I hired Pro Care to service my pool. Ryan was initially very responsive. Cody came out and always left the pool looking great. Ryan came out to look at the pump Cody could not get to prime. He said the pool water wasn't as clear as it should be and suggested I add DE to the cartridge filters. I did that and watched it come out the returns into the pool. I texted him about it and did not get a response. Then my filters were clogging daily which stopped the vacuum from running. I texted several times asking for help with no response. I finally responded to an email he sent with my invoice and he texted me. He wasn't sure what the solution was and apparently had no intention of coming to look at it. I got a couple more texts and then he went silent again. I texted him asking to cancel my service and he responded immediately to that one, asking the reason. I told him I was frustrated that my pool wasn't working properly and he wasn't responding or doing anything to help fix it. He apologized and said he gets a lot of texts. This started June 1, so for two and a half months my pool was running right and Ryan couldn't be bothered to help I hired a new company who actually came out and looked at my filter. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it. It took 15 minutes total. Ryan was great when he wanted my business originally and Cody is very nice and does a good job, but if something goes wrong with your pool, good luck getting any help. read more

About a month ago I called Ryan at Pro Care Pool Service. I left a message and he called back right away. I was expecting that he would come out in a day or two, but even though he was pretty much booked for the day, he said he could get me in, and he did. I explained that I thought I had a leak in one of the actuators, and he instantly diagnosed that it had a worn out O-ring. When he got here later in the day, he was correct. The following day, a holiday, he came by in the morning and not only helped me understand what was going on with my heater, he took me through and gave me a full understanding of my entire system. I am thrilled to have found Ryan and his company Pro Care Pool Service. Our 1 year old pool pump had stopped working and my pool turned into a green swamp as I was out of town for a bit. I called the local pool store for a tech referral. The guy they referred came out to fix the pump (it had a short in the wire), but he was very expensive and I had a really hard time understanding him. He told me I had to clean out the pool filters the next day, which I had never done before. I found Pro Care Pool Service on Yelp and called Ryan right away. He answered the phone and was extremely nice and he definitely wanted to help me out. I sent him pictures of our "extremely old" dinosaur pool filter, which he agreed to clean the very next day. Nick was sent out for my call and he arrived at the scheduled time and took apart the filter. Sadly, the old filter had holes in it and I was better off replacing the filter with a newer model that didn't require the messy diatomaceous earth. I called Ryan right then and he gave me a quote on a new filter, which I thought was reasonable. The next day, the new filter arrived and Ryan showed up exactly at the time he had promised. The new filter was installed and the old dinosaur was taken away. Ryan went beyond the call of duty and tested my pool water and saw it needed a lot of chlorine. He added his liquid chlorine to my pool at no charge. He then explained to me what exactly I needed to do for the next few days to get the pool water crystal clear again. I usually have another company service, repair and replace my pool equipment as needed. However, my regular company couldn't get out to replace an actuator for quite a while so I sent a request to Ron at Pro Care Pool Service. His response time to my question was immediate, arranging for him to stop by and replace the actuator was simple and he stopped by the next morning (I had initially contacted him after normal business hours) to make the repair. When Ron first got to my house, he kept social distance and both he and his assistant wore masks. He answered a few unrelated questions I had about my pool equipment, installed the new actuator and was on his way in about 20 or 30minutes. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Most impressive was his response time to a customer he had never met and the no hassle or up sell on the price or services. After trying to maintain my pool on my own, I finally realized it wasn't something that I had the time or energy to continue. The place where I bought my pool chemicals recommended Ryan and he's been handling weekly maintenance for past couple years now. Unlike a lot pool guys he picked up the phone right away so no voice mail (that often results in no call back). He texted in the morning confirming the appointment and tested later to say he was on his way. Perfect communication.
