    Rigatoni and rose
    Lauren P.

Can't believe I'd never been to Prospect before! Was sooo tasty and had a fun, vibey atmosphere. I came here with a group, and it was perfect for us to lounge on the couches near the door. The dish I had was everything I could want in a pasta. I wish I could remember the name it looks like it's no longer on the menu unfortunately. I think it was a rigatoni with beef ragu and truffle. What really made it was the fried rosemary - I had never seen that before, but it really elevated the dish. Paired with a glass of rosé, Prospect was the perfect evening!

Date of Visit: 8/29/2025 We chose Prospect to celebrate Chinese Valentine's Day this year. This year the Chinese Valentine's Day falls on the last Friday in August. And we decided to give Prospect a try. Prospect was opened in 2010 from James Beard award-winning Chef Nancy Oakes, Chef Pam Mazzola and Kathy King. Located on the ground floor of the Infinity Towers, featuring contemporary California cuisine made from fresh and local ingredients. There is a dining room and a bar area, and it was nice to enjoy bar food and cocktails or wine for Happy Hour or after dinner. 2023 DuMOL Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley $28 Husband ordered the Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley, from the featured Sommelier Picks wine list. This Pinot is from DuMOL Winery, which crafts exceptional, highly sought-after wines. Sunset in the Bay $15 I ordered the Sunset in the Bay from the mocktail list. Made with spiritless tequila, giffard elderflower, dhos orange grapefruit, and lime. Love the taste of bitter and the special taste of tequila, which was one of the best mocktails I tried during pregnancy. Grilled Spanish Octopus $26 We got the grilled Spanish octopus as the appetizer. Beneath the octopus, it was paella negre with Monterey Bay squid, chorizo seco, green zebra tomato, and turmeric aioli. Highly recommended. Hokkaido Milk Bread $14 And we both love the Hokkaido milk bread with sesame seeds. It was paired with a special made of apricot and ube butter. The yellow and purple swirl of the butter was exceptional! Sweet but made a great pair with the milk bread. Prospect's Fried Chicken $35 For the main course, husband got the fried chicken. Came with three pieces of breast, thigh and wing. It was decorated with Pancetta braised Romanos, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and chicken gravy. The crispy skin and juicy chicken meat was very nice. 2018 Romeo Cabernet Sauvignon $23 Husband got another glass of wine to pair with the main course. This Cab is an old vine cabernet from Napa Valley. Grilled Center Cut Berkshire Pork Chop $44 I got the pork chop cooked to medium well. On the bottom, there were heirloom polenta with summer greens, black mission figs. And it was spiced with cherry balsamic, prosciutto San Daniele, and pork jus. Prospector $18 Husband got another cocktail after we are done with the main course. This cocktail is a stronger after dinner drink which was made with Scotch, Blandy's madeira, Benedictine, and prospect bitters. Ice Cream Scoop $5 I got the ice cream with various choices of ice cream or sorbet flavors. I ordered the cherry chips which were full of tiny chocolate chips and the sweet and sour real cherry fruit. There were also two chocolate cookies filled with vanilla to pair with.

OMG--Prospect still SLAPS with the same DELICIOUS and AMAZING flavors as ever! I'm here for the popular Prospect burger and fries this time. Amazing! Service is top-notch and keeps getting better. If Jerry, your server, buckle up--you're in for a next-level dining experience! Plates come out looking like works of art--bright, colorful, and full of love. And the taste? Even better than the presentation. Every bite is a wow-moment. The wine list is selective, special, and impossible to mess up. Pick anything, and you'll be golden. The vibe is romantic, classy, yet super fun--exactly the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger all night. I seriously LOVE everything about this place. Parking, though... that's the only adventure. Between the rideshare chaos and tight spaces, finding a spot--especially with a big car--is tricky. Pro tip: get here early before dinner hours, and with some patience, you'll find one. And trust me--it's 100% worth it once you're inside.

Recently came here for a work dinner and was quite impressed. I haven't been here in years (pre-pandemic) but the quality and service was as great as I remember it. For appetizers we ordered the honeynut squash ravioli, kale salad, and side of the Hokkaido milk bread. For my entree I ordered the coastal chanterelles and crispy hen of the woods mushrooms with scallops. Everything was delicious! The cocktails I ordered (sorry couldn't remember which ones) were also really good as well. Many patrons seemed to have just gotten off work so a nice atmosphere for our work dinner as well. Recommend!

Went to prospect for the first time. There were not any specials except for their Friday steak and fry special. I am confused as to the cut of beef. I ordered New York strip and got what I know to be a bavette. The waiter who dropped the plate said Filet Mignon - size to me was petite filet, and the beans and Bernaise sauce was flat. Also the mixatamal texture was like an undercooked bean. Best part of the meal was the salad

Came here for a MBA Infosession hosted by Northwestern University. A swanky and lovely restaurant that's worthy of dates and special occasions. Would definitely come back here for other occasions.

Came here for an anniversary dinner and it seemed like a lot of work dinners in Rincon Hill, but it also definitely had a few couples too. The lights were dimmed and it gave off a date night vibe. I enjoyed a Holiday cocktail and highly recommend the scallop risotto--I devoured it. Appetizers were good. Service was attentive and friendly and fast (as we had a show to get to after.)

The worst dining experience I've had in the US. The food is just okay but costs way too much, and the service is terrible. Both the waitress and the manager were incredibly rude and bad at their jobs. I have no idea how this place stays open. Do not waste your money here.

We had reservations here on a weekday for dinner and the place is amazing! We came here after work and were allowed to leave our backpacks at the front. Walking into the restaurant, it felt super upscale which I didn't expect and was so happy. We ordered some appetizers which were the burchata and scallops. burchata - I think you can never go wrong with it and I loved the veggies that came with it. Overall, it was yummy! Filet - This is so yummy! I had mines cooked medium well and it came out perfectly. This place is yummy and perfect for an upscale feel; however, I don't find it amazing.

Prospect is located in San Francisco & opened in 2010 from James Beard award-winning Chef Nancy Oakes, Chef Pam Mazzola and Kathy King of Boulevard Restaurant a few blocks away. I had a business dinner with a colleague from India who spends more than 250 days traveling between India, NYC, Dubai and San Francisco. He has a very sophisticated palate given his world travels. We met for a mid week dinner meeting at Prospect during early December where the restaurant was packed with locals and visiting guest during the festive holiday season. The restaurant was deck the halls with bright lights inside and out; a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations. Very warm setting to bring in the holidays. Perfect. We order a nice glass of red wine and whiskey. I asked our server Travis for an entree recommendation and he said his favorite was the scallops risotto, roasted carrot puree, French round carrots, parmesan cheese pinenut relish, mirepoix butter. They were a beautiful presentation and very well prepared, delicious and amble portions. My guest partner order a filet mignon, tamari braised cippolini's, chive & parmesan potato cake, roasted romanesco horseradish cream, au poivre sauce and he really enjoyed it but needed a "go box" due to the portions. For desserts we asked Travis again for his recommendation given his entrée were perfect! He suggested the Pumpkin cheesecake and his favorite the Affogato ice cream sandwich espresso ice cream, dark chocolate cocoa nib cookies, fudge sauce. Magnificent! Bravo! It's been over 5 years since my wife had been to Prospect----same on us! We shall return soon to enjoy it's majestic cusine again the the near future!

Great place for happy hour! Had their mezcal margarita and it was so good. The service was super friendly and efficient! Great neighborhood bar feel. Def coming back!

Went here for a work team dinner and we had a great time. The vibe inside is very elegant, and feels upscale. Service was wonderful; the staff we interacted with were very knowledgeable about the menu and great about giving us specific recommendations. They also have complimentary coat and bag check, which is perfect if you're coming from the office. The food was pricey but impressed me a lot! I enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered. My favorites were the hokkaido milk bread with the whipped plum berry butter (so soft and flavorful!), the northern halibut (a small portion but surprisingly super filling), the grilled pork chop (very tender), as well as the braised duck & pork meatballs. Would definitely recommend this spot for a nicer celebratory dinner or date!

Tried this place for the first time and I have some mixed feelings. The management and staff are awesome. Even the patrons here are great, but the food on the other hand seems to need a little help. Whenever I see "Fried Chicken" on the menu I'll come a running. Especially when the menu on the website says "Fried Chicken Friday". The "Fried Chicken" came out quick, but not very warm as well the sides. My expectations was what I saw on the previous pictures, but I think the hot sauce and honey should have been on the side as there was no crunch and the breast was boneless another disappointment. The guests sitting next to me who are regulars said that the way it was made before was much better after noticing the disappointment in my face. lol I didn't know I made that obvious. I will try Prospect again, but I will try the burger and the steak as the regulars advised me.

It's really interesting how food were super fusiony and since menu wasn't extensive, we ordered a good amount of food from the menu for share. I had the daiquiri bolognese and it's slightly sweet and foamy on top. Some of us ordered wine and I was impressed with the quality of the wine. We had the uni toast, oysters, sushi rice and swordfish prosciutto. Sushi rice is a must order. I didn't get to try the prosciutto so no comment on that. I would rather prefer Uni on rice to on the toast. We had the house rolls which performed average. Chicken liver was very smooth and done well. I normally don't eat organs like liver but this is actually good and didn't taste like organ. Next up we had the fried rice, eggplant and burrata. Fried rice kinda tastes like Thai basil fried rice but the rice was harder and with some hint of non Thai sauces. The eggplant dish gives Mediterranean vibe and burrata is a combination of Chinese mala, Italian burrata and lots of fresh figs. I'm not sure who's the winner here but I really appreciate the fun experience eating a seemingly traditional dish with a modern international twist. Onto the meat and seafood- the hanger steak tastes like Chinese (Cantonese) style bbq pork and very tender that is served with mustard and pickles. The grilled hamachi with nardello peppers were made very well and the Smoky flavor of both compliment each other very well. The pork dumplings with rendang curry was also good. Dessert was basque cheesecake and non caffeinated tea and both were ok. Would love to try their other desserts next time. Good job Ernest!

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

S E R V I C E Welp, this would have been a 5 star review but someone killed the vibes. Most of the staff was friendly, and our server was excellent - very attentive and efficient with drinks and apps arriving quickly. Unfortunately, as we were on our last round of drinks (I had a full cocktail left), a male staff came over and told us they need the table back in 10 minutes, and our server immediately brought the check. I was confused esp since there were two empty tables nearby and he didn't approach the other table that was seated around the same time as us. I later found the fine print on my rezzies about the 2-hour table max which wasn't mentioned when we were seated. Regardless, we still had about 30 mins left. Afterwards, I spoke with Mia at the hotel's front desk. She was very apologetic, looked into the situation right away, and kindly offered a round of drinks on our next visit. A M B I A N C E Chic and trendy with a cute glass-enclosed solarium, and sweeping views of DT and the city's skylines. Mix of tables and lounge areas with firepits and heat lamps (it's windy tho!). P A R K I N G Limited street parking (we found parking around the corner before 5 pm). Valet is $80. Overall, we had a great time at R&B Wednesday, and I thought the prices were fair for solid apps and drinks...for a rooftop bar. It was disappointing that our evening was cut short tho. Would love to return before it's over in October but that interaction left a bad impression.

I will say that this place is absolutely stunning and beautiful compared to a lot of others San Francisco rooftops that I have visited. This is located into the tenderloin, so please be aware that you will have to find your own street parking but parking a garage is preferred. This place has stunning views nonetheless, it's very chill and in a relaxing setting. The music is not overpowering, which is nice enough to have a conversation without having it overly crowded with 50 other people around you. I've definitely been back here a few times to take other friends and family and I will continue to do so. There are also heaters outside when it's very cold, chilly and windy. The staff is amazing as they are also willing to accommodate you and give you blankets if needed. Can't wait to go back!

I wish they would mention that their weekend morning to lunch menu is different from the one displayed on their website. I drove all the way here for the main pizzas/pastas for my birthday, but we were only limited to breakfast food and burgers on a weekend afternoon. Also, I understand that weekends get busy, but our server did not check on us at least once. They were only present to take our orders and then drop off the check. As a former server myself, I am very aware of these things. It appeared that there was some down time to check on a simple 2-top as she was walking up and down scanning the tables. I can say that this is not reflective of the previous times I've dined here as the service has always been very pleasant, and the food never disappoints. For minimum $20 per entree, you would expect the servers to check-in on how the table finds their food and whether or not there is something they can provide to make it better.

Daniel took care of us and recommended a pasta that ended up being one of the best dishes we had. His thoughtful recommendations, genuine hospitality, and warm personality elevated the entire evening and made it a truly memorable experience. We came back last night and were so excited to see Daniel again! He remembered us, made us feel incredibly welcome, and crafted an absolutely delicious lychee cocktail. Highly recommend Wildseed for both the amazing food and exceptional hospitality. A special shout-out to Daniel for always going above and beyond!
