Cute little place in Evergreen. Very clean and staff are extremely friendly and professional. Had a gel pedi with aroma scent, and an excellent hot stone massage for just $50. Very reasonably priced in comparison to many places in the Bay. Regular pedi here is just $29 and it comes with a nice massage as well. My niece had her first gel set done and she loves it. Ombré gel set ($45). My pedi was done by Luu, a male pedicurist. First time getting my pedi done by a male and it was great. Will definitely come back again. read more

Was in town visiting my husband's family and they got my appointment here. Unfortunately it was super disappointing. I got in at my allotted time and waited at least ten minutes. Then, when my nail lady came, she started without so much as a word. It all felt very rushed. She started drilling my nails (natural nails, not acrylics) to clean up my cuticles which I hate and wasn't asked. Nor did she ask the shape or length. I had to ask multiple times for square nails and shorter length, which she finally proceeded to give me and do an atrocious job. My nails were completely uneven lengths and shapes. The files also appeared used--not sure if it was clean or new. She then cleans my nails up fine I guess but it was still kinda sloppy work--just cuticles trimmed and a quick buff. Then she got my colors I asked to see. I didn't like either so asked if they had a nice white, and she just pulled out one and started painting without letting me check. I had to ask for a different shade on the second coat, which she seems really annoyed about. Once she finished, she started shaping my nails--after they were done being painted with gel. I never had anyone do actual shaping other than just touch ups. So now my nails are freakin' short nubs, and still uneven. It was all a rushed mess. To top it off, she then proceeded to slather OIL on my arms without asking or giving me a chance to take off my wedding ring or bracelets! I literally just had oil slathered on my forearms and hands and then she walked over to get my pedicure seat ready. And waited another 15 minutes to get that started. The lady who did my pedicure was a completely different story. Though she didn't ask about length or anything, she was very nice and more attentive--made sure the water was good and took her time. She did a much better and neater job, way more careful and well done. Main complaint is the cuticle oil, again, slathered on my legs. She put lotion on after and eventually wiped them down so it wasn't a big deal, but I'm not sure what's with the oil here. Oh well. She did a good Wouldn't come back based on the manicure, but the pedicure was fine. And they fixed a nail for free that got messed up the next day. read more

Very friendly staff which is not always the case at nail salons that I've found. I went my with grandma, and they treated both of us with so much kindness and respect. They did push for me to do gel or acrylic, but understood when I said I just wanted a manicure as it's more cost effective. If you have an appointment, they will see you right away and are very nice. WARNING- FUNGAL INFECTION. Had been using this nail salon for at least 1 year. The results were pretty inconsistent - sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but never great. On my visit at beginning of October I got my nails done, 3 days later two of my gel nails started to come off (the whole nail, not just slightly). Then the next day all my nails were really painful so I took the gel off. Attached is a picture of what my nails looked like immediately afterwards and in the 2 months since. Initially I thought it was that my nails were sensitive to the gel, but have now been told that it is a serious fungal infection which requires prescription medication. I now need to attend the doctor with the possibility of having my nails removed. I'm so embarrassed and angry. I'm hoping the prescription helps to clear this. Steer clear of this place. read more

I came here out of desperation because I needed my nails done for an event the next day, and this location was so close to my house. I originally asked for simple acrylic French tips, by the girl doing my nails recommended gel to prevent damage to my natural nails. I agreed to this, but soon regretted it. My nails were supposed to be oval shaped and rounded like I asked, but she filed them down to near-sharp angles on all my nails. She did way too many layers, making the gel look very thick and fake on my fingers. The white also bled out onto the pink, making the tips look very messy. Two stars for nice workers and a clean store, but unfortunately I expected more for what I'm paying. read more

$65.00 for a gel pedicure and manicure?!?! What?! I do have to say they did an amazing job taking care of us, helping us pick out my colors, and took their time on my toes and fingernails. We had about a ten minute wait- not bad for a walk in. But damn?! $65?! Next time I pay this amount, find me in Santana Row or Palo Alto- getting a mad spa treatment. I do NOT like pushy sales people when I come in to nail salons- or anytime, really. I asked for a pedicure. The woman (I think she was the owner) asked me if I wanted a regular one or a "special" one with scents and lotions of some sort. The price difference was roughly $15. I told her I just wanted a regular one. She stood there and started telling me how I needed the more expensive one. I said "no, I want a flower design and that it was getting expensive once I add that. She still stood there and told me how dry my legs were and that I would get a better massage, they don't do those massages with the regular one. She then proceeded to tell me, you don't need a flower just get the more expensive one and I could get the flower next time. I was actually getting a little embarrassed as she wouldn't leave me alone so I relented. A lady came over and put some cheap a**box of basically bath salt into the water and then put some lotion from it on when she started my massage I noticed the lady next to me didn't get the fancy one and had the same f-ing massage time. And the woman didn't really massage anyway, basically just rubbed my legs I walked out having not really gotten what I wanted, no design and feeling very awkward. I will NEVER return. The relaxing time I was looking for turned into a stressful and uncomfortable experience, without what I was looki.g for. My advice, listen to your customers. I am generally quite loyal . . .I hope selling your powder box was worth it because I won't be back. read more

I have to say this is the WORST PLACE ever. I called in this morning to do full-set Acrylic, the lady did my nails she was non- friendly. When she gave me the color to choose, i was asking her is this the color for Acrylic, she said NO, this is for gel color, she was lying cause it last longer & refuse to use arcrylic power for some reasons. When she removed my old nails, she accidentally cut into my finger, also the way she took it out was SUPER PAINFUL. I did my nails so many times and she just keep lying to me in so many ways. I felt super uncomfortable, asked her can I just pay for the removal. The moment she heard it, she instantly doesn't want to do it anymore, she lets me out with unfinished nails. BEWARE - These people are not honest! Walked in for a quick pedicure. Looked at the price board $12 for 'pedicure' and $24 for a 'spa pedicure'. I said that I wanted just a 'regular' pedicure. I did not see any hot rocks or any other 'spa' items come out during the pedicure, I go to check out and they ring me up - $24.00 - I said 'no' I did not ask for a 'spa' pedicure - nor did I feel I received one. Then there is loud discussion in language I do not speak. And the answer - it is $24.00. I said, 'not a great way to run a business cheating people' and left. So I'm letting my review speak for my experience - if I were you, I'd be careful about the honesty of the people in this salon. read more

I come here occasionally because it is the closest place to my house. I always thought it was a decent place. They kept the place pretty clean, they are pretty friendly, and prices are mid-range ($29 for a pedi). I recently just had a pedi and I was somewhat disappointed this time. They seemed to change the seats, which was great because now my short legs can reach the technician and I don't have to stretch. It was very disappointing, however that they had the controller for the massage portion on the arm rest, but it didn't work! The technician saw me fumbling with it a few times, but didn't offer any help. The treatment was ok. She took her time with me, and didn't bother me as I read the abundant gossip magazine they had around. I felt the cleaning and cuticle removal was done very mildly. Her massage, although given enough time, was too weak to feel. Also, the bottoms of my feet get pretty rough from all the walking I do, and she didn't do a good job as they still feel pretty rough after. It was a slow Sunday afternoon, and they were too many technicians there, without too many clients. They were sitting around in the back talking loudly in Vietnamese. One technician was sitting on the pedi chair next to me crocheting. As I went to the bathroom, I felt like I was invading their space in the back. I passed by a number of technicians, crouched on the floor eating a very strong smelling meal. The bathroom looked more like a stock room; they placed a ton of supplies there. It wasn't very clean, but you can't be choosy when you have to use it. Overall experience this day: 2 stars. Given an additional star because of previous experience here. I guess I will keep it as my absolute last back-up place. Next time, maybe they can earn back their 4 star rating from me. read more

1 star because 0 is not an option I have been going to the same salon for 8 years, but its by my old house and sometimes making a 20 minute drive for a pedi is not so relaxing. So i decided to take a risk and try a new salon. I yelped and found a good salon but because it was July 4th it was closed. Because I was desperate for a pedi after a week of camping I came to Professionail without yelping. Upon walking in, it seem really small and everything was cramped to together. The nail polish selection was small and not impressive. The Spa chairs didn't work properly and I became so irritated by it, I opted to not use the massage option. They did not have a standard way of giving a pedicure. Some people were getting longer massages, other were getting hot towels which I am aware can be an upgrade but according to their menu there was only 1 pedicure option available. My massage was quick and and weak. I also felt like she didn't take the time to scrub my feet well. I also got a mani that day. She was very distracted and she would skip a nail, when cutting cuticles, filing or putting top coats. I had to tell her more than one time that she skipped a nail. Overall I was unimpressed and not a happy customer BUT it get worse. The next day I woke up with this little red bumps or bites or something on my feet and toes. They itch and still have not gone away. I am sure they don't clean their spas or tools. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN..........AND ADVISE YOU NOT TOO AS WELL. read more

It appears that I've officially come full-circle. From first-to-review back in 2007 to back in the ProfessioNAIL chairs in 2014 - I'm happy I gave this place another shot. After my favorite gel manicurist left the place I used to go to religiously in Campbell, I reluctantly gave ProfessioNAIL another chance, purely due to my dire need for a fill and its close proximity. Enter - Bi and Amy. Bi manicured my nails back to perfection and is almost as meticulous as my previous girl who vanished from my previous nail place. She is nice, on time, and makes sure you're happy with her work. I get colored gel/shellac/whatever you call it. She's great. If you want another coat, a different shape, etc, just tell her. She strives to please. Amy gives a great pedicure and massage. She's also adept at finding and mixing the perfect polish color to match your colored gel on your fingers (since they likely don't have a perfect match for your toes - unless you chose a color that comes with one). I visit them every two weeks and look forward to it. Not the cheapest place in the world, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for the quality and convenience. They also accept credit cards without giving you the evil eye or guilt-tripping you into bringing cash next time! (I hadn't realized how inconvenient it was to always have cash on hand for my previous place.) Plus, they'll give you a stamp card that gets you a free service after like a million visits. Hey - better than nothing! If you decide to try them out, tell them I sent you. Then I'll know why it's harder for me to get an appointment with my ladies Bi and Amy in the future. :) read more

This is the first place I've been to where the nail techs act extremely rude and in speak vietnamese about their customers in a disrespectful manner. AND not to mention it's WAY overpriced. A polish manicure for $15!? I think it was because there was a "massage" included but hey, they do that for FREE at pro nail art. They also squished me in the shady corner away from all the other people to do my nails. My manicure was messy too..and it hurt when she was cutting my cuticles. It doesn't hurt when they do it at other places! My girlfriends got gel nails and they all complained of bleeding! Oh and how could I forget the constant push for a design that costs 2.50 extra?? Hahaha. I don't understand why the place is so crowded. I went around noon on a thursday and the place was completely filled with material plastic moms. In desperation after other local nail salons had waiting periods of about forty-five minutes, I decided to come to Professionail. The store is really long and narrow, with one aisle of space running down the middle. The owner really fit as many money making pedi chairs and nail tables as she could. I wanted both a manicure and pedicure and got sat way, far in the back, by the bathroom for a manicure only. The gal working on me was pretty distracted -- getting up a few times to do who knows what and rushed through the manicure. She nicked me real good in the corner of my cuticle on my thumb and that thing stung like a b*tch for days. Days!! After a chair opened up (I don't even think it was cleaned all that well in between customers), they planted me in a chair in which I waited around ten minutes for someone to start on my pedicure. The pedicure was actually decent, however, the nail tech wasn't too good at dealing with my big toes which sometimes get close to getting ingrowns. My right big toe was a little sore afterwards. The paint job was good as was the massage. The cramped drying area utilizes some really old machines with peeling pleather. This tiny area behind the counter is also not very clean. Thing to note is that they do not clean their tools between customers and have used damp or wet scrubs to slough my feet. If you look at the condition of the store, e.g. along the baseboards or on the table tops, it's super dusty and dirty. Bottom line is, given the quality of the workmanship, some really bad nail techs, and unsanitary conditions, I'd avoid this place. It appears to be quite popular with the Real Housewives of Silicon Valley and local students, but honestly, you can pay approximately the same or less at better nails salons and get better work. They act like it's such a classy, clean and professional place. The keyword being, "ACT". It's all a facade. At first glance, it looks nice. However, dig down deeper...and there is a lack of skill, rushed service, and steep prices. My nails were crooked, sharp on the corners due to improper filing, and my nails chipped within the first day. My toes...I asked for french pedicure with a thin white strip. The lady made them very thick. I asked her to make it thinner, she barely made it thinner and continued doing it her way. After she was done, she gave a fake smile..and asked, "you like?" So I came back to update my review. Previously I only gave 4 stars because I'm pretty miffed by how pricey the place is - but I went in today for a spa manicure, and I LOVED how perfect my nails turned out as well as how nice the lady who did my nails was. Yeah, at Darling Nail you can get a manipedi fo $23 and it's already $15 just for manicure here, but the quality and service is a thousand times better. All the workers are very accommodating, and the woman who did my nails, Kim, was very nice and conversational. This nail salon is good in so many ways & luckily it's a 10 minute walk from my house. Professionail is the kind of nail salon that is rooted in customer service. You will always be greeted, given magazines & pillows (without asking) and be treated to a relaxing experience (except when the phone chimes!). What I love about this place is the quality of service (the women always massage me for longer if I'm dosing off...they like when you feel good), the warm towels they wrap your legs with, the fact that they don't have a high turnover rate (I've seen alot of the same faces for years). I love that they have a ton of regular clients & they all seem to know each other, maybe most are referrals or live in the surrounding community. Overall, Professionail is very accommodating & thoughtful towards their clients. You can expect a courtesy call if the nail tech is running far behind her appointment & I've even heard of some ladies coming in to work as early as 7am to work on a clients set before heading off to vacation! I do think their prices are high, however, it's worth it to me when the work is beautiful, they take their time & the service is good. **Also! This is not the nail salon for hip, trendy (crackle finish, 3D...) type of girls because they don't offer those services. Their clientele consists of retirees, homemakers, and professionals. Professionail doesn't have a wide variety of colors either & that is my only gripe, but with an extensive collection of polishes of my own, I don't mind at all. Although it can be a little pricy and busy at times, I can rely on a good manicure & pedicure every time I go here! The interior looks luxurious and bright. I don't have a specific person I go to, to get my nails done, but no matter who I go to, they're great. I don't speak Vietnamese and sometimes it makes me a little nervous about going to a Vietnamese nail salon because I fear miscommunication, but you DON'T have to worry here!
