The light has no batteries and it's dusty inside the igloo

An experience staying at the igloo for 1.5 hours on Patio this winter. Staying at the igloo is interesting but there are only 3. The inside of the igloo is cozy with lots of visions and blankets to keep you warm. They also have two Heater inside. However, it's quite dusty. The light is not on coz there is no batteries. The candles are not light up ... afraid of CO2? To finish the tapas menu, it almost took us 1.5 hours to finish with the wait for drinks and good. Wonder if people takes the dinner menu, it will be really rush. With $50 per person for Tapas menu, you have a choice to choose wine, cider or choco. The hot choco does not taste good, not hotel style at all. There are a few choices of tapas and you can add side order on top. It's finished with strawberry dipped in chocolate to finish.

This place is awesome and beautiful. Its like the hidden gem in the outskirts of Yorkville. First Things First...its free to get in!!! The place is located inside Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville Hotel and the entrance is from the inside. Its a huge resto-lounge-bar with a huge patio as well. The serve wasn't bad it it got busy but then again you got to give it to the bartenders to get it done as soon as possible. The place has lot of table and chairs as well as couches to chill and have a drink. Pricing is a little on the expensive side but than again you would expect that from a place located in Yorkville. The awesome huge parking lot behind the hotel is connected and you can come up inside the hotel without stepping out in the cold and after peak hours the rate is maximum $6 flat!

Boozing it up with class? Then step right in! Came here for some catch-up time with friends late on a Saturday, and was not disappointed. Those drinks are pricy, but they don't skimp on the alki. It was already late when we showed up at 1230am, but the server brought over some complimentary house-made chips to tide over our hunger pangs. Definitely useful, since I'm a cheap drunk and was pretty hungry at this point. Even more disappointed when I finally settled on one of their many (many) cocktail options, only to find out they were out of hot chocolate, one of the key non-alcoholic ingredients for the drink. :\ The bellini my friend ordered was also kinda gross, the champagne in it tasted off. They offered to remake it with a new bottle, but she picked up a cocktail instead. They also had a good selection of whiskey on the list, so the men gave the place a thumbs up too. The location is really nice - it's just by Yorkville - and the decor is great. They were playing some old school 90s popular hip-hop music, which was really strange for the ambiance but since we grew up with it, everyone in our party was pretty pleased. Despite it being a Saturday, the place was pretty empty, there was one other large party in there other than our group of 6. They've got a beautiful piano in the middle of an open space which I assume is a dance floor, and the bar is connected to a hotel so the bathrooms are out by their lobby. Overall a decent place for a nice late night drink. Will definitely keep this in mind for a future meet up suggestion!

The existence of Proof Vodka Bar (from what I can imagine) serves only one purpose--waiting area for Sky Lounge. By square footage Proof is about equivalent to Sky Lounge, everything else falls short. But it's existence is not completely unjustifiable. It is after a bar, and all hotels need an indoor bar for it's guests to feel bad about themselves. So that is my interpretation of Proof Vodka Bar, a 'feel bad bar'. It is nearly impossible to be objective when reviewing this place because it's in many ways just an extension to Sky Lounge. There are two drinking venues within the Intercontinental Hotel Yorkville, and there is absolutely no reason why anyone should drink here when they can drink at Sky Lounge instead, which is separated by a few pieces of glass. There's no reason you should pick this place over Sky Lounge, not even on a rainy day, because the patio umbrellas & heaters at Sky Lounge provides complete protection from the elements. Proof is: -less romantic -dimly lit -more depressing -always empty This might as well be a review on Sky Lounge, because really what is there to talk about? Same service staff as Sky, same menu, same bar capability. Sitting here and looking through the window at Sky Lounge is like eating a hot dog on Front Street while gazing at the people coming out of all the restaurants around the corner. The furniture is posh, but so what? I get it, Proof serves it purpose as being a bar with a roof at a hotel. It's there solely for that purpose, and perhaps I am being a bit harsh. But it's kind of like being told the reasons to buy a smaller diamond by the sales persons at Tiffany's, when the bigger rock is staring you straight in the face. How many times did I say 'sky Lounge' in this review for Proof Vodka Bar?

Unnecessarily expensive. Even on weekend night place was not crowded. Service pretty ordinary. One beer costs about 15 bucks

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!

We went for a special occasion to The Rabbit Hole. I probably would've more likely given a 3.5. But…read moresince you don't have an ability to give a .5, I actually pushed it forward to a four star. It's located in the Scotiiabank Plaza at King and Bay. Entrance is closest to the Adelaide side of that building. You enter on the ground floor level, but then you have to walk up some stairs to actually get to the restaurant if you see the place with the kegs on the side of the stairs, you're in the right spot! You'll have to go buy those kegs later if you want to use the bathrooms cause that's where they are. Once you get upstairs, it's a quite nice looking pub area ( maybe little bit more higher end than some pubs ). We specifically went there because in December 2025 they had a special where they were doing a beef Wellington every day until it sold out. The price tag was a bit steeper at $60, although I have to say it was pretty good. Do I think it was worth the $60, well? I think the jury still out on that one. The service was very nice. The server came and checked on us periodically, and I did let them know that it was a special birthday for my partner, and so they actually arranged a nice to surprise and brought a special dessert out after the main meal. It was nice to get something sweet to finish the meal (comp'd). The Wellington was very good. It was probably just a little overcooked for me. I prefer mine more like medium rare and it was probably more like medium well done. I might've liked it better if it had not been so well done. However, it was still pretty good and a very nice flavor and it came with mashed potatoes and a really lovely gravy and some nice roasted vegetables. Atmosphere is pretty lively, I would say that there's not a lot of privacy because the tables are very close together. That was kind of a so-so thing in my book, but not a big deal. It is a pub after all. Also, that's what you can expect in those types of establishments. So it was quite enjoyable, it was also my first time there. Not sure I'd run back there although I generally do like O&B restaurants. It's just there are others of theirs that I prefer far more than this one. Close to all the transit steps away from King subway station.
