I wanted to update my review regarding Samuel Nava, and Pro Roofing. I started a project last year, on a sunroom covered in corrugated Polycarbonate I had built years ago after first moving into our home. I made a lot of mistakes building it, and eventually, it leaked during the rainy season causing dry rot in the wood. I pulled off the old corrugated roof, replaced all the rafters, purlins, and hardware, and called Samuel to come out and provide a quote which was less than his cometitors for new roofing around the edge to prevent leaks with the new construction. He suggested replacing the torn up shingles to match the existing roof, and lay down a roll of roofing material using a torching method. After the new construction was completed we set a date and time, and he came out to finish my job. Now I will paint it, and cover the structure in double walled polycarbonate panels. He and his co-worker worked all day long finishing up with professional results, and I couldn't be happier. I had a great experience with Samuel. Clear communication and good work ethics. I called Pro Roofing because of a few loose and 2 missing tiles on the roof. Samuel gave a reasonable quote and came on time. He even brought 2 spare tiles with him based on the picture I sent. Samuel and his team did a really great job replacing our garden gazebo roof! The gazebo itself is quite tall, and the roof is difficult to access due to (a) its location next to a very steep hill, and (b) the fact that it is surrounded by garden plantings (i.e., there are not many good access points for a ladder). Samuel and his team managed to get the old roofing material down and the new roofing material up without hurting a single plant. And the roof itself is awesome. Paired with the gutter system that he and his team installed, it looks BEAUTIFUL. The gutter system itself was part of the work that Samuel and his team did to address a developing dry rot problem in the gazebo (with no prior gutter, the end pieces had been exposed to water and developed rot). They also removed rotten end beams and sistered on new pieces. Bonus: Samuel offers a wide range of both shingle and gutter colors. A different roofing company with whom we spoke only offered silver (i.e., bare metal) gutters that we would either have had to have painted ourselves, or would have had to pay extra to have done. With Samuel it was much more straight-forward and easy--this is a big pro as we're looking at re-doing the house gutters in a forest green color to match the house trim, as well. One last thing: Samuel has a rare and wonderful combination of qualities in a contractor, namely, (1) he is truly a pleasure to work with, (2) he treats people well (including his employees, which is important to us), and (3) his communication is absolutely top-notch.
