This place was great. I wanted to get a mani/pedi before I went on vacation, but knew I was going to be at work a little later than normal. I called in the afternoon to find out how late they were going to be open. The woman told me they close at 7, but she would stay open for me. So I was walking into the place already in a great mood, and it only continued. The space is clean and fresh looking. The color selection was varied and large. I enjoyed the country music playing in the background, a little odd, but still so great. The pedicure chairs were the most comfortable I've ever been in. Helen was so friendly and did an amazing job with my mani/pedi. The mani lasted a week and a half and the pedicure is still going strong at 3 weeks. Really a great place. Helen, the owner, greeted us with a beautiful smile and immediately made us feel welcomed. Helen was professional, kind and very good at her job. Booked an appointment today. The owner left to go to Texas and there are new people. Excellent pedicure and now they added to pedicure hot stones and a mint cream. When I did my gel manicure for my fingernails I felt she was trying to speed or decided to chop up my cuticles. Left with my hands sore with little snips almost on a couple of fingers. Did French and some look diagonal and some look straight across with rounded nails. Makes me wonder if they're new in doing nails. I never get many cuts until today. I liked Princess Nails. The staff was friendly and I was able to walk in without much wait. I got the pedi/mani combo. The shaping and nail polish was done very well. All areas of the nail were covered without getting polish on the skin or cuticles. For the manicure I upgraded to the Gel style polish. It was worth the extra cost (+$15) as the polish outlasting the nail growth. They have spa style pedicure chairs with massage. The best part of the salon was the lack of smell. There was no observable chemical odor and I saw the technicians put used cotton in zippered bags before throwing in the trash. I will return here for my next visit. read more

AMAZING service. I have been to a number of nail salons over the years and they usually have one thing in common... NO work ethic. At a typical salon, the techs will accept all walk-ins and tell you, and the person before you, and the person after you, that the wait will be 5-10 minutes so they don't lose business. Therefore, service is rushed, waits are long, and scheduled appointments are hardly honored on time. At Princess Nails, customer service is very important. My first appointment there, Yvonne (owner) called to let me know she was running 15 minutes behind. I was surprised because I have never received a courtesy call from a nail salon before. A simple phone call to inform customers of delay is always appreciated. Upon arrival, Philip (owner's husband) started my pedicure while I waited for Yvonne to finish up with her client. I had forgotten to mention to them that I had gel polish so they didn't start the removal wrap until my pedicure was done. When Yvonne finished, she made sure I was happy with the shape and offered to fix anything I did not like. I noticed I had been the only customer sitting there for some time and realized it was over an hour past closing time. Not once did I felt rushed by Yvonne. Philip even offered me water and snacks. The only minor issue I have is the gel polish does not last as long as I would like. For me, it starts to peel at the corners after one week. If I don't pick at it, it will last for two weeks. I don't think it's Yvonne's technique or such but because I have always been told I have more skin growth near my cuticle area. Other places I have gone to usually buffs my nail bed evenly prior to polishing, therefore, the polish would not lift off as quickly. Overall: The place is clean. There is no chemical smell in the air. The staff are professional, accommodating, and super friendly. This is definitely my to go place. read more

I went for pedi with my mom and sister. I don't know what was wrong with the owner that day (I think she's the owner, she walks around like she's the BOSS). If you want to be barked at and told you are too old to get a certain color or style on your nails go there. I left feeling pissed and depressed. I like sparkly toenails in the spring/summer but apparently this lady didn't and had to ask, "Don't you think you too old for this?" I wanted to tell her that I thought my foot would look good in her face but I didn't. I kept my opinion to myself like she should have. Oh, and bring cash even though they accept cc they don't believe you when you tell them you don't have any. I was asked like 5 times for cash. Never again. read more

I stopped using this salon (or any) after having to see a podiatrist for an ingrown toenail. The technician who did the pedicure cut my toenails in such a way as to make it almost a certainty that an ingrown toenail would result. When I saw what he was doing and tried to question him, the language barrier got in the way. They did remove my acrylic nails safely, and now, after five years, I'm back to taking care of my own. What worries me about these nail shops is that you don't know if they have been professionally trained and licensed, and it is difficult to find a shop where anyone speaks English fluently enough to hold a conversation. read more

Princess Nails is still the best place to go in the Medford area. As I said before all the staff, especially Helen and Yvonne, go out of their way to remember your name. They really make you feel like family. The work that they do is excellent. I feel like every time I am at the salon there is a customer there who went somewhere else and is coming back to have them fix the mistake the other place made. I go there every two-three weeks and the shellac manicures I get last so long that people think I just got them done after 10 days. If you can make an appointment, you should, especially on Friday nights and Saturdays as it tends to get really busy. The salon is always really clean and you can see the staff cleaning throughout the day. My nails always look amazing, and it is because of everyone at Princess Nails!! read more

I got a mani-pedi and they were doing a pretty good job. I was considering coming back regularly since I just moved to the area. I liked their selection of colors, the space was very clean and had no chemical odor. On the other hand, they completely rushed through the color part of my nails. They took kind of a long time to do the rest and then did a TERRIBLE job on my nails. It legit looked like a child did it and I could have done a better job myself. The ladies do a great job with your fingers and toes. It does take awhile, once you account for the drying, but it well worth it. my manicures usually last the full two weeks, pedicures easily a full month. $12 for a manicure with easy parking in the municipal lots (and modern pastry right around the corner) is a pretty good deal. Chose Princess Nails because it was close to my apartment and was an inexpensive option. I did not wait long at all to get seated for my manicure, so that was great. Another positive of my experience was definitely their attention to detail while shaping and filing. The nail did an awesome job of making my uneven, bitten nails as even as possible. However, the gel manicure began to chip within a few days, and at the end of the nail; when I get gel manicures, they typically begin to chip at the base of the nail because of my cuticle growth, so I think she may have not sealed the ends very well. According to other reviews, I am not the only one to have had this problem. I probably would not get another gel manicure, but might come back for a pedicure just because the prices are so low and the technicians seem to spend a lot of time with their clients. read more

I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Every time I've gone there with an appointment they've been super accommodating and so nice! One time I even called looking for a 6pm appointment not realizing they closed at 6pm. I said no worries, I'll call another time! I think it was Yvonne on the phone. I went here for acrylics, and then two weeks later, a fill and a pedicure. The initial acrylics were OK. I felt like they were a bit too long and thick, but I also thought maybe I wasn't used to them. Then this week I got the fill done with another person (I don't know their names, but it was the older lady), and they are way better--so flat and short that they look real. I got my first gel manicure here and I loved it! I hadn't gotten a manicure in years so it was a nice experience to have beautiful nails for a few weeks! I got OPI not tonight honey with the gel and I loved how subtle it was- I left it on for 2.5 weeks and it didn't chip on the tips at all, just at the cuticle after about two weeks (and not much at all). It was a pleasant experience, and cheaper than other places around so I would definitely go back. They seem pretty busy on weekends though so I'll make an appointment. read more

I called for an appointment and was able to get booked easily (Monday morning perhaps). When we walked in, we saw the place to be super clean and warm/inviting. We sat right away in our massage chairs. Yvonne and Philip took great care of our feet. We had an easy time talking to them and these two really made you feel at home. They were professionals. Went there a week ago for the first time. There was a lot that I liked. The place is clean (but needed to be dusted) and modern-looking, with tasteful decor. The lady that did my nails was chatty and nice. There were only a couple other customers there, which was nice so the manicurists weren't rushing. Very friendly service; the few customers that came through in the time I was there the employees knew by name. What I didn't love was that the lady was a bit overly confident with my nails and filed them quickly and kind of unevenly - some nails were great, some lop-sided/slanted, though all more or less an equal length. No biggie, I fixed it when I got home. Overall still the best mani/pedi experience I've had so far (disclaimer, I've only done this like 3 times). Price is reasonable: $35 for both manicure & pedicure. And the paint job was pretty amazing. It's been literally a whole week and no chipping yet. read more
