    Biscuits and Gravy
    Doug G.

Being in Nashville, you have inevitably eaten at a Pucketts around the metro area, so it only makes sense that they tossed one in the airport. This Pucketts is situated in the D Terminal and has a variety of the southern favorites you know and love from the brick and mortar locations. With that being said, keep in mind that this is an airport location, so quality is not as high as other locations. I have popped by this location a few times on my travels with the most recent being before an early morning flight. I was sat and served fairly quickly, and the waitress was friendly and helpful throughout the whole visit. I was after breakfast and ended up with the biscuits and gravy with a side of hashbrown casserole. The biscuits were hot and fluffy, gravy was hot and packed with sausage, but the casserole was cold and underwhelming. Ill avoid it on future visits. Sadly they had not made sweet tea for the morning, which would have paired perfectly, but it forced me to drink water, so I guess it was a win... Overall, solid 3.5 for this Pucketts location. Its a good spot for a quick and decent meal when at BNA.

Not sure what some of the negative reviews are about. I had decent service, and the food was good too. Some sweat tea with The Southern Platter - a biscuit, potatoes, and gravy with fried chicken and scrambled eggs. Yeah, it's an airport...but it is in Nashville so the ambiance includes live music too. If you have some time to kill before a flight this is really not a bad option.

Another great lunch in between flights with yummy food, great service, and wonderful ambience with live music too. Our food was delicious and server super sweet! We got to sit right by our vocalist and what a treat.

Waiting for my flight and sat at the bar. Immediate service with a smile. Got an Irish coffee and it was GREAT. Had breakfast and it was perfect. A live country singer made the morning Tennessee Perfect. Clean place with lots of open tables and bar space. Glad I stopped in for a bite

I am so tired of monopoly restaurants in airports. Don't get me wrong. There are some stellar spots out there amongst the terminals in different cities. Those are just gems. This is the chaff that makes you enjoy those. The prices were loud and proud, but I was expecting that. The food was sub par quality which I was hoping to avoid. When they have a sit down spot in an airport and give you plastic wrapped utensils that are so cheap that the fork tines are like spaghetti, you know you are paying a lot for nothing. I had a wrap with fries. I should have just gotten protein at a newspaper stand. That wrap had the taste of hospital food without the care of my health. The fries were ok and ketchup makes it all more homogenous. The seating was terrible and the staff were overwhelmed. Management dragging in more dimes at other people's expense. Not a spot I will visit again during a Nashville layover. There's better spots in the airport.

Great spot to grab a bite at the airport. I always enjoy the live music in Nashville and Pucketts had a great artist playing while I ate. I had the chicken fried chicken which was delicious. The bartenders are super friendly and took great care of me. Enjoy!!!!

Was connecting thru Nashville and needed to eat and chose this restaurant. Pretty cool vibe with live music and BBQ! Tried the pulled pork bbq - pretty good for a restaurant in the airport. I'd give it 4 stars.

I saw there was a Pucketts and had to go! We were greeted and sat rat away. They were only serving breakfast, I wanted to try some appetizers, but was unable to, no biggie. My first cup of coffee was cold, I asked my husband if his was cold, his was piping hot. He took a sip of mine and said nope, we have to get you a fresh cup! We let our server know, she replaced it right away. Hot coffee was much better! I had the Clucker the biscuit was soft, fluffy, and flavorful! The chicken had the perfect amount of crunch! The pickles were amazing! The chipotle ranch is a perfect addition to the plucker! Jam packed full of flavor! My husband had the breakfast burrito. When he took his first bite he immediately said this is soooo good! It was served with salsa that was hot like fire and it had a little kick to it! Perfect for the burrito! We split the hash brown casserole. It was cheesy, hot, cooked with some love! Everything was delicious!!

I had an hour and a half layover so I was looking for a spot at the airport near gate D3 that I could sit at for awhile to enjoy good food and relax prior to departure. I've been to this Pucketts before and enjoyed my breakfast, the live music & ambience. This time I came for lunch and I was greeted right away by a friendly server who sat me. She immediately took my order and told me about their delicious bloody Mary's. Now, being from Wisconsin where we don't play with drinks of any kind, especially our bloody Mary's, I was happy to give it a try. It was good but I must say no chaser, no toppings besides a lime & a couple olives, I wasn't amazed by any stretch. I'm not faulting this restaurant as much as this could just be how bloodies are made here in TN. For lunch, I ordered the meat & 2 sides and while I waited I was thoroughly entertained by the bartender, named Chris, I believe, who changed hats/outfits at least 10 times in the hour. A construction outfit, firefighter, chicken hat and more, this guy clearly works hard for his $ and to make people laugh. I appreciate that as I watched him work the room while serving drinks. My server was very nice and my food came within 10 minutes. Food was good, not great. I ordered brisket with baked beans and sweet potato fries. Brisket didn't have much flavor to be honest which disappointing as I had the belief it would exceptional here in Nashville. So, will I be back? I'm not sure as I really need good quality food when traveling. I know I am at airport but I travel frequently and I know this restaurant can do better. The service is great, ambiance great and prices are reasonable so maybe

    Pulled pork sandwhich with fries.

I was seated and then no one came to take my order so I got up and waited to be seated again and ordered from person seating me. Food came quickly after that. Pulled pork sandwich was just that. Pulled pork on a bun - no pickles or anything else on the sandwich. Limited number of fries - more what we should eat but we want more. It was okay. One sweet tomato type sauce only.

You've got the Jack Cawthon's legendary…read moreJack's Bar-B-Que, pitmaster Carey Bringle's incomparable Bringle's Smokin' Oasis, and then you have Edley's. For the longest time, Bringle's was my absolute favorite in town, but Edley's may have just managed to take the crown. I almost feel like I'm cheating on Mr. Bringle by saying that, but as he famously put it, "You don't have to hate somebody else's barbecue to like mine." My default order at any top-tier joint is either a brisket plate or a multi-meat combo platter with brisket as the anchor. Edley's plates come properly equipped with two sides and a slice of cornbread. Where they really set themselves apart, though, is the menu flexibility: -The Add-Ons: You can throw on a $5 upcharge to add an extra 3 oz of meat or a jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage. -Burnt Ends: Edley's offers burnt ends, which is a bit of a rarity in town and something you don't easily find over at Jack's or Bringle's. If they're available when you order, grab them. Price-wise, Edley's isn't cheap, but it's far from overly expensive. It sits at fair market value, costing roughly what you'd pay for a comparable meal at any of the other major players in Nashville. The meats are high quality, wonderfully smoked, and packed with deep flavor. Beyond the rare burnt ends, the sauces here are what truly elevate the meal. Across the board, Edley's house sauces--from their classic red to their white sauce--are probably my personal favorites in the city. Between Jack's, Bringle's Smokin' Oasis, and Edley's, you genuinely cannot go wrong--Nashville barbecue is in great hands. But right now? Edley's holds my top spot. It is my ultimate "treat yourself" meal in town.

I had the brisket tacos, which were flavorful, though a little dry. I am giving grace here because it was takeout and possibly was much more moist prior to transport. I did like how the toppings brightened things up: cheese, slaw, pico de Gallo, bean salad, and fried jalapeños. I also had the Nashville hot link, a smoked sausage with house made spicy pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños. It was indeed pleasantly spicy. We shared some fries, which were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. They also have ribs, wings, bbq nachos and fries, fried pickles, bbq chicken and turkey, various sandwiches and platters. They also offer Nashville's staple hot chicken in platter, sandwich, and taco form. Catfish is another option, in all the same varieties. Sides: cornbread, Mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans (in bone broth and bacon). Cold sides such as bean salad, potato salad, Cole slaw. They also have a couple desserts and salads available, as well as a kids menu. Very affordable, as we got meals for 15 people for only 230 dollars.

I found myself over at Bellevue for dinner, 2 hours before my hockey game. I wanted quality food…read morebut not super carb heavy but also not something that could potentially wreck my stomach. After all, can you imagine having digestive problems while playing hockey? I love barbecue so I thought I'd try this place. I walked in and it wasn't at all busy at 5:32. However when I finished my order, the line was out the door. I asked the cashier what was good and the manager (maybe owner) walked over and I asked him. I wanted ribs or brisket, but needed a 2nd opinion. He said he would choose brisket because theirs is USDA Prime and he would put it against any other barbecue restaurant in Tennessee. Those are some bold words. So I ordered the brisket platter (fatty portion) with green beans and cinnamon baked apples. What I received was 3 good sized portions (1/2 pound) of fatty brisket. The meat was tender, melt in your mouth without an overbearing amount of fat clumped together. The bark was salty and very peppery. It was actually good enough to eat without a sauce. Speaking of, there was only one sauce on the table, so I used that. It was a sweet sauce, definitely honey-based but not overly sweet like other honey-based sauces I've had in the past. The thing is I love everything honey-related, so I would definitely buy this to take home. It was so good, I was scavenging for brisket fibers on my plate. So I praised the brisket but I think the shocker was the green beans. These were hands down, the best green beans I've ever had...ever. Salty, tender, peppery, with chunks of meat and fat, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Who would have thought that a side could be that good? Last but not least, the Cinnamon Baked Apples. I love baked/fried apples. Something about the tart and sweetness brings me back every time. The apples were soft, but not mushy. I would have liked them to be a little more tender and more slices of apples. I think there was more sauce than apples but nevertheless, they were great. Overall I'm glad I visited Honeyfire for the first time. I'm here often (near Bellevue) so I'll definitely be coming back again and again.
