken. It makes sense since it takes 20+ minutes to freshly fry chicken for service and airport restaurants need far faster turnaround. With that being said, getting my food within a minute or two of ordering at the kiosk was kind of worrisome. I guess everything here is pre-fried and let to sit in a warmer - all they do is toss the chicken in spices and hot sauce for service. Chicken Tenders, Medium ($13.20) - At medium heat, this seems to be spicier than medium at other hot chicken places, including the Prince's in town. The tenders don't look especially fiery red, but the heat does build quite a bit in the mouth. Good to generate some sweat on a cold day, I suppose. The flavor profile doesn't match the in town locations from what I can remember. Other than the heat, the seasoning is inconsistent and overall a bit bland. It's definitely missing that liberal dusting of family secret spice mixture. To add insult to injury, the tenders are fried way too long. There's no moisture within whatsoever and instead the tenders are dry, tough, and stringy. The one upside - they gave me five tenders instead of the four that are supposed to come in the order. The tenders aren't good, but I can't complain about getting more than I paid for. (2/5) Hash Rounds ($2.50) - These are also not very good. Extremely over-fried, dried out and tough to eat. The only reason I ended up finishing them was to help dampen out some of the heat from the tenders. (2/5) What a disappointment for my last meal in Nashville. I don't think this airport location of Prince's has a good representation of hot chicken. I feel bad for people who want to try Nashville's signature dish and have their first experience here.

Solid chicken sandwich. I got it at the hot level and was warned it was spicy. It came out fast and tasty 5 minutes later. Great on flavor and for spice I'd give it a 5/10. It's medium compared to what I'm used to and since I've got another flight, this was the perfect amount of heat.

Between Hattie Bs, Prince's, and party fowl, I'll have to say Prince's is my least favorite. The medium spicy fried chicken sandwich was a bit spicier than I like, but it's really the flavorless, soft bun that does not add to the sandwich. Some say Prince's is the founder of Nashville hot chicken and now I've tried twice and have not been impressed. Convenient location at Nashville airport, where you can try all 3 options and form your own opinion. Prince's is also to-go only with no indoor seating

Chicken biscuit sandwich hot spice level.

I flew through the Nashville airport and had 5 hours for a layover. I tried both Prince's hot chicken and Hattie B's and Prince's was far better. I ordered the same spice levels at both and was disappointed in Hattie B's. Prince's however was mouth tingling, spicy and flavorful without being too hot. It was fresh and delicious and amazing. I wish they were open all day Sunday, I'll have to try to get some another time soon when I fly back through.

Went here last night for a snack after bar hopping on broadway It was recommended by one of my uber drivers who was born and raised in Nashville It did not disappoint ! 5/5 Chicken was delicious Decent portions I got " light mild " and my mouth was slightly on fire but it was tolerable Highly recommend!!!!

You can't stop at Nashville without getting hot chicken, so my husband had to stop at Prince's Hot Chicken at the airport. He ordered the 4 tenders (medium heat) with a side of fries on their self order kiosk. I wanted to try the famous Prince's too, but I'm very sensitive to spice. However, the staff was kind enough to not put any sauce on one tender so I could try their chicken plain. They even packed it up in a separate box for me with a slice of bread and pickles. The chicken was juicy and nicely breaded. The crinkle cut fries had a little bit of seasoning on them which enhanced the flavor. This was elevated chicken tenders & fries. I'm not sure what the normal pricing at Prince's is, but the meal (with a drink) did feel a little pricy at $20+. There is no seating at the airport location, but it was easy to take the food to go to eat at a concourse.

Really great to see one of the OG, and my personal favorite, Hot Chicken spot in the airport. This Prince's oddly sits alone and is located on the way to Concourse D. Given its location, there is never a long wait, so it makes a perfect spot to swing by when in a rush through the airport. While I am not the biggest fan of hot chicken before a flight, I do enjoy swinging by Prince's once I have landed back in Nashville. Always great to scoop up a tender combo for the road home! However, I do make an exception for breakfast, as the chicken tends to be a bit less aggressive and traveler friendly. The chicken biscuit or the burrito, depending on my hunger level, are usually solid options. With that, my only gripe is the biscuits themselves. Sometimes they are too crumbly and do not hold up well, or on the flipside where they are a little tough. It is honestly hit and miss. Service is solid here, I think a bit better than other quick service spots due to their customer volume. But whatever it is contributed to, I like it. The space is always clean and well maintained. Overall, enjoy having this Prince's in the airport!

Okay, Nashville Hot chicken is world-famous now (we even saw it being offered in Canada) and I had some time at the Nashville airport and decided to try some. There were several other hot chicken spots but this looked to be the quickest. I just got the regular "hot" chicken sandwich and fries, nothing too crazy-hot. I have to say, it was okay but not incredible. I thought it would be more special, but at the end of the day, I could have just added a bunch of hot sauce to my a piece of fried chicken at home and called it good. I can check it off my list now.

Four chicken tenders medium, crinkle fries, honey mustard
    Caitlin D.

I had a long layover at BNA and the one stop that was a must was Prince's. I got four chicken tenders, medium, but regret not going hotter. Crinkle fries are great and the service was fast. The only negative was the price-- both for the meal itself and having to pay extra for dipping sauce (although the honey mustard is so good it's worth it).

When in Nashville,... had to get the Hot To-Go chicken! They have a kiosk to order, but they also have a register. Takes only about 10 minutes for them to cook it up fresh. Shouldn't be too bad if you have a layover connection to make. Eat it there or eat it at your gate. I got the four chicken tenders and it was a very healthy portion size. They put white bread on the bottom to absorb any extra sauce so the chicken doesn't get soggy, which I really appreciated. The fries weren't that great so I would pass on them next time. I would only caution that it is hot. I got the medium and it was very spicy--but good flavor. I wanted to try this one since it was considered more OG to the trend. Cheers!

Through the years that I've been enjoying these fresh, crispy, and spicy chicken during my nashville visits, I know that I can always count on high quality food and great service consistently - regardless of whatever location you are visiting or how busy or what time of day it is. I'd say this certainly rings true if you're passing through Terminal C at the Nashville airport and want to get a hot chicken fix and are unable to venture into the city. As with every Hattie B's location you can expect a line and a crowd but it moves quickly (and there's plenty of seating which is a plus). On this recent visit I went with my usual of a 3 tenders combo....being an airport location it is a bit pricier than the city locations (and your combo only comes with one side not TWO but what can you expect from an airport spot). The food comes out fast and smoking hot and is every bit as delicious as the standard set by any other Hattie B's location you'll find in the city. Purely for research purposes, of course - we wanted to get the full experience. I ordered some sort of cheesy bacon chicken nugget dish (don't remember what they called it) and my friend ordered chicken tenders with a side of cheesy bacon fries that we planned to share.
