I don't usually write bad reviews... but this was the worst experience i've ever had at a nail salon. Although we made an appointment we had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. I requested a soak off and the manager Jimmy changed the nail bit about 10 times harshly drilling the gel off before he stuck my hands in a tiny bowl. He tried to pry the polish off with an old nail tip so i had to remind him again that i wanted a SOAK OFF. The bowl made my hands cramp up since my fingers were shoved so i asked if i could get a bigger bowl. The lady who came after said oh and then continued to drill the gel off, DESPITE asking at least 5 times for a SOAK OFF. After nicking my skin and causing me to say "ouch" she told me "you're sensitive" despite the redness clearly shown in my nails. Jimmy's station still had the old nail clippings from the previous client which was quite gross and honestly unexceptable. When "finished" there is still noticeable gel on the nails. After confronting they claimed it was because I "didn't want to put my hands in the acetone" despite me just asking for a bigger bowl instead. Went home with sore, sensitive nails, with gel still attached and some tears shed. Bummer.

First, Hana did a fantastic pedicure for me. Next: I don't like leaving bad reviews but the rest of my service was the worst experience I've had in a nail salon in 15 years. My mom and I waited 45 minutes to be seen after being told they had time, they sat us in the pedicure chairs with our feet soaking in cold water for 45 minutes instead of saying 'can you come back at ___ time?' I let them know I didn't have time left so I only wanted them to remove my gelX on my hands and I just wanted a clear clean polish that was 1/4in for my job. My sister had to tell someone 4 times to stop removing her calluses because her feet were RAW, my mom said she didn't want a manicure and they told her 'no you'll get gel today' and she had to repeat herself multiple times. I had to tell them 4 times I just wanted my old nails removed and they insisted on putting builder gel OVER my old nails. 2 people worked on my hands and both of them filed my nail so close to the skin I started bleeding. The first person working on my nails kept forgetting to do my other fingers, I had to tell him 3 times 'you didn't finish my hand' he was either forgetting to remove the old polish, the extension, or buffing one, or clipping another one. They wouldn't listen and I was so frustrated, physically bleeding, and being talked over the entire time. When i started bleeding I started crying and the lady wouldn't even let me wipe my tears with a tissue. She kept telling me to put my hand in the gel warmer. The end result is horrendous. Every nail is a different shape and size, looks nothing like what I asked for, there's dust all over the top coat, and you can see the old set under the work they did. I am so heavily disappointed with this place, my mom wanted to treat me to get my nails done for my birthday and I haven't been home (here) in 4 years and now I have to find someone else to fix this mess. The salon is also wildly unsanitary. The pedicure tubs had grime on them, the tools they were using were old, and there was a stench of sewage and trash permeating the salon.

I do NOT recommend this place. After giving them a second chance, I realized that this place is far from being professional . I requested an ombré natural acrylic set . I arrived at 11:30 am ,When the eldest lady at the shop in the entrance started my nails she first placed them crooked , when she clipped the tip of the nail two of them broke from the sides . Instead of replacing the nails she tried to "fix" them . She realized she had another lady waiting and handed me over to the another girl to finish the work. To make the story shorter , that lady then made them thick and didn't replaced the nails . I had to return back to work . They had taken 1.5 hr and since they didn't finish. I left with my nails half way done. I returned after work for them to finish ( 30 min more ) since they had charge me the 70 dollars. And just to conclude they didn't know how to do ombré and left them far from looking what I asked for . One nail broke less than two weeks after ...I tried to give them a second chance bc things happen and they are close to my work and home .. but NEVER again ! Save yourself the money and an unhappy moment.

I'm very disappointed with how my nails turned out. They were uneven, some were thicker than others, and the shape was inconsistent. The design looked nothing like the reference photo I showed it was supposed to be clean and elegant, but what I got looked messy and rushed. The polish was poorly applied, with streaks and smudges, and some nails weren't even fully covered. It honestly felt like no real effort or skill was put into it, as if someone was just practicing on my hands. What made it worse was being asked for a tip after such a low-quality job. I paid good money expecting professional results, but I walked out feeling scammed. Completely not worth it

It had only been 1 day and a chip off my thumb

I got dip nail & cat eye gel polish on top. I purposefully splurge on dip gel because I find that regular gel chips towards the end. I spent $99 + $20 tip and not even 24 hours later my thumb has a huge chip on it. Four days later now my index also has a chip. I'm pretty disappointed seeing I spent a decent amount of money and again I get dip so it can last until my next appointment. The salon itself is really nice, clean, and friendly and I did have a nice time there. However, I just wanted a basic pedicure and when I was given the menu on pedicures and told them I just wanted the basic $29 one, they were urging me to get the next one up for $39 which I wasn't particularly happy about since I just had clearly stated I just want the most basic one. I ended up getting the $39 anyways which I don't necessarily regret because it was a nice pedicure but I'm not trying to be hassled into spending more money when I'm trying to relax... I've been getting a ton of compliments on my nails and again the salon was pretty nice but I'm disappointed in the durability especially after only one day.

My husband and I came across this place right after we left the gym and decided to give it a try! We were walk ins and they were able to see us pretty quickly for mani pedis It was my husbands first time and they were great! Jimmy was very personable and friendly! Nancy did both of our manicures and was very sweet as well. We will be coming back :)

First time here and not my last. This place is located near my job. I had a last minute invite to a Dodgers game (My favorite team) so I was in dire need to represent as I always do. Nancy is the professional whom took care of my needs and was very gentle and friendly. Great atmosphere, the place is clean and welcoming. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Nancy, you may get new clients from this.

What made me come try this nail place, was my daughter worked in the little strip mall and when I would pick her up I'd see a cleaning crew in the mail shop every night. I was like they keep their place nice and clean I'll have to give them a try. My first time in greeted so nicely by everyone. This is where I met Nancy, she's warm, friendly, and funny! Great conversationalist and an even better nail tech. Her recommendations are always on point and I am complimented on my beautiful nails all the time. Nancy is my go to! This place is amazing I'm so glad they are open again. The whole staff are friendly & they do an amazing job. Tammy is my girl. As I'm reading the reviews I just can't believe people. Things happen and systems fail at times. Give them a break!! I work in the medical field & we have had our system go down where appts were doubled. They are trying a new system it can't always be perfect especially when it's all new to them. I just laugh at the reviews with so much happening in this world one mix up or two isn't a big deal. Service was fine. Quality was terrible. This was my second visit to this nail salon. The first time wasn't good either. Nail polish started coming off before I even got home. I gave this place a second chance after going with a friend. I paid $85 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Polish on one of my big toes starting coming off when I got home. It's been 2 days and polish on 4/5 of my left hand nails started peeling away. $85 wasted on this. Not going back. Overpriced for the quality received. read more

New to the area so I thought I would try this nail salon Came here on a Saturday they were able to accommodate me right away which was nice . Wanted to have my nails and toes done and relax while getting pampered. Unfortunately that was not the case ! The staff was so loud and never stopped talking amongst themselves not even in quiet voices but yelling across the room . Awful experience. First the man put me in a pedi bowl that over flowed onto my shoes because he walked away and forgot he turned it on! The water was cold too! Waited about 15 min in the cold water and decided to leave. They do not use liners in their tubs yuk! read more

I love this place! I've gone about 7 times now by myself or with friends and I'm never disappointed. They always fit me in within a timely matter with walk-ins and do my nails super nicely. The whole staff is super polite and fun. Every time I go there I usually have a new person do my nails and they all do them wonderfully. I usually am getting a pedi and then a new set or fill of longer acrylic nails, no problems or complaints. And the prices are pretty regular. The last time I went Jimmy did my nails and paid a super amount of attention to them and made them extra nice. Love this place! My wife came home very upset on Friday. She had a 12:30 appointment that I booked for her. Apparently, they continued to take white walk-in clients and ignored my wife who happens to be Latina. After about 40 minutes she decided to just walk out. My wife feels that this place racially profiles. We live in the wealthiest part of Simi, do I need to send my wife to this place in our $75k BMW for her to get the service she deserves? I reached out to the salon owner by phone and email and the owner has not reached back out. I provide tens of millions of dollars in financing for local businesses all throughout Los Angeles and Ventura County. Its disappointing that this is the treatment my wife receives. read more

I am going to first off, hands down this is best nail salon I have been to since moving to California! The attention to detail and the absolute customer service is beyond. You get exactly what you pay for and even more. I had gotten my nails done a few weeks ago when I took an emergency trip to New Jersey and I needed a refill. I really wish I had a before picture to show, but Jimmy made my nails EXACTLY how I always wanted them. My pedicure was absolute heaven. I mean down to the filing was perfect. She gave me two ten minute massages, I mean what can a girl ask for? Jimmy was so attentive and gave me such an amazing massage. He knew right away I use my hands ALOT and the massage he gave me I felt the blood flowing up my arm! I live about 27 minutes away and it is very much worth the drive. Terrible customer service. I walk in, ask how long the wait is because it looked busy. They say oh no we can get you in right now, pick a color. They then give me a chair. I sit and soak my feet, and proceed to wait 20+ minutes without another word. Meanwhile 3-4 employees finished with other customers, then proceeded to go help other people. At one point 3 people were helping the same people- a little ridiculous if you ask me. Just be honest if there is a wait- I wouldn't have wasted my time sitting there for nothing. So disappointed as the quality is generally decent - but this not the first time I've experienced this her. Not to mention that it was at 4p on a Tuesday- not like it was a busy weekend day. Do not recommend!!! read more

Staff is persistent that the job they've done is the best it can get... I've had a much better job done at other places for cheaper, this place is a rip-off, they quoted me $35, ended up charging $40, and when I gave them a $50 bill they asked to keep the $10 for a tip, which I wasn't planning on giving but they start screaming and asking for tips.... Ridiculous! Let a customer CHOOSE if they want to tip you for your lame service, and if not then it's probably because we hated our experience! A $50 pedi and still cracked heels! Also, consumers beware! The business owner LIES in their response to the bad reviews! seriously! not the way to do business, NO TIP was never offered it was demanded LOUDLY and Obnoxiously by your staff! read more

This was my first time ever going to this salon. I read some Google reviews that raved about them so I figured I would give it a shot since I haven't had my nails done since COVID started. Let me tell you that was a big mistake. I went in with my daughter to have a manicure and pedicure done. I decided at the last minute I wanted a full set back on which they were very accommodating about. Other than that it was all a joke! My $35 pedicure that I read was supposed to give me callus removal and a 5 minute massage. That didn't happen! They didn't even scrub my feet with the scraper long enough to get anything off and they didn't even give me a massage...they rubbed lotion on my legs and that was it. My feet weren't touched at all!! I've NEVER had that poor of a pedicure in my life. My nails aren't what I asked for. First off the acrylic is not correct or shaped how I like them and no matter how many times i said something it never got fixed. One of my nails is completely crooked and the tops are extremely flat. I had a special request that they struggled to do (which can be expected given I wanted the evil queens apple on my nail). Besides them not being able to do that which I'm ok with...they kept screwing up on my "ombre" and having to redo it. Not only that but they didn't even paint my nails completely. My daughters nails turned out nice. She just had a spider web on her toe done and then wanted a pumpkin on her nails. The only thing I'm going to complain about with her nails is that she also got a pedicure and was done in 5 minutes. I was completely shocked especially for the price I was paying! Needless to say I'm NEVER going back there again and would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! read more

Very chaotic salon. No spa setting here, which to me means relaxing. Phones ringing and employees yelling across the room to each other. I found no zen here. I also pay attention to Cleanliness ~ it does not live here at this salon. The footrest on my spa chair was falling apart so she just covered it with a towel. No liners in foot bath. I did not see her tools come out of alcohol and when I asked she told me "it's okay honey, they are clean." ‍ My technician was so distracted she didn't even give me a proper massage that I paid extra for. Sorry, I won't be going back. read more

So I am a huge Yelp reviewer and read Yelp everywhere I go, I didn't before this place because we were recommended by a friend to come here. Came on a weekend and they are so busy. They got us in chairs in about 10 minutes, but we soaked in the water for 15/20. We almost left to another place. They have covid sanitation plans all over but do not sanitize any of the tools. Clipped my toes too short, cut my friend. Was drying and one of the owners asked for me to get up so they can use the chair and they didn't have anyone else waiting at all for it. We will see if we lose a toe in the next week or so. Very unhappy. The only plus was that my nail tech was very nice and talkative. Think her name was Tracy? read more

And it gets worse- the nails looked good- but both girls lost nails already. The nails started popping off after 24 hours. Day 5 my niece lost 5 (nails - $80 and didnt even last a week). Her friend lost 3 I mean they popped off- not broke. They look like press on nails. I have never lost a nail within 2 weeks when you get a full set from scratch. read more

AWESOME!! I LOVE THIS SALON! I cannot say enough great things about this place. I have had a love/hate relationship with my acrylic nails for years. They are never natural looking and thick so I can't scratch. Professio Nails & Spa has changed all that for me! Owner Jimmy suggested Dip Nails and I am now a customer for life! They removed the old acrylic from my nails so I just have my natural nails, then use this new powder dip coating that comes in BEAUTIFUL COLORS to harden my nails, keep them protected and strong. The result is beautiful, polished, natural looking nails. I have received so many compliments the last few days on my nails and how pretty the color is and asking how I naturally grew them so long and strong. I have been sharing the secret with as many people as I can! Tammy deserves a 5 star yelp review for her excellent nail work. It is nice to be around people who are actually passionate about what they do. The staff makes you feel like you are family we were joking around and laughing the whole time. They got me in last minute for a dip nail set and didn't pressure me into any add ons or services. I wish I could give less than one star. I show up at 9:05 for a fill and a pedicure. there's two people in the shop and a five-year-old is in front of me for a pedicure so they take the five-year-old in for her pedicure and the owner has me sit down at a station, has me sign in and then makes a phone call to some other employees. The owner gets off the phone and asked me to go around shopping and come back in 20 minutes your hours state you're open at 9 o'clock it's no surprise we have no good nail shops in Simi Valley. this one is definitely off my list. how rude!! read more

I've been going to ProfessioNail for 11 years. Lisa is my favorite!!! (but Tami, Mary and Tina are a VERY close second!!) They do try the "upsell" everytime but they're in business to make money so it never offends me. Sometimes I go the next pedicure level up...sometimes not...but once I say "No Thanks" or "Not Today" they don't hound me. Very clean too!! read more
