Wonderful, quick, honest, fair. I contacted Progress Appliance Repair through Yelp and they were able to schedule Dmitry to come see my refrigerator in a few hours. The service fee to asses the repair was communicated from the beginning and it was very fair. Dmitry was super honest and clear about the situation. I understand that home refrigerators are very very different than RV refrigerators but he was still willing and able to give me his professional opinion which is significantly quicker than trying to get an RV service appointment. His assessment was 100% correct. He was very forthcoming that if he began diagnostic testing it would likely void the warranty. He was patient with my questions. He saw that the situation was very challenging for me and he was really kind enough to give me a few ideas for solutions to help me survive without a cold fridge, he even went out of his way to show me an option online. I have needed to have appliances, repaired several times recently and have used Progress each time and they are terrific. The latest time it was my dryer. Yulianna, who answered the phone, is very friendly and professional and so is David in the office. They offered to send a technician the same day but I scheduled one for the next day. Ross, the technician who has done the repairs each time, is friendly, professional, shows up on time and does great work. Did my laundry last Sunday and everything was fine. Next day did another load and thought everything was fine, until I checked my clothes in the dryer and it was still wet and my dryer was not even hot. Great, I'm stuck with a bunch of wet clothes. I started a fire in my oven on thanksgiving and needed to have it checked out: even though I'd scrubbed it clean, when I tried to use my oven the house was immediately smoky and smelled terrible. Dimitri came out (the day after I requested a quote which was amazing) and not only cleaned it further, he fixed the burner, and tested it. Now I can use my oven again. I was having issues with the ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator.. there was some water seeping into the crisper and some seepage on the floor.. He immediately knew what the problem was (apparently it's quite common) and gave me a very reasonable quote to fix the ice maker and the leakage issue.. and he did! Wow!! I am speachless!! I am totally amazed at the workmanship, professionalism and proficiency of this 5 star business!! I called Monday evening and they sent a wonderful tech named Ross the next morning. He arrived right on time and called when he was outside my door. My freezer was frozen shut and he advised he would need to unplug my fridge and let thaw overnight. When I expressed my concern that my 2 babies need their fresh milk without hesitation he advised he would stop back after his work day was done at 7pm and fix my fridge so my babies would have their fresh milk. Sure enough, precisely at 7pm Ross called to advise he was at my front door. With a smile on his face he rolled up his sleeves and three hours later fixed my fridge. That was a very long work day for him. I won't go anywhere else for repairs. This 5 star company really cares about their customers and treats them like family. I texted out a Yelp request past MIDNIGHT on a Friday night - looking for help because my washing machine had gone haywire and after getting back from a trip I had tons of dirty laundry laying around. Even though it was midnight on a Friday night I got an answer INSTANTLY from this company! and it was not a machine or a bot- it was a human. True to his word and estimate Ross the technician came out Saturday to immediately fix the problem. Since he was there, I also handed him some other problems my other appliances were having (broken ice maker on my fridge, dryer door won't shut tightly) and he ended up handling everything and came back to my house with all the parts and did all the labor in a timely manner, a smile and I just had the best time with what started as a huge problem. Our old GE refrigerator's door suddenly came off hinge, and the refrigeration unit stopped working, due to having to overcompensate while the door wouldn't shut close. After some research, I found this company to have excellent ratings, while being an underdog. I wrote them here, along with a few others, to ask for a quote. But, they were the only ones who not only replied, but did so by a phone call within 10 minutes of my message. After making arrangements with Yulianna, a kind and likable sounding lady, that same night Ross came over. Ross spent close to 150 minutes trying to figuer out how to fix the old fridge. He temporarily got it going, to keep it cold enough until the the parts would arrive, so he could come back and finish the job. For his time and effort, I gladly paid him $100 through Zelle, which was supposed to count towards the invoice. When the parts had arrived about 8 days later (delayed due to Labor Day Weekend), he contacted me himself to say that he had the parts, and could come over as early as 30 minutes. We agreed to do that. He arrived on time, once again, and quietly finished the job, after laboring over it quite a bit. And now, the old refrigerator feels as good as new, for a fair price in which the $100 was already included. I called Progress Appliance Sunday and was able to schedule Dmitry for Monday morning, far within 24 hours of my initial contact with Progress Appliance. When I did not reply to his text as I missed it, I so appreciated that he choose to call to ensure I knew to expect his arrival in 30 minutes.
