This review is difficult to write because I gave this salon multiple chances and truly wanted to support them as a Pasadena local, but what started as disappointment over birthday nails turned into concerns about sanitation, professionalism, pricing, and customer treatment. Please consider looking at the photos of my nails an hour after they were done. I initially overlooked things because there was one employee in particular who was very kind and I kept hoping my experience would improve. Unfortunately, after several visits, I began noticing issues that became impossible to ignore. I observed sanitation and maintenance concerns that made me uncomfortable, including openings in walls with exposed plumbing, tools appearing to be reused between clients without proper visible sanitization, and a communal nail brush in the bathroom that was later used during service. This raised hygiene concerns for me personally. My birthday appointment was the turning point. I specifically requested Serena. During removal, my nails chipped significantly and I felt the service was rushed. I requested nail strengthening treatment and a simple French tip, but the final result was thick and not what I had asked for. When I politely said I was unhappy with the outcome, the response immediately became uncomfortable. Cameras were repeatedly referenced even though I was simply discussing the result of my nails and not disputing what happened. I was told that whatever I chose next "better be right" because they did not want me returning unhappy later. The repeated references to surveillance felt unnecessary and unrelated to the issue I was trying to address. There were also concerns about pricing. The posted pricing showed removal and regular polish charges, however I was charged more than expected and left confused about the final total. The polish reportedly applied "free of charge" did not feel free when the overall bill had already increased. After payment there was little acknowledgment, no effort to resolve concerns, and the interaction felt abrupt. When my husband later tried to discuss the pricing and service concerns, the conversation escalated further. Cameras were referenced again, we were directed to contact the owner, a phone number provided was unreachable, and the situation became increasingly hostile rather than solution focused. At that point it stopped being about the money and became about customer treatment. I gave this place multiple chances because there were staff members I genuinely liked and wanted to support. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and disappointed. I would encourage management to focus on professionalism, sanitation transparency, customer communication, and handling feedback without escalation. For those looking in Pasadena, I would personally recommend seeking a salon with clearer pricing, stronger customer service, and a cleaner environment. read more

This salon is incredible! I went here to get a Gel-X set and gave the nail tech, Lyn, an inspiration image and she absolutely nailed it. The salon itself is clean, and I was able to walk in right away without a wait. I made an appointment for a few weeks later for another set, and was able to be serviced right at my appointment time. I have given Lyn several complicated designs, and she has gotten it perfect each time! Plus, the set itself lasts for weeks, which is greatly appreciated. Highly recommend! read more

On sanitation: I noticed exposed plumbing, and more concerning, they appear to reuse foot pumice stones and plastic pedicure linings between clients. The water had an unpleasant sewage-like odor. After paying an extra $20 for their "special scrub" in a massive open air jar, I broke out in a rash. These are not minor oversights, they're potential health hazards, especially if staff are not properly licensed as others have suggested. On professionalism: The owner, Serena, was confrontational when concerns were raised rather than addressing them with any accountability. Clients deserve to feel respected, not dismissed or argued with. I support local businesses wholeheartedly, which is exactly why I'd encourage you to spend your money somewhere that values both your health and your patronage. I got my nails done by Lyn here, and she was able to get it right every time. This time I went with a cateye with white polka dots design and it came out so cute. Lyn is very patient and knows which colors will go good together. She makes very good suggestions and very professional, I highly recommend going to her to get your nails done. read more

I've been a loyal customer of this salon for quite some time and have always appreciated the quality of their services--until my most recent visit, which left me extremely disappointed and concerned. During my routine spa pedicure and manicure, I noticed that the client next to me had a visible toe fungus. What alarmed me was that the same technician who was working on that client was assigned to me next. While I was relieved that she opened a new set of tools for my service, I became very concerned when I saw her return to the previous client to apply polish--using the same polish bottle and brush that would then be reused on other clients. Even the brush used to wipe excess polish was dipped back into a communal container without being sanitized. When the technician returned to start my service, I discreetly and politely voiced my concern. I tried to explain that although the polish and brushes hadn't touched me, they were now contaminated and should not be reused. Unfortunately, the technician didn't seem to understand the seriousness of the issue. Instead of addressing my concern or discussing it further, I was asked to leave. I left feeling both shocked and disappointed. This was not only unprofessional but also extremely unhygienic--and frankly, unsafe. As much as I've enjoyed their services in the past, I can't ignore the fact that proper sanitization and cross-contamination protocols were completely disregarded.
