I ate here on my first full day in the Tri Cities. I started outside, but had to run inside when meat bees got too interested in my sandwich. I had a side caesar salad with one of their specialty sandwiches with pesto and brie--I think. It wasn't a very memorable sandwich. It was just too sweet and blah, and needed acidity desperately. Dined here about 5 times. Peak and off hours, lunch and dinner. Every time it's consistently great service and food. Limited menu done exceptionally well. The burgers are juicy and perfectly done. The last visit 3 of us ordered the balsamic ribeye and all 3 were identical. Don't forget the drink menu. Huckleberry mule is hard to set down. I'm usually picky with burger places since I can make homemade burgers at restaurant quality, but this place surpasses my cooking abilities! I was impressed with my meal. Happy hour deals are great here, add long as you get there before 6:30 during the week. The chips and guacamole are a bit overpriced and decent, but the nachos are the appetizer to get-definitely the best attitude for your money. I got the Proof Burger for my entree with truffle fries. As I said above, the burger was great. The truffle fries were also good-not to oily, and not to much truffle taste, just enough. Another plus about this place is that it has a nice view of the surrounding area. I plan on coming back when I am back in town. read more

Came in for happy hour yesterday and we were absolutely disappointed. I have been in the restaurant industry for about 10 years now, I have managed restaurants in the Seattle area and the lackluster response of care from the manager is beyond me. My boyfriend and I asked the server what the "rotating specialty cocktail" on the happy hour was. He said it was the apple cider mule and that there's another one and went to ask the bartender. He came back saying there was a whiskey Negroni cocktail and we decided to go with that option. As well as ordering the HH wings and HH nachos. At the end we didn't look at the bill and assumed there would be no issues and handed our server our card. We get our bill back and realize $66 sounded ridiculous. We got 2 $7 cocktails, $9 HH wings and $10 Smokey pork nachos and 1 $5.50 draft beer. So we looked and saw we were charged $30 for our two cocktails. And charged $13 for the wings and $12.50 for the nachos. We were confused because we ordered using the QR code we were given for the happy hour menu. At this point we haven't noticed the food prices yet just the drinks, so we asked our server to void the payment and make the check right. We were basically told no because he "already swiped the card", like I've said I've been in the industry a long time- you can void the payment. So instead he offered us two more cocktails and we said we didn't want drinks we wanted the bill fixed. He talked with the manager and they voided the payment and did 50% for the drinks (which technically still isn't correct but we didn't care about it we were just annoyed at this point). We got the new bill, paid and left. After leaving we realized the food prices we were charged were wrong. Instead of $9 for wings it was $13 and instead of $10 for nachos it was $12.50. Very deceiving when we expected to pay a certain amount because that was on the menu and got charged quite a bit more than expected. So I called to speak with a manager, a lady answered, never gave me her name and her lack of care towards the situation was just ridiculous. We explained what happened and we didn't want anything but to let her know our experience and all she said was "I'm sorry. Thanks for letting me know, we changed our happy hour prices months ago but I guess they never updated the menu prices. I'll tell the owners" and that was it! Very blunt and didn't try to even offer ways of making this right. The price difference is pretty significant and I feel as though the manager could have done more to make the situation right and make us want to come back in. At this point Proof will be off our list of places to recommend and go. Absolutely disappointing. The food was warm not hot not cold so it was "eh". I have eaten here at least 5-8 times in the past year, 2-3 of those times being through the pandemic. They never fail to impress and honestly, I haven't ordered a single menu item I didn't love (and yes, I order something different every time). They put effort into presentation, quality and authenticity of ingredients, and they have a great selection of brews/drinks too! Staff is knowledgeable and always friendly. Atmosphere is modern yet relaxing. Food is well worth the price! SUPERFAN of this establishment for sure and would rate it top 3 restaurants in Tri-Cities. read more

We sat down at 1:30 and no one came by to offer water or bring a menu for over 15 minutes. There was a total of five tables with customers. They got the order wrong and offered me the menu item they made by mistake for the same price. After the cleaning that to wait for what I ordered, there was no adjustment on the bill. Stopped by in a hurry and hungry! Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered a philly sandwich and my partner had a burger. Side salad was fresh mixed greens and the ranch dressing has a hint of dill- yum. The bread for the sandwich and the bun for the burger were toasted and warm, a personal favorite touch. Not sure if it was staffing or that the drinks are more profitable than the food so that is where the focus is. Definitely going to be a place I will go again. Met friends for dinner everyone's food was excellent the appetizers were excellent the drinks were good and the desserts were also excellent. I would recommend calling ahead it can get very busy but the wait staff is very attentive and you really don't feel like you're waiting a long time for your orders or drinks. Not much to say here. A restaurant pretending to be more than what it is. Mediocre food, hit or miss service, and bumper to bumper seating. We waited for a good 40 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was not very busy when we got there. So not sure what was going on. Oh... the waitress forgot to put our order in. When we did get our food. It was lukewarm and not worth the wait. After sitting around waiting for the rest of our food. We decided to just leave. We had to get up and find our waitress who was busy talking to the bartenders. We tried this restaurant the other night for the first time. We came in a little early, around 4pm. I understand it gets very crowded during rush hour, and it appears that you would have a wait if this happens. The venue is not that large with regards to tables. During spring and summer months maybe even fall it appears they have a patio, and we heard rumors of a loft up above as well. I think this is the only limitation of the restaurant that I can fathom. The food menu was selective, and our dinners were exquisite. We tried a dessert as well, it was very well done and the appropriate amount. The pricing was reasonable, and you definitely got what you paid for. The service was exemplary, the staff were very attentive and personable. We are very familiar with the manager/ owner, Michael, as we've been going to Stick and Stone Pizza Pizza in West Richland for several years. He oversees a very well-managed restaurant there as well. We tried a couple of their very unique cocktails as well, and while they are little on the higher end of pricing, were very well worth the money for something so unique. One other thing worth mentioning for us, the restaurant is on the third floor, and has a fairly good view of both Central Tri-Cities, and a bit of the river and Hanford as well . I would highly recommend this unique and unusual Gastropub for anyone in the Tri-Cities or elsewhere, that would like a bit of a different flavor and experience. read more

Really great find while passing through on our way to Walla Walla. Very friendly & personable staff! Our server, Jackie was great. The Wake Up Burger was awesome, get it with pork belly instead of bacon, you won't be disappointed! And the Romesco Steak Sandwich was oh so tasty! This place obviously takes pride in the quality of food they serve. Also, very nice outdoor seating to enjoy the regional view and good cocktails. First I need to say that the food here is Wonderfull. Taste great. However the last few times I have called in orders for pickup I have had to wait 10-20 min longer than expected. Once it was understandable as we had a large order. The last time was a simple appetizer that I called in while driving in from Out of town knowing it would take a little time to get it done. Was told 25 min, but actually took 45 to get it. I really hope they can figure out how to get orders out on time. read more

This is our 4th night eating at Proof in 10 days. We have loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. So far we've not found a thing on the menu we haven't loved. The Steak Salad is amazing! My husband loved the Prime Rib Dip. Tonight I had the Mango Shrimp Salad and I will definitely order that one again. Earlier in the week my husband and son ordered burgers and they thought they were the best in town. Well done, Proof! Kudos to your staff! This has been an excellent addition to the Tri Cities!! On a road trip from Spokane to Portland we spent an hour researching where to eat on our way through Kennewick and finally landed on this gem. With a stunning view and cozy but elegant decor, we were more than happy with our decision. The bartender (Jeremy) was hilarious and friendly and we spent almost two hours laughing and chatting with him. The Proof burgers are a solid choice and we highly recommend you do yourself a favor and order the truffle fries. We'll definitely be back! read more

Food was fresh and the service was awesome! We arrived on a Saturday night. There was a short wait, but the host staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Our server was busy with a large group so the hostess was very quick to help out with our order (Kudos for great service.) She even made several recommendations one of which was the Proof burger, so I partook. The burger was fresh with a very thick and meaty pattie. If you are all about the meat as the star of your burger, this is an excellent choice. Fries were homemade and crisp. The vegan or vegetarian options are limited. However, they did have a portabello burger. The menu is pretty simple with a few options and categories. The emphasis here seems to be on the promotion of drink and social aspects. Although they do appear to put a great deal of care and quality into the available options. Proof is uniquely modern and resides on the third story of a brick and glass building. With several nice touches of local art and "culture", it truly a unique food/beverage experience for the Tri-Cities. The views of the Tri-Cities are pretty extensive from the lobby but tainted by the Carls Jr sign. (Certainly not their fault and can't be helped.) The interior facilitates big table areas for groups to gather. The booth was the most comfortable booth I've experience which will make socializing even more enjoyable. Went for a drink and an app with my boyfriend on our Anniversary Sunday Night! We had the Pulled Pork Nachos, they were very delicious! The Huckleberry Mule was Bomb and my boyfriend drunk was strong and fabulous as well! My only peeve! To many staff to have 2 dirty tables left for more than 10 minutes for diners to stare at! We waited to be seated for about 10 minutes. I walked to the bar where there was no one. Everyone was in the kitchen chatting and laughing. Which is fine, I like to see employees enjoying their place of work. I stared for a bit wait for them to notice then I actually walked into the kitchen to tell them we've been here waiting. Husband for the salmon and said it was delicious. I got the philly. It was dry so I asked for au jus. Very tasty with that. It's a new establishment so I understand they are just getting things in check. Great new spot in town! So good to see local owners open something other than another burger chain, and make use of prime location to add a more urban feel to Columbia Center Blvd. upscale menu and cocktail list didn't disappoint. I had the fish and chips and (more then one) house special whiskey sour, highly recommend both. I can definitely see this as my new dinner spot. Great food with a lot of gluten free options. I believe they have been opened for about a week so they are going through some growing pains, but overall the service was exceptional. The restaurant has a classier feel than most restaurants around the area from their furniture to the wall decor. Plus they have a check coat service. I definitely will be visiting again. You would think service would have improved after being closed and trying to retain business. And when needing to do take out to survive forgetting meals, making the customer return to get it, now cold and not doing anything for the customer is a joke and a bad business practice. Proof was a wonderful surprise for my husband and me. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The cocktail menu was fun and the drinks we had were amazing. We ordered some nachos. Every restaurant in the Tri cities serves nachos but these were extraordinary. I am not sure where they get their tortillas chips but they were so fresh and didn't have the heavy saltiness we have found elsewhere. The crema was tasty. This is a new direction for the Tri cities and hopefully will be here for years to come. read more

However, when we got there, they had our reservation but still said they wouldn't have room for at least an hour. The hostess was unapologetic and basically told us to deal with it.
