We have an appointment for two manicure pedicure, and when we went in, they were very nice, but the cleanliness was very bad because nothing was sanitized and also when I sat down to get my hands they use the same clipper the same filer probably other people have used nothing as sanitized at all super disappointed at this place would never return think about it. 11/26/23 - time for an updated review!! Been going here for years for their pedicures and I looooove it! Their price is the most affordable I've seen. I usually choose between their 3&4, and if I'm really feeling boujee LOL I'll go with 5. The price shown is for regular it's +$10 for gel which is nice bc most places charge $15 now for gel :( I always go for Nancy, she gives the best massages and really takes her time. Honestly I feel like she gives me an extra 5-10 mins which is a lot LOL. I always recommend my friends / family to come here for pedicures. Usually I recommend Ivy for them. Went a week ago for a fill and pedicure with a friend. These are the issues I had: 1. The gel color was left super thick and lumpy in my nails. The color started chipping with a couple of days. 2. Nails started lifting the second day. My nails typically last 4-6 weeks. ** see picture for reference 3. My pedicure was done with a light only one coat of white nail polish and started fading/chipping/rubbing off within a few days. 4. My friend for a gel pedicure which started chipping after a few days as well ( this was $45 which I think is high considering nicer places don't charge that much and it didn't last. Overall they were nice but it was a complete waste of $75. I'm not confrontational so i didn't say anything and considering the bad quality the first time didn't even want to go back to have them try and fix and re experience all the issues. Really not thrilled with this place. They were short staffed and The water was scalding hot, they left me there to soak my feet for more than 30 mins. During the course of my pedicure, I was supposed to get a salt scrub on my legs and, although the lady spread the salt scrub on my legs, she just left it there, not scrubbing and hurried through my pedicure, never going through the process lightly scrubbing like I've had at other places. Stopped coming here after they opened back up, post Covid (end of spring 2020). I went in on two occasions wherein I had to wait 20 mins, after I was told they'll be with me shortly. It appears they may have lost some staff, but that doesn't excuse leaving a customer sitting in a pedi chair for 20 minutes with zero communication as to when their service will start. I had to dry off my feet and just walk out. It was so disappointing because I have been coming here for quite a while. I spent $37 including tip and etc to get JUST a gel manicure here. I don't expect a lot, but I don't expect a sloppy manicure either. I've gone to other places that have had way better service. When the lady was doing my nails she kept messing up, not a problem to me if she fixes it. She also up saled me for some moisturizing service they have but I couldn't understand what she said and just nodded... huge mistake. It added $5. But I got in my car and saw the gel peeling on the side of my nail. Then I went to work the day after and my nail chipped, and the paint came off. I called to get t fixed and they said it would be free. Another lady did my nails, it was also sloppy. The gel got onto my cuticles, a bit of my skin, and on top of that when I left even more of my nails were peeling on the side. I went back in and she told me that it was "nothing" but still fixed it. I left, but I am still not happy with my nails. There are other nail salons in Elk Grove that have better service and quality nails. Will not be coming back. Also tipped her $5 because she looked like she was waiting for something... just not a very friendly, inviting environment in my opinion. Been coming here for a while. It's a small shop in a shopping plaza off Elk Grove Blvd next to Thai Chili and Dollar Tree. They have convienent hours for walk ins and appointments. The nail techs and owner are very nice and want to make sure you're satisfied. They a large assortment of colors and their brands range from OPI, China Glaze, DND, and Gelish. I normally opt for the DND polishes so I can get a perfect match. The pedicure stations are nice massage chairs and they use disposable liners and clean tools. The manicure stations are also clean as well. There are a lot of techs and stations so the wait times are never too long. I normally get my nails done by Tony, but on the off chance he's busy, the other techs that have done my nails have done a good job. My nails are always well manicured and nicely painted. The whole nail is covered and there are no gaps. And they also last for a long time. No lifting for at least 3 weeks! Great prices too! $25 for a gel manicure and $20 for a basic pedicure. I moved here from the Bay Area and was in need of a new nail lady. I went for my birthday. They where nice and I walked right in, I got a shellac pedicure and shellac manicure originally I wanted the basic packages but they are so pushy with up selling. I ended up spending 80$ on hands and feet. The massage chair wasn't even on. The bowels they used to soak my hands in they tossed under the sink without even rinsing. I think my pedicure was great. My hands where ok I wasn't in love they peeled pretty fast for 40$ made me upset. I think my hand slated 2 weeks my toes still on and it's been3 weeks. My usual place was booked so I came here. The pictures show what I asked for and what I ended up with. I asked several times before starting if they could do an American manicure and even showed this exact picture. I wanted the same exact nail shape as well as the colors and style. I was told each time yes no problem but after the pedicure when it was time for the manicure they couldn't deliver. My lady even asked every other nail tech in the shop to help do it but none could or would. I then asked for nude, which they said they didn't have (how?), I asked for a tinted polish which they also said they didn't have, I explained because of my job I needed a very light neutral color or the American manicure I initially requested or that I would just take clear polish. Long story short this is what I got, light purple and not even close to the nail shape I wanted and I'll probably have to remove all the color before I go back to work on Monday. Overall the experience and end look are just okay. Nail art has come a very long way and this place really needs to keep up if they expect to stay in business. read more

I came here for a fill. Tony did my nails and he did such a sloppy job. I showed him a picture of the set that I wanted and he gave me a pink to white set which was not what I asked for. I was so disappointed and was almost in tears. Went to get my nails done before my trip and asked for a design and she told me she could do it. She cut me 3 times and laughed about it and put glue over it so now there's blood glued to me. This is my first time here and I am in love with the way my nails came out! I was getting my nails done at another nail spa in Elk Grove but I was never satisfied with the service. I was able to find the shade I wanted pretty easily because I usually go for nudes. Tony was knowledgable about the shape I wanted. He was also very gentle with my nails which is a major plus. At other salons, I've had nail artists shave the crap out of my cuticles to where they bleed or hurt badly. This was not the case with Tony. His technique is very unique and he takes his time. Good experiences in the past turned into a bad experience tonight.. and I'm pissed. I didn't realize that they closed at 5pm on a Sunday, so I walked in at about 4:30 asking for a nail repair that was done by them yesterday & broke and also a pedicure. They agreed to service me and quickly had me seated in a pedicure chair. The lady kept pushing me to pick a color when I told her 3x at this point that I wanted the color on my nails. She then proceed to get the nail swatches and makes me find the color. At the Same time she's trying to get me to put my feet in the tub.. after I said too her that it was way too hot. Now the tub is getting so full it can over flow she kinda guided my feet into the water herself to show me she cooled it down.. now it's stone cold. She then keeps stressing the fact that gel is $10 more.. oh okay.. I said that's what I wanted from the start. I can't stand when they stress prices and keep asking you like you don't know.. if I ask for something then that's what I want. Don't try to scare me out of it based on the price. I ended up getting a half ass massage. She scrubbed my feet for a total of 1:30 seconds both feet with the tiny little orange piece of material. Not the heavy duty scrubber that most people want when paying extra for a pedicure that involves Callus treatment. Hell im pretty sure that's the main reason people get pedicures. I can paint my own dang toes.. I want the spa treatment to make my feet like a baby.. it's not like I have bad feet too begin with.. I just want to prevent them from getting that way. Near the end of my shitty pedicure they are running around trying to close the shop and push me out. I'm sorry but I could have waited until tomorrow to get a quality pedicure. If I would of know this is the treatment I would receive I wouldn't of even wasted my effing money! I thought I found a new nail place, but never again will I be back. This is bullshit read more

I tried this place today because my go-to place is closed, but I regretted it quickly. The chairs were outdated and uncomfortable. It was really difficult to get in and out because they are jammed super close together. The music was like this weird Muzak. It was annoying. They don't have trendy or cute nail art, it's very old-lady in style. The frustrating part was, I could not communicate easily with my nail tech, I usually don't have a problem in Vietnamese nail salons as I personally prefer them and have for about ten years going from places in LA area, Riverside, and Sacramento. But today it was not okay. The lady I had today didn't speak English to a much higher degree than usual in salons. I couldn't understand her and she couldn't understand me. Usually even if people can't speak they understand what you are asking for and can signal and you figure it out. My toes look good but the mani is streaky and does not cover the whole nail all the way to the edge. Another thing that really bugged me was, I have very thin weak nails. She attacked them buffing the nail bed with a white large grit ceramic nail file that should never be used on the nail bed! It hurt like f*ck! It's really important to me that my mani and pedi match. The shade I picked was from the Perfect Match brand which I have never had a problem with. I asked her if the color I picked had a matching gel and regular nail polish that match the color exactly. She nodded and someone else said for her "yes, it match." When she did my toes it was okay, but when she started painting my fingernails during the mani the color wasn't the same pink color. It was a kind of orange and much more transparent/light. I don't think it was the same shade number. I pointed this out to her and she said "it's okay." It wasn't okay with me. I asked her to fix it and she said yes. But she didn't fix it. I told her I didn't like how different it looked and asked her to make it match, can she do more of the color so it looks as dark as my toes and covers up the spots she missed, and she said "I do 3, done" so like, she did 3 coats and was done now, my chance to have it fixed was past. Sometimes gel takes me 5 thin layers at home to get it looking right. I paid $50 for exactly what I told her I didn't want, mismatched nails/toes and nails not done well. I should just stick to doing my own nails. read more

I came in for an acrylic overlay, and while Ivy was nice, I had a quite painful experience. She buffed my nails and cuticles and ended up doing a little too much and I found that every time she applied a coat of something, it stung (imagine hand sanitizer on a paper cut). I figured that might be normal so I let it go. She then applied the acrylic onto my nail and the excess acrylic drooped over the side of my nail and adhered to my skin... it felt like my skin had been superglued to my nail. Unfortunately, rather than taking a brush with acetone- or whatever solution used to break down acrylic- she used her nail to force apart my skin from my nail! She basically jammed her own nail between my skin and the acrylic, practically ripping my skin. In addition to the pain, I have many bubbles on the nail polish and several of my nails are missing nail polish on the sides (very rushed). Also, my middle finger nail was quite shorter than the others so Ivy had placed a fake nail on top... one that did not match the width of my nail. My natural nail ended up breaking and can be seen peeking/break off from underneath the fake nail. Lastly, one thumb nail is also noticeably more square than the other. I'd like to think that had I come a little earlier in the day and not so close to closing that it would've been a less rushed job, but I don't think I'll be back any time soon to find out. read more
