We were getting an error code on our dryer, and they told us the name of technician who would be arriving, and a picture as well. He contacted us when he was on his way, which is a nice courtesy. Andy is skilled in customer service as well as appliance service, and he represents the company very well. The problem was likely some blockage in the dryer itself due to lint buildup, but also might be in the exhaust hose to the outside. The initial visit was $149, and we were told that when making the appointment. For $51 additional he would open up the dryer and vacuum out built-up lint that may have accumulated over the years, and we opted for that, to eliminate that as a problem. He did a very thorough job, but also we are going to have another company clean out the vent since lint buildup is a serious fire hazard. They aren't cheap, but with cheap you often get problems. For us the price was reasonable to have it done right.

To cap it all off, the technician left the dryer door swinging open the wrong way, completely blocking the opening to the area. Now, as a disabled person, I have to awkwardly maneuver and dance around the door just to get into it and use the machine. When I called to ask them to fix this basic oversight, they wanted to charge me another $150. For a job that cost well over $500 with parts and fees, basic attention to detail should be included--not treated as an opportunity to squeeze more money out of a customer.
