I was really disappointed with my experience at Professionnails. I came in for a dip manicure and pedicure, and while they had two people working on me at the same time, the quality of the service did not match the speed. Their dip powder color selection was very limited, and during the service I was actually cut. I also had to repeatedly ask them to fix my nails because there were visible bubbles on almost every nail. Eventually I just gave up because it kept happening. After I left, I noticed several spots where the polish was missing entirely, and by the very next day my nails had already started chipping. My fingers were also sore and hurting afterward. Overall, the experience felt rushed and careless, and unfortunately I would not return. read more

Ive been here twice. This last visit, they were pretty rough with me. The lady cut my nails without asking if I wanted them cut down, basically sanded my skin while filing each toe nail, cut too deep while removing the dead skin where it hurt and is still feeling raw the next day. The water was STEAMING. I mean visibly steaming and I had to ask multiple times to turn it down, and she burned my left foot with the hot stone. The experience was good although there was some miscommunication regarding the color I wanted for my dip powder. They thought I knew it was the Gel color book and not for dip. But I said I was getting dip so they should have given me the colors for dip instead of thinking I was giving them the color number by not looking at any colors, I'm new! I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at ProfessioNails in the southwest side of Las Vegas, at Blue Diamond and Buffalo. I called at 4:00 PM on a Sunday for a very last-minute gel pedicure appointment and they immediately squeezed me in for a 4:30 slot just before closing. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and courteous, and I was seated right away. The place is bright, crisp and clean. The technician who did my gel pedicure, whose name I unfortunately missed, was phenomenal. She took extra time on a great massage and really listened to all my requests. Took my daughter and her friend to get their nails done. Had an appointment for the 3 of us at 10 and didn't get seen until 10:45. Her friend was supposed to get a manicure with a regular polish (not gel). Several people asked what services we were getting that day. Later, another woman came up to confirm with me again and asked if she was getting gel or regular polish. I said "regular polish." We asked if she could have a couple stars added as a design. She said she didn't do "designs" (???) but offered polka dots. Reluctantly, we said yes. I walked over to the other side to get my pedicure done. After I was done I looked at her nails. What a joke. These were so sloppily done that it should be an embarrassment. If we'd have had more time, I'd have made them redo them- but the 45 minute delay in time put us on a time crunch. Showed her what i wanted and then she said she had to change it a bit because my nails are too short. That was fine. When I started coming here, my fingernails had been so badly ground at the base that they were growing up at a very noticeable angle. Annie has dedicated her skills and attention to detail to repairing the damage done by other nail salons. I've been seeing Annie for the past 5+ years. She has been so patient with trying different techniques since I am rough on my nails as an elementary teacher. I love that she has combined clear dipping powder to strengthen my nails without them being too thick or using acrylic (bad experiences and memories attached to acrylic for me) with my favourite cat eye gel polish. She's also gentle on my feet and toes and is mindful of the multiple surgeries I've had when doing my pedicures. read more

Secondly, although I liked the pedicure, they charged me extra $5 for scrubbing my feet and another $5 for cleaning my finger nail cuticles. I ended up paying over $100 for the service I came in for. I really wanted this place to be better, because it is so close to my house. The techs are nice too, but the quality of their work is lacking. I scheduled a "deluxe pedicure" on Class Pass. It was an additional $20 for gel. I think that's too much for gel, but I know that some place charge this amount extra. So, that part is fine. The tech was very nice, not overly friendly but just the right amount of personable and willingness to chat back. She shaped my toenails okay, and the polish looks good. The cuticle care wasn't terrible, but she missed more than I think is passable. She also gave me a tiny knick in my cuticle but didn't even mention it. I could feel it and see the spot of fresh blood, so I feel like she should've apologized. The mask and scrub felt nice. My pedicure looks good, but the bottom of my feet feel rougher than when I walked in their doors. I ended up adding a gel manicure. A different tech came to the pedicure chair and started shaping an buffing my nails. I was not impressed with the shaping at all. I asked for the nails file and fixed it a little more myself. Then she finished my nails at her station. I was the last person in the shop before they closed. I didn't realize until I got in my car that my nails suck lol. Only one or two of my ten fingernails don't have a texture imperfection in the polish. There is pitting, bubbles, and they feel rough on the top edges. Also, 2 days later my cuticles are peeling from getting over-trimmed. I left a negative review using the link the business included with my text receipt. I did want someone to fix it. However, I ended up deciding not to call or go back. I don't have time to get another manicure. It's also awkward to have to deal with this in person, and I just don't want to do it. read more

***Nail Infection*** My usual nail girl moved away so I had to find a new salon. I was initially excited about this salon due to its convenience in location and hours of operation. However, that quickly changed after my second appointment there. While I was getting a gel manicure, the lady was rough with the way she filed my nail down and cut my cuticles. I remember thinking it was a little painful. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now thinking back I remember the nail file looking old and worn out as if it had been reused many times. The work station was dirty with an old rag and cuticles/nail clipping debris from previous customers. A short time after getting my nails done there, the corners of my nails (on 4 of my fingers - middle and ring fingers on both hands) became tender, inflamed, and red. At first I thought maybe it was because of how rough the lady was. Then over the course of the next few days/weeks, my nails went from tender to extremely sensitive and painful, and pus started coming out. I went to my dermatologist and she prescribed me steroid gel to treat paronychia - bacterial infection of the nails. I have been using the gel for almost 3 weeks now with no resolve. I am due for a follow up later this month - unsure if it is a really bad bacterial infection or something else like fungus (which I've heard is much much harder to get rid of). This has never happened to me before and I've gotten my nails done, consistently, for years. And now I'm so traumatized from this experience that I don't think I'll ever go to another salon again. You can't control whether the staff takes proper steps to ensure hygiene and I just feel it isn't worth the risk anymore. I have been dealing with this infection going on 2 months now and I just really wish I hadn't gone here. read more

I got a pedicure and gel manicure before an international trip. All was good until I went home and my toe started hurting. Whoever did my pedicure cut too deep and it made the whole toe hurt. It started to swell and when I stepped down too hard puss came out. The whole toe was infected. I read the reviews and saw some questionable reviews but went anyways because of the location and I was as on a time crunch. When I walked in, it was busy. I figured it was rare that someone had a bad reaction and I would be fine. It was a great service and they were super sweet. I just think that whoever worked on me did a little too much. Whoever it was cut too much skin around my big toe and infected it. I spent my entire trip in pain. The trip was planned around waking and exploring. After a week and a half it's finally feeling better. After many Epsom salt baths and anti bacterial wipes. It feels okay to walk on my foot again. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews and been weary about the damage they could cause. Please be mindful of where you get work done. Always review where you go. read more

They did a great job, my nails were done on Monday and the wedding was Saturday. Nails and toes lasted through the weekend. Super mixed review. This was my first time getting my nails done since having my baby. I'm 8 months postpartum dealing with postpartum depression. My husband has kept begging me to go and he would watch our daughter so I could have me time. I finally go and go here since it's so close to the house. I don't know if it was because I was a walk in or they were just busy but I did not have a good experience. Especially being postpartum I'm so upset there couldn't even get my nails done without a problem. I had no ones names. But the woman who did my pedi was nice. She talked to me. Was pleasant. Accidentally cut me but that's okay. She apologized. She massaged my legs for a long time. But my polish already chipped whiles I was there. She did not give me time for my toes to dry before putting my flip flops on, toe separators on and sending me to go get my gel mani. My gel mani is fine. It looks great. She did a decent job. She did not talk to me. She made rude remarks about my nail from smoking ( I don't smoke anymore but it was a little tinted from when I did before pregnancy). Then made a snide remark at the end that I had a " new nail" For 70 dollars I would think you could at least be somewhat pleasant even if it were fake. And at least let me have time for my polish to dry because you're busy. I understand I was a walk in but as noted on the businesses page - walk ins are welcome. I tipped both girls very well despite what happened and my experience. I know we all need to work and people count on tips. Once I got in the car and noticed it was chipped I just broke down. I didn't want to leave my house or baby. I finally was trying to do something for myself and to make me feel like me again and just broke down. So I didn't think it was worth it to go back in especially when the whole environment made me feel like I was being spoken about in a different language. Do I want to give it less than 3 stars? Yes. Went here on the recommendation of a friend. It's close to our new home so while we have a regular place we thought it would be cool to check out some local places in the new neighborhood. We were told 30 minute wait - we didn't have appointments so this seemed reasonable. We were sat in about 20 which seemed great, but then left to sit in the chair with water for over an hour. Luckily the front desk agent stopped by twice to warm the water back up because it had gotten cold (yes, that's how long it took). We were excited to try this jelly pedicure. Wasn't told of available scents, they just opened and put Lavender in Tony's. When I saw this they had already started to open Lavender for me but I stopped them. Lavender makes me nauseous. When I say I'll just get a regular pedicure because I can't handle lavender they tell us other scents available. I chose peppermint. Started off nice - the jelly was a weird sensation but also pretty cool. Tony's lavender was grossing me out a little, but as she started to rub mine on my legs the peppermint overtook the lavender. All was good until it was time to use the scrubber to take off dead skin. The lady doing me was disinterested in her work, looking around everywhere except at my feet, and instead of scrubbing the bottom and heel of my foot started scrubbing the side of my toe. Not paying attention she scrubbed and scrubbed until I almost screamed and kicked her - looking down to see she had scrubbed the side of my toe til I was bleeding. The rest of the pedicure was uncomfortable as the peppermint lotions, regular massage oil, and even the water irritated the cuts. The manicure was mediocre at best. They use machine grinders on your nails (two guys here - there was no gel or prior fake nails attached to require this!) and it makes your nails look funky. Instead of a beautiful buff and smooth shine - it's wavy and looks like we did a bad job putting on clear polish. On top of this, before leaving we had to listen to another lady yelling about multiple people without appointments being serviced out of order. She also waited over an hour just sitting in water, had places to go, and was frustrated that there was no organization as to who was next to be served. We experienced this, too, so I'd say this is likely a regular issue. The lady taking care of Tony was chatty and super nice. Sweet as anything. His pedicure seemed to go better than mine, but he's also really disappointed in the hands. Mine barely spoke and was almost robotic in her actions, clearly not paying attention to cause this damage to my foot. The jelly thing is nice - but not at the expense of a good job.
