We called Ryan and left him a detailed message that we would no longer need his services. His employee still showed up to clean our pool the following week although I had asked to terminate our services ASAP because we had chosen another pool service company. To our dismay we came home and found our pool cover thrown on our lawn next to the pool! We have a roller on which our pool cover is ALWAYS on so we can easily cover our pool after we swim which is daily. I called Ryan and left him a message regarding what his employee had done and texted him the photo of our pool cover crumpled on our lawn! He refused to fix the problem even after seeing the photo. He didn't respond to my husband nor me which I find unprofessional. Perhaps he thought since I was no longer a customer he would ignore us? Lastly we noticed our brand new pool cover (we paid $100+) just a month old now has two permanent grass big markings on it as it sat on our grass for 2 days and it is now stained brown on a few areas. I called Pro Care after reading great reviews on Yelp. I am so glad I did. We bought a new house with a 15 year old pool that needed a little bit of maintenance. Ryan came out and got the pool clean, replaced a light and upgraded our pump for us. After great work we hired him for weekly cleaning. It's been several months and we couldn't be happier. Our pool runs and works great. He also helped us get set up on our Pentair system and helped us transition the system when we installed pool solar. Switched to Pro Care and can definitely see a difference in the clarity of our water -- the pool really sparkles. I first reached out to them because my heater wasn't working and the pool service we had at the time didn't do repairs. They first tried "the easy fix" route to try to save me money but unfortunately it needed an entirely new heater. They had the old one out and the new one in working in about a week. Excellent work. Ryan really showed a lack of desire to stand out amongst a field where you would think excellent customer service would be the only way to make a go of it. He is the mow and blow of the pool servicing world. If you have a low maintenance pool and no issues, am sure he will be just fine. But if you do have any issues, he is not prepared to go too far out of his way. We had to plead with him to help us out once for our daughter's b-day party to replace a part to fix the pool heater. He refused ("it's not my servicing day") until my husband told him what a simple part we needed to fix it and what an easy fix it was. We told him from the get go we had a pool with droppage from trees and I needed someone to help me clear the debris and manually run the waterfall each week. Every week he avoided doing this and every week, I would have to ask him please run the waterfall. We finally parted ways because one day I asked him to do what I hired him to do and he gave me attitude and was annoyed with me. The worst was when my husband called him to tell him he was unnecessarily disrespectful to me, he lied and said I talked to him like that. I was never anything but polite and respectful to Ryan. So disappointing to see the lack of respect to a customer that had given him so many chances. read more

I'd highly recommend Ryan and Pro Care Pool. We purchased a new home and had Ryan replace the old pool pump and also install a gas heater where there was not one. He moved around his normal weekly cleaning schedule to accommodate installing our equipment so it was ready for a weekend party (normally he would do installs on the weekend since he has regularly scheduled maintenance clients during the week). Applied an Angie's List deal towards a trip when he already had diagnosed over the phone and showed up without the right part despite agreement in wiritng that the deal would be used for a separate service.
