This is the third nail place I've been to in Pasadena so far and I'm rating based on the price range. $55+10 for gel extension(one color)and tips. The lady is very aggressive for eg she uses her finger(with gloves) to wipe off the gel I tried in. No cotton pads or any safety assurance goin on during the manicure. Nail files were used pretty aggressively, the corner of my finger tip feel hurt now. There are ashes and debris of nail everywhere and inside the uv light. When I first step in there's a strong chemical too. The outcome is looking good, but I won't recommend just for your health and safety. read more

The worst nail experience i ever had. I came in WITH an appointment for Lena. Who wasn't there. I was taken by a nail tech who didn't know what she was doing. She asked the other nail techs how to do something. She took 2.5 hours. I left because I had a dentist appt that I was running late for. I messaged their Instagram and told them I wanted my nails fixed before I went on yelp to complain. Whoever manages their Instagram told me to go back and ask for Maggie. I went back and Maggie took just as long but a better job. I still had to walk her through I wanted. She left gaps and her blending was average. I paid $53 but gave the girl $60. Oh and while I was there for the SECOND time they asked me to move my car. Why don't you tell your clients before they come to park there? Inconvenient. One star just because I recommend Maggie. Other than that, don't waste your time. I wasted a TOTAL of 5 hours at this salon. I was looking for a salon that could do the ombré colored tips to complete my summer look! I called in for a same day appointment and they were able to see me right away! I noticed they accepted walk in too. The lady who worked on my nails was super detailed oriented and extremely attentive to what design I wanted. I showed her a picture from Instagram and she copied it exactly!!! I am so happy with my nails and will be back for sure! Process took about 1.5 hours and was super affordable!! While some of the nail techs do a good job on nails and designs they use cheap mma products which is what caused a fungus on my nail. 2 days after getting my full set my finger was aching so I poked at it and pus started coming out of it. I've been getting acrylics since I was 15 I've been go various shops and I've NEVER had fungus. Besides for using cheap dangerous products they obviously do not follow proper sanitation. Using dirty implements and cheap products is what causes nail fungus. Not to mention. I made an appointment for 4:30 and waited an hour to be seen. Each time the wait gets longer and longer. They know a full set takes at least 45 minutes to an hour but they had scheduled another full set at 5. The girl waited an hour till she was done with my nails. Why not fix your customer service and booking Schedules and focus on being clean and hygienic instead of booking back to back. Another customer who was a regular got super angry because she has been there for 3 hours for a simple pedi and acrylics. Not worth it ladies. Go somewhere else. read more

I know these ladies work hard and long hours, and I appreciate the few times I've gone before but a couple of days ago I got a Pedicure and I was cut by an older technician and she kept touching it and put callus remover into because it was on her gloves, I then woke up the next day with yellow pus and what looked like a Blitster where the cut was. Great experience here! The owner Cathy (or Kay?) was very friendly and was fair with the charges me for upgrading my Groupon for a mani pedi to one that includes a French manicure for both. She charged me $10 additional since it took extra time. She didn't try to sell me on anything additional and she and her colleague were very thorough and attentive. This shop was very welcoming. They let you sit in a massage chair while they prep your feet and do your pedicure, and give you these cute flat slippers to walk over to get your manicure. Then you stick your hands over a fan for 5 minutes and you're done! I'll admit, I arrived later than I said I would, so ended up waiting over half an hour while they finished with some previous customers. The entire mani pedi took about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Although the salon closed at 7pm, Cathy stayed with me all the way until 8pm and even helped me take pictures for Yelp (since there weren't many French manicure pics here)! They turned out great. I am happy with the results since they showed up great in pictures, and I am happy they were so dedicated to each and every customer. I went here to get my natural nails done with the SMS Dip. I told the tech my nails were very thin and fragile and can she repair the ones the are splitting or have already split with glue. She said the dip will cover it up and I trusted her. The day after the sides of my nails are getting snagged on my hair because they're are splitting at the edges. My index finger the dip just came off when I reached into my purse. The nail under is intact but the dip itself was so weak it just chipped off as if it was old polish, but it was only a day old. It's unfortunate cause the techs were very nice and the woman that did my pedicure was great and paid such great attention to detail and really took her time. The dip manicure however feels like regular polish and isn't supporting my weak nails at all. FOLLW UP as I said before this dip manicure was so poorly done and weak. My whole nail chipped off while I was simply wiping down my kitchen table. DIP should never be this weak and because of this poor job I have to get all my nails cut down and redone just after 2 days of getting them done. Such a waste of time and money. So upset because of this one tech all my nails have to be cut down. read more

I asked her if she could thin out the acrylic I had because the previous nail tech at a different salon made the acrylic too thick and uneven. Lena was amazing! She was able to thin out my acrylic to my liking. She was VERY detail oriented. She made sure I liked the nail shape and was patient with me when I didn't like the first nail color I picked out. The salon was clean which is something I always check for. It's been hard trying to find a good nail salon & nail tech, I think I finally found it! They also do great designs too! I am so disappointed in this place. Literally left In tears... I've been coming here for a bit before the Covid ... I have never had this experience. I know things are different but this still gives them no excuse. First red flag - I called a week ahead of time to schedule an appointment for a Friday my day off .... I get a call that following Monday saying I missed my appointment. I called back and told them no I scheduled for Friday. She said ok you missed your appointment we can reschedule you .... I said no I did not miss my appointment but yes I would like to be rescheduled please. So they rescheduled me. Red flag 2- they call me to be seated and I'm waiting for my nail tech too do my nails. She's on the phone scheduling appointments... eh whatever didn't bother me I'm an understanding person. Then before you know it she's chopping my nails off :( ugh I'm so devastated. I grew out my nails to do a gel mani pedi and she chopped my nails off like I was getting a full set. I asked her what she was doing .... and she said you wanted full set and I said no that's not what I wanted l wanted a gel mani pedi ... that's what I made the appointment for ... and I actually even told her when I got there I wanted a mani pedi .... she acknowledged me too ... if you really couldn't hear me from the mask then maybe you should have asked me what I wanted done to make sure instead of just acting like you knew what i wanted. Parking can be difficult but they have an additional lot if you're going to be there longer than the 1-2 hours Pasadena allows for street parking. The ladies here are consistent and do a good job. Pricing is fair for what you get. I've gotten full set, gel extensions, regular gel manicure and had my eyebrows waxed here. Used a Groupon for a full set of acrylics, paid $15 extra to get gel polish. I asked for almond shape and didn't get that, I got more of a round shape which I don't mind too much because it's still pretty. Except my thumbs are completely ugly looking, the nail is wider than the base so it ends up looking like a duck foot. I asked the technician to slim it down (before applying nail polish) to not look so ugly and she lied to me and told me it was impossible. The polish itself is done well though, so I appreciate that. I left a bigger tip than I normally would have because they ended up staying later than posted business hours and I felt bad about that. Ultimately I would never come back for acrylics, but I would come back for regular polish. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay extra to get the shape fixed though because the technician was too lazy to do it initially. read more

That's never happened to be before. The younger girl doing my gel mani was very nice but so much polish left on my skin, edges are rough, and it's not all even. It's pretty rare to find a nail salon that you can frequent whenever you're in town. Whenever I have a family event back home, I always stop here to get my nails manicured to feel like a queen. The gels last way over a week and it hasn't started peeling. I work in an environment where I'm with my laptop typing at all hours of the day so regular nail polish doesn't work. The gels, they last! I got mine In a pink ombré style. You can see in the photos that it looks really beautiful. And different. The person who did my nails, Kay, took over an hour to make sure everything looked great and my nails looked good. She is very personable and down to earth, with a good eye for aesthetics and symmetry. She redid one of my fingers because it didn't look good to her (although it looked fine to my untrained eyes)! Really thoughtful. I was really appreciative of it :) If you happen to be in the Pasadena area, do stop by if you have an hour or so. The prices are really great for the city, and the only thing is parking but it's worth the trip to look for it! read more

I came here for the first time and had a really pleasant experience! I've been trying several salons around Pasadena looking for somewhere to come regularly, but it's really hard to find somewhere consistent and reasonably priced that does a good job. I called to make an appointment a day ahead of time. I was running late and called day of and they pushed my appointment back thirty minutes no problem. When I walked in it wasn't very busy which, personally, is always a relief. They only have a few chairs but it's a spacious salon! I just feel like my experience is a lot more relaxing when it's not crazy busy. I was immediately seated at a pedicure chair where they did both my nails and toes (love to be pampered!) and it was very comfortable and clean. I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. Three of my nails broke so I got tips with dip powder on top on those three for an extra $10. Even with the added dip nails, this place is really affordable! They also do really cute and modern designs. I got plain nails this time but I'm going to spice it up my next visit! Pros: price, location, clean, friendly staff, cute designs, color choices, street parking Cons: tip in cash only (they let me tip on my card since it was my first time but I never carry cash so I just need to be prepared for that), most of the street parking is 1 hour only Hopefully this will become my new frequented nail salon! I always kept going because I liked how maggie did designs but lately im sorry to say but Maggie is very rough and sloppy. I've always made appointments and had to wait because they rather take more people then work on one person. They have the latest in gel, spa massage chairs, and fans built into their tables manicure tables, their tools come out from sterilized packaging, and the place is clean. So for a while now I had been in search of a nail salon close to home since I moved to Alhambra and lucky for me i stumbled upon this wonderful nail salon in Pasadena approximately 10 min away from my house and it was such a great experience. I walked in and was immediately greeted, mind you I had an appointment and they waisted no time in making sure I sat down so they could get started. They were also kind enough to direct me to the right place on where to park since I had parked In a parking structure that did not belong to them( saved me from getting a ticket, haha). I don't remember the name of the nail tech but I know she cares for her clients because she spent about an hour just shaping my nails. This might be irritating to some on a timely schedule but the fact that she wanted to make sure the shape wasn't sloppy really showed me that she puts in the most effort, and I definitely appreciated it.
