This process needed permits and with permit that means time I didn't have when selling my house. I decided to get a second opinion. That's when I called Certified Septic Service. I didn't tell them I had a previous company come out. Certified Septic came out and found the drainage issue. They brought a camera and locator to stick down into the leach lines and examine what was happening. They found that all that was need was to hydro-jet the system and replace about a 3 foot section of the inlet pipe. This process took about 30 minutes and cost way less than replacing the whole leach fields. They would have had to rip up my whole driveway to replace the leach fields. Our septic tank was not right until they came and were able to fix it. The septic tank had to be cleaned out and videoed. What was their discovery? Our septic tank had only one 24"cover . This cover was not heavy duty either. The 4" clean outs were only 3"clean outs. Nothing was right. Also discovered was that our sewage pit had collapsed! We had to drill, hand dig and put in a new sewage pit and connect it up to our septic tank. Now our septic system is complete and certified. This represents a ton of hard work to be accomplished during very hot weather. It took almost 7 days to complete our job. This was hard and very tedious work. But Felix and his crew are always up for the task. They do work very hard. I can tell you that Craftsman Sewers are honest, they communicate to you well and they do not leave you in the dark. You will know about your septic system with them. They do keep things as clean as they can. This is not easy to do. They even hand watered areas to keep the dust down for us. I got quotes from a few places and some were up to double what I was quoted with A&A. Jesse came out and replaced them for my 3 toilets. My house is a few years old and figured I should probably have him also replace them for all of my sinks which would have been 10 more. He told me it wasn't necessary since they weren't leaking and that if I decide to ever replace the faucets, then that would be the time to do it. His honesty saved me money and I appreciated it. Spoke to this lady over 3 times in the span of a week, repeated myself each time. She gave me a…read morequote the first time, I told her each time about this being our first time pumping this new tank, I told her about access to the opening, and she calls me the night BEFORE to tell me that there's gonna be an up charge because it's been over 5 years since this was pumped (it's been 4.5 since install, it's brand new). I told her she never mentioned any up-charge. She also told me that she doesn't recall giving me that quote and that she always writes everything down but that she doesn't have ANY RECORD of these conversations. She then tells me she needs pictures of the opening, with exact measurement in Feet from road to access. Again, all this the night before, so she can give me an exact price. I tell her that this is not ok, and she tells me for the 5th time, that she's been on "off" and that she doesn't recall giving me that quote. I spoke to her WHILE she was on vacation. She also keeps telling me that this tank was pumped in 2014. At this point I've corrected this about 3 times and tell her that that was with the previous owner and it's a brand new tank. So disorganized, and obviously need a better tracking system or someone with better recall. And above all some accountability!
