I went to the take 5 oil change today between 8-9am this morning, on 2/19/2026. The manager on duty…read moreand his employee (i wasnt able to catch names) greeted and did my oil change along with offering me some air filters and a coolant flush (which i declined the flush, purchased the air filters, silly me) and went about my way. Only to find out these employees damaged my oil pan bolt or oil pan and now it needs to be replaced completely, which is looking around close to another $1000. When I arrived back at the location, the manager swears that my car was already leaking and typed up some code in his computer and shoved the paper in my face, claiming that they explained this to me before handed that they shouldn't have done the oil change, but did anyway. 1. If you shouldn't do an oil change, why do one? To which the managers response was "With people like me telling them no doesnt go well" 2. If my car was leaking this much within a matter of minutes (see attached photo of oil puddle) why would you fill it up or do an oil change knowing it would be empty in less than a half hour ??? Then i ask his employee if the he heard the manager tell me the car was already leaking.. he says yes.. lol such a joke.. the manager says out his own mouth he never told me anything he told his employee to tell me SO NOONE TOLD ME ANYTHING! This manager needs to be fired. There are so many reviews for this location of similar situations happening. Something needs to be done. I don't care if I need to take it to the news. I don't care if we need to take it to small claims. Something needs to be done and I'm not going to stop. The way these oil change places in mechanics take advantage of single women thinking they dont know whats going on is sickning!.

I called the facility to see if they could fit me in to get a Texas State vehicle inspection…read more Fortunately, even though it was short notice, they said that they could fit me in. I pull up in my vehicle which happens to be a manual transmission and the attendant says "hop out. I'll take it from here.".I go inside and as I look out the window, I see that the guy looks like he's not moving anywhere even though he's in the driver seat. I go outside to find him burning the clutch and nearly grinding the gears. For a moment I just sit there (trying to be patient) and watch, and ask him if he knows what he's doing, and he stalls. I offered to jump in the car and move it wherever it needed to be moved. He says, "No I got it proceed to turn the car on it and begins back up, but then kills it again." If you're going to run a service that works on cars either you need to know how to drive those cars or allow the owner to actually move it or needs to be. I did offer to leave and take my car somewhere else when another tenant comes says, "Hey, I can move it. He jumps in, but he is burning the clutch like nobody's business". Frustrated is an understatement and how I felt. The car was a VW. Nothing exotic. I would not recommend this place if you have any type of vehicle that you care that you care about.

I called this place and explained it to the guy who answered the phone.Immediately he gets combative and asks me to bring the car in as is so he can see and rectify..I told him if I drive the car without oil it would damage the engine..After back and forth he hangs up. I understand sometimes mistakes do happen but when it does the response is what determines a good business from a not soo good one I took my car down to another oil change place to have it checked out only to find out the drain plug was not tightened .. After reviewing my dash cam footage, I saw several things that led me to write this review: 1. Techs were very non-nonchalantly chatting about taking the cars they work on test drives, even going as far as saying that they've purchased their cars because of test drives at the shop. Is this a red flag? maybe... 2. Tech that performed my alignment can clearly be heard saying he is about to full send it. 3. Tech proceeded to joy ride my vehicle, high-revs, manual shift, play with radio, etc. Would my axle have broken on that day, regardless of my visit to Auto Science? Who knows... but I certainly I wish I could go back in time and NEVER trusted this shop with my property, broken or not. The shop's response: 1. Refunded my alignment... 2. Spent countless messages back and forth / uploading videos / receipts / etc. 3. Stated a couple times they would be less inclined to help if I left a negative review 4. Offered me $250 to help towards fixing the car - I decided to stop wasting my time emailing them at that point. I guess some people would think $250 is fair, since there is no tangible evidence the test drive/alignment resulted in a broken axle... I am not one of those people. I've spent an insane amount of time and a lot of effort to get my car towed/fixed at home, this doesn't even being to cover it. My opinion: It is impossible for me to treat the axle failure as an isolated event, I didn't even get a chance to push the car before it broke. TL/DR: Tech took my car on a joy ride and my driver side CV Joint blew up around ~20miles later.
