Hard to get a hold of by phone and they don't do state emmissions testing even though they are listed on the state website.

The previous owner passed away in 2021 and the former manager (who worked mostly with the customers) is no longer with the company either. A completely different family owns Tx Body Works now and based on my recent experience, do not appear to take the same care with their customers that the previous leadership did. The treatment was like night and day. Extremely disappointing! We dropped the car off on 6/13/23 due to extensive damage caused by the hail storm here in North Texas on 5/19/23. When told our car would be ready for pick up on 9/08/23, we arrived to find it in the condition shown in the attached pictures. When we were told the car would be delivered to us on 9/14/23 the following week, it was not delivered at the time promised and was still not completely ready by the time we drove to Carrollton to pick it up. While the work performed on our vehicle was ok and it looks nice (I cannot fault the team actually working on the cars), it took 3 months for our hail repairs to be completed. The communication from everyone we encountered at TX Body Works left a lot to be desired, to say the least. When I called, I always got the answering service, never a person in their front office. I called and left at least 5 messages with the answering service in the 3 months they had my car and they never once returned ANY of my calls. My daughter called requesting updates on her car and she was ignored as well. The only person who ever received a return call was my husband, and even then he only received a couple of calls with updates from TBW the entire time they had our car. When I resorted to email for updates, they did not respond to that communication either. Requesting a copy of my detailed, itemized statement/invoice went ignored for weeks until I let them know I would be filing a complaint with my insurance company. When they did finally respond after multiple requests, it was very defensive with a lot of excuses, mostly for personal reasons that had nothing to do with the repair of my vehicle. I completely understand going through insurance and the claim process takes time, especially now in our post-Covid world. However, being secretive about the process, being told "one more thing is needed for insurance approval then your car will be ready", and seeing a completely different list of additional items being claimed for repairs is another. Examples: Astronomical hours of labor being charged - original estimate 23 hrs for body work vs actual 90 hrs; a $500 windshield (that they broke!) was charged to insurance for almost $1,700!! Our insurance company (a large national company) has been made aware of our concerns and the TX Attorney General and TX Department of Insurance will be notified as well. Consumer Beware!!

This was two days before Thanksgiving 2024 and after a couple weeks went by receiving no communication, I posted a review on Google still no phone calls. I reached out to them YET AGAIN after another week and instead of communicating about my vehicle she wanted to argue about the bad review I left stating they attempted to call me. I printed out my phone logs just to further prove my point that during this entire fiasco they have attempted to call me only once. I sat in their office having a face-to-face conversation with them stating that the cosmetics mean nothing to me I need my vehicle to operate mechanically and safely just as it did before I was hit. Weeks go by and still no word. Once again I call them and I was told was that they completed cosmetic work prior to even looking at the mechanical work and were still waiting to assess the mechanical portion. On what planet would a mechanical shop perform cosmetic work prior to any mechanical work?! What if the car is totaled? I mean, I'm just a mechanic too, What do I know? We have now started a brand new year. It's a week in to 2025 and the last time I have heard about my car was at the beginning of December. If you want your car fixed correctly and in a timely manner, do not bring your car here.. I wouldn't wish this place on my enemies. Lessons learned.

The number was significant and Paul said let me take a look at it myself. He then brought a small buffer and some compound out and pretty much buffed the entire spot out. It still left some chips and Paul suggested touch up pencils and gave us the name of a couple of companies that sold them. I bought a set but was VERY leery of doing it myself because it is a very nice car and I didn't want to goof it up. Called Paul to get an appointment to get it repaired by a pro. He met me at the exact time of the appointment and took the car around to the shop. Less than an hour later, you couldn't tell it had been scraped and he would NOT accept any sort of payment. He told me "touch ups were free." If, God forbid, I ever need some body work done, I will head straight to Caliber Collision and Paul. He also recognized my military service. What a sterling example he made for himself and Caliber Collision. Thank you Paul.

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP FOR REPAIR! On December…read more20,2024 I was involved in a minor accident on the Tollway. The right rear panel and rear passenger door were damaged. The car was easily driveable however a tow truck appeared and offered to take my car to the nearest collision center which was Xtreme Collision. It was not a preferred shop for State Farm Insurance but I was reassured by both the shop and State Farm that this was not unusual and the repairs could be done there. I thought it would be a 6 week project and all would be well. Week after week ,month after month I was told it was progressing. I finally went down to the shop and was shocked to see that they had completely dismantled my car, replacing parts that were not damaged in the accident. The car was leased, only three years old , low milage and high residual value. I was told that dismantling of my car was necessary in order to paint it appropriately. Soon my allotted rental car appropriation had been exhausted and I was then renting from Enterprise at my own expense. The lease on my damaged car was up at the end of April and then I was paying daily lease on the car in the shop since I had no car to return at the lease end. In late May the shop still was unable to complete the work and State Farm decided to declare the car a total loss and cut their losses with the shop. The shop would have received several thousand more if they had finished the job. The fact that they decided to accept the lesser payment for a total loss suggests that they were unable to finish the job. I believe that this shop is dishonest, deceptive and incompetent. They did way more on my car than necessary in order to gain more payment from the insurance company. In the end they had taken it apart and were too incompetent to put it back together again. I had a 4000 dollar rental from Enterprise because I was without a car for over 5 months . I had continued lease liability on the car in the shop because I could not turn it in on time. As noted above, the total time of this ordeal was 5 months, two weeks.

He thoroughly inspected the car, patiently answered all of our questions, and even offered balanced, "in‑your‑shoes" recommendations to guide our car‑buying decision. He was professional, caring, easy to work with, and went well beyond what I expected. If you're shopping for a pre‑owned vehicle and want true peace of mind, I can't recommend Xtreme Collision highly enough. In October, I ask them to check the brake system; they returned an estimate for over $3,000 to replace pump and master cylinder. At this point I went for a second opinion - everything was in good shape except the fluid needed changing. No more brake problems for $150. $3,000 vs $150 - would you go back to European Car Care? I had recently inherited my dad's C4 corvette Indy pace car and wanted the convertible top fixed, as it didn't seal and let in water, along with several cosmetic touches like adding visors. After several months they called and said it was ready to go. I should have refused immediately when they said they replaced my convertible top with one that no longer had an inner liner, so it looked tacky and not remotely the quality of the one I already had on it. Further, the "new" top still didn't seal and had visible gaps at the windows still allowing rain in. Also, it was clearly used and NOT new. As we tried to leave, my car ran out of gas before we exited the property, because they had clearly been driving it a lot. Then in the 1/4 mile drive to get on 635, the "brand new" visor literally fell off and was dangling by the exposed wire (see pic and text with timeline). They hadn't screwed it back in or lined up the screws. I called them immediately and they claimed they had too much business and asked it I could drop it off in a few weeks when things calmed down. I called close to a dozen times over the following 6 months and they never would see me much less agree to fix their shoddy work. Other than the fact that they had literally had it for 6 months, the push for me to get it back was due to my wife's birthday the next day and we planned to go for a ride. SO disappointing. Further, they tried to overcharge me by thousands. I found NEW parts at full retail prices in the official corvette book and they were all less than they were charging me for the crappy used parts they put on my car. DO NOT trust them with anything you care about.
