We met some friends here on a recent Saturday - honestly, they were the ones to recommend the place. I keep forgetting about LoHi... Plusses: -- great beer! -- good casual atmosphere -- German night special on beers ($10 for 1L I think) and a german food truck Minuses: -- parking in LoHi (or lack thereof) -- German night special. They had a polka group (The Polka-nauts) that were way way WAY too loud. Honestly, when they were playing it was impossible to have a conversation if you sat inside. So that was disappointing. Prost is a bit different than most other breweries in Denver in that it focuses in on German beers. With the said, I think they do a pretty good job of it. I really like their Weissbeer the best but their Kolsh and Pils are both pretty spot on, too. What I discovered is that this is the perfect place for an afternoon beer, especially in the summer. They have a counter to sit at the faces out to the city but also a decent patio area as well. There is no arguing that there are great views to be had. They usually have the sausage guy there if you happened to get hungry, for the record. read more

Prost is a German style beer experience. I really liked the location, but we happened to be in there when the smell inside the building was horrible. Can't really explain it, but lets just say, it was not pleasant. They were short on their beer selection that day. I love German style beers, and had the Hefe style. It was good. I would have one wish that because they are limited to only about six of their own beers, that they might carry some beers from Germany on tap as well. It would be like a German Cheeky Monk. Just a thought. We will go back again at some point. read more

Hands down my favorite brewery! When my wife & I want to sneak out for a few hours away from the kids, we usually choose Prost. Nice open room, communal Bavarian biergarten seating, nice patio, friendly atmosphere, great beer. Yes, beer, the reason we're here. Man, they make some good stuff! Prost specializes in German beers so you're not going to find exotic Belgians or double IPAs. What you'll find are faithful recreations of classic German beers - real beers! However, the do usually have "guest" beers to satisfy the IPA lovers out there. Their location is great too. Trendy Lo-Hi, close to good restaurants as well as other beer destinations (Ale House at Amato's, Denver Beer Co.). Give Prost a try, you'll be happy you did! read more

I have been to Prost a few times over the last year- now I am finally getting around to posting a Yelp review. Outside: Prost has free parking out front with their gravel lot. Spacious Patio with stunning views of the downtown Denver skyline. Inside: Large wooden common tables with bench seating in addition to a smallish L-shaped Bar. Large Bavarian and German tapestry/ flags are draped from the ceiling making a visually festive atmosphere any time of year. Beers: All the German Favorites. Kölsch, Dunkel, Pils, Weißbier, Doppel and Maibock. All crafted with strict quality and pure ingredients. **Also- Prost is currently pouring a TRUE OKTOBERFEST or Märzen more correctly. Unfortunately for the American beer drinker/ enthusiast Oktoberfest seems to be just a darker/ more caramelized Ale with a bitter aftertaste. Not so here in the Mile High City Danke to Prost! Ein Prosit! This was some very Deutsches Bier! And huzzah for that. This is a great place to get the nostalgia of being in Deutschland without the cost and long flight. Sadly, nothing vegan on the menu. No surprise there though. But this isn't a place to go to eat. Vegans beware: the pretzel is NOT vegan. It has butter on it. read more

Denver is filled with breweries but this one is special. Traditional German style beer and good open seating meets Denver brewery atmosphere. This is a wonderful stop before any sporting event. It's a quick hop over the bridge to Mile High Stadium. Try the sampler for a good variety of what Prosit has to offer. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly. They used to have a parking lot but somehow it was converted to the hotel parking. Bummer but it's all Valet now. Food trucks rotating outside. Great location to walk around and check out local shops and have dinner. Be warned... it's a bit difficult to get to but its worth it. Don't get confused by the other Prosit which is also amazing but it is not a brewery (look for other review to come). read more

Naturally, breweries tend to skew to certain taste or stylistic profiles based on the brewers' interests and skillsets. I happen to have gravitated away from the trend of highly hopped beers toward more balanced, lighter and traditional styles such as Pilsners. Enter Prost. Exceptionally well made beers in generally European styles. A very nice departure from the hop dens. The scene was crowded and ebullient before Christmas, with a polka band covering Lady Gaga while throngs tipped back really nice glassware (sell the lovely swirly weiss glasses, please!) and dogs cavorted (and occasionally fought). I never mark down based on merch, but, folks, fifty bucks for a non-hoody sweatshirt seems egregious. read more

The Beer is great, the staff is pleasant and knowing about beer and brewing, and they have pretzels for those in need of something more in their belly. Prost is a great spot. There is always a crowd, but you can always find a table. I have never had a hard time finding parking, here. I like that they keep their beer styles traditional, you know exactly what you are going to get. Every time I have been there, there has been a food truck. I'm not a huge german beer fan, but they do a great job with the german styles (very authentic served in there proper glassware). I had the Dunkel which is the only dark beer, and it was as good as other German brews I've had. The bartenders are super friendly and will offer advice on beer choices and the local area. This place is a pretty far walk from downtown, but worth a visit if you are into the German beer style as they do it well. Don't expect chicken dances or polka music, but maybe they do during Oktoberfest or on special weekends? read more

This was my first time here and first impressions are important to me. I came here with a group of 8 and we weren't even greeted/welcomed or anything when we first walked in. We actually stood up front for about 5 minutes waiting to be seated/greeted. We decided to just seat ourselves after that. I went up to the bar and didn't see any staff members. Finally, a gentleman in a t-shirt comes out from the back and doesn't even say anything. Not even one "may I help you" or anything! I actually had to initiate the conversation and ask if we could order some drinks. The venue itself is really cool and they have a large selection of local beer. We just came from the Denver Biscuit Co. and my buddy really enjoyed the pumpkin beer from there. He asked if they served something similar here and the guy was a huge jerk about it. He gave my buddy a smirk and told him to read the sign. For being a tourist/first timer, he didn't see the sign, so a simple "no, we don't" would've sufficed. I forgot his name but he had side burns like Elvis and was a complete d**k. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because "Meh. I've experienced better." One star goes to the gentleman who came to our table and gave us a free tour of the brewery. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel welcomed. I wish I remembered his name. The second star goes to the nice female bartender that took some of our orders. She was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. She even let us sample a bunch of their beers before we made our decisions on which ones to get. It's unfortunate that the rude service from the very first gentleman is making me only give this place 2 stars. read more

I had been looking forward to checking them out for so long, because I love German beers. Unfortunately I will not ever come back, just in case I end up with either of those servers. I love the German Beers. they have on Tap. The Prices arent bad, and they honor the Home Brew card for a discount. Always a Food Truck/Cart is on premises. Very Friendly Bartenders. And when the owners are in, they are friendly and dont mind holding a conversation with you. Its great hearing the history of the building, and watching the Game when its on. This staff needs to take some classes on how to be nice and basic communication skills. Our group was from out of town, we don't have mask mandates in our area, so we were unaware of the masking policy. When we entered the building we were instantly YELLED at that we have to have a mask on, we put our masks on and walk in. Another portion of our group did not have masks and when they entered the building they were met with the same aggressive rude behavior. I explained that we are from an area that does not mandate masks so a bunch of us don't have them and asked if they had any masks to give us given THEY are requiring them. They replied, still rude, that they do not supply masks and that we would have to sit outside. There was absolutely a better way to approach the situation, you could have simply asked us to put on a mask and we would have done it. Thanks for nothing, your beer sucks and you're staff sucks even more. read more

Beer was okay. we stopped in and wanted to to like it and catch the Michigan game(4/6). It took a good ten minutes sitting at the bar to be even greeted. We were baffled. At least three bartenders that we could count but they were all clustered at the register with the line. The wheat was good and the pilsner was ...meh. When we were helped. No welcome, introduction to the brewery or beers...Nothing. Disappointing. When my boyfriend beer was gone ( I was driving) his glass was cleared and it took another ten minuted to be offered another. Hmmmm. The girl that did finally help us was a bit more helpful and explained a little more. Though she seemed a lil confused on liters to oz... our bad for being a little rusty on Metric but she clearly didnt know sizes, only glasses. Great spot and AMAZING view of downtown. Cool patio but a bunch of people smoking right outside the door which made it unbecoming and drafted right back into the brewery. read more

My college Alumni Association held a pork roast here and we had a blast. Note the food was brought in for the occasion by the association not the Brewery. All I saw for food from the brewery was a soft pretzel that looked alright. I didn't have one, why would I as there was BBQ. The location is very convenient right off I-25 on 20th in the Highlands. I believe there is parking around back. Where our Uber driver dropped us off there were very few parking spaces. There is a nice outdoor area to sit as well as indoor seating. The seating is all picnic bench style. If you're meeting there with a larger group you'll want to get there a little early to save seats so everyone can be together. I am not a Craft Beer Authority, but I enjoyed a couple of their beers. It's all German Style and every beer I tasted actually tasted like beer. If you're looking for the esoteric, hoppy, sour, or beer with hints of coffee you probably want to go elsewhere. That's not to say the beers didn't have slight hints of citrus or some other flavors, however it was first and foremost beer. The service was actually surprisingly good considering over 100 people descended on this place all at once. When the crowd thinned out a bit we were even able to order from our server rather than go to the bar. We had several servers stop by and clear dishes,take orders or drop off orders. I love that they all worked as a team to help make the experience better for the customer. So three stars - worth stopping by. There are so many breweries within a few miles to check out and this one is nice. I would prefer a place like this had more food and/or a regular food truck schedule that provides more sustenance than a pretzel. And I know the different licenses cost more, but for my friends that prefer wine or liquor it would be nice to have an option. And maybe a guest beer or two would be nice. Some of my friends would just prefer to have a Coors Light (don't judge because I already give them plenty of grief) and it would be nice to accommodate them as well. So stop by on a nice day for a German Beer and plan on dinner elsewhere. read more

This review is specifically for the Gose. I *think* he said it is a wheat sour, but whatever it is, I love it! I find it really difficult to describe in words. It's refreshing and it has this hint of salt that you taste at the end of a sip that I find super tasty. The other beers my husband tried can't hold a candle to the Gose. Chill spot, dog friendly, easy place to chill and unwind after a crazy day. read more

Headed to Prost on a Thursday night and was disappointed with the experience. For starters, I came here with a friend on their 30th birthday to grab some beers. To our surprise, we were told that we would be getting a birthday discount...which was $2 off. Next, we asked one of the bartenders to turn on the sound for the NBA Finals, which had 3 minutes remaining in a close game. The bartender responded with "not happening" and that the bar was closing in 30 minutes. Thanks man! Not sure if that night was an anomaly but either way I won't be coming back to see if things turn out any differently. My suggestion is to take your business elsewhere to either Denver Beer Co or Zuni St Brewery for a friendlier environment with better beers on tap. read more

Had a great time visiting over the weekend for the first time! Since the weather was wonderful, the outdoor patio tables were mostly filled, but the good weather trickled on into the inside tables as well. Beers are a good size and decently priced. We were there around 3pm and it wasn't very packed, however within the next hour or so - all tables quickly got taken. There was 1-2 patio games and dogs are allowed. All in all would recommend to anyone visiting! read more

I went here last night and it was pretty good! Our waitress was very friendly and gave us recommendations on what beer to order based off of our taste buds. It's actually one of the cheaper breweries I've gone to in Denver by about $1.50 per beer. They have serve food you just need to ask what they're offering that day. Prost is a nice brewery right in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood around the area of Little Man Ice Cream and Avanti. I've always felt most of the new business coming into the neighborhood provides a similar trendy, casual environment regardless of where you go. Prost seems to have that same feel, but adding in a German twist. I can't say it's my favorite location to grab a beer, but it does provide a good place to meet up with a group and relax with a few beers. Prost provides a great selection of beers for pretty much any type of person walking in their doors which is great when you want to accommodate everyone in your party. read more

Went here on a Saturday night with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of beer selections that all tasted great! They have valet parking up front (otherwise it's street parking), have a nice cozy interior, and also had a food truck that delivered food to the people waiting inside. I had such a nice time at Prost! The staff was super gracious and kind. They obviously put a lot of care into their work. Our server (Sophie?) answered all of my questions and helped me select a couple of delicious beers. I've found that fun bars that are also safe are few and far between these days, but Prost exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return to Prost and support them during the pandemic. read more
