I have had 5 Auto loans from Provident Credit Union. 4 of those loans i got from the Folsom Branch and Joshua the branch Manager did the loans for me. He made every transaction smooth and easy. Reyna is amazing! I refinanced Auto Loan and she finished the approval process within 1 hour. She sent the check same day and I also get $300 bonus for opening the checking account. Wow! This branch is amazing. I called other branch in Santa Clara which was not providing service due to the covid19 and just called this Branch for inquiry but Reyna made me feel comfortable to apply Auto Loan right away and I am so glad I did. read more

Hands down best customer service I've received in the last year. I worked with Stephen and He went above and beyond to make my auto refinance as pain less as possible and got me at under 3% interest on my M3. He always called or emailed me with any update no matter how small it was which was great. I liked the service so much that i even opened and account with them and got a credit card as well. They will get you somehow inadvertently signed up for the courtesy pay service and then next think you know you'll gone from having savings to having thugs calling you all times of the day due to the fees being stacked on and the payments they SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE FOR YOU WITH MONEY YOU DIDN'T HAVE. It's deceptive because the customer service is so attentive when you go in, they seem super nice. Someone needs to crack down on them. It must be illegal. read more

This is the best bank if your looking for a high interest checking account. I started off with a 3.2% interest super checking account, I've had it for about 6 years and I at least take home $200 annually just from the interest. This is great compared to any other checking account from other banks, where you'll probably get a horrible 0.02% or no interest at all. I usually work with Marites who provides great service and is excellent in following up with any questions regarding checking, savings, and car loans. You can even google high yielding checking accounts and you'll see provident credit union pop up in the search. They have plenty of sister banks who can help you if provident credit union is not located near you. read more

Purchasing a new vehicle can at times be very stressful, however, my experience with the financing was pain free. I was pre approved and purchased the new car all in one day. Very Disappointed with the Loan Process. I applied for a home loan and despite our excellent credit we got a complete run-around with the person at the main office (not this particular branch) The manager of the local branch played a very minor part in trying to get back my money that was required to start the loan process and could have done much better on this. Through no fault of mine, I only got back a portion of the $600 that I had to pay to start the process. The loan processer lied to us and ultimately I had to cancel the application with Provident and had to rush through a loan with another lender-- but to my advantage I actually received a better rate than what I was going to get at Provident so I guess it all worked out for the best. -- Just was very disappointed in the lies and false information that was given to us by their loan person at the corporate office. read more

Just the facts...In 2013, we got a car loan, refinanced, and got a home equity line of credit from PCU. In all three cases, I was pleasantly surprised with the low rates. Earlier this week, we just closed checking account with a bank (because of it's $25 monthly fee), and will use only the free PCU Super Checking Account that pays me interest! read more

As with anything in yelp sometimes you still have to try the restaurants even when there are few negative reviews. I heard good things about this credit union from my friends so I decided to join. They offer SOOOO many good benefits with great percent for all saving needs.I really wish I would have found out about this sooner instead of being screwed over time and time again with chase who only wants to give you credit cards like freedom with 24% apr and got me in a hole so that they can benefit off me when I was much younger. I am still paying them off and will be for many years but once Im done paying them off I intend to close them forever. Seriously I will never turn back. Everyone here is always extremely helpful and this is the best thing I could have done for my family and myself. It helps simplify my life, sure there aren't branches everywhere but I can deposit at any atm that is credit union and they are all over and I can withdraw from the same atm or deposit from my phone, I don't want to be touching my account all the time, I want to save money and put it in the right place. I do wish they had more branches throughout this area but I can do a lot that I want online, the website is so simple. Plus I have looked around and compared so many credit unions and they are the only one with the 2.01 dividend payout besides the other one in bay area which is 3% but its only limited to 15,000 but provident is limited at 25,000 which means bigger payout. Like I said this credit union really offers me the best rate for everything both Joshua and Marites are so helpful. read more

My wife opened accounts for our daughter and herself a year ago when our daughter became very ill and disabled. The staff of this brach was very helpful for quite some time. Our daughter rents a house from us, and we felt it would be best to keep both accounts related to the house at the same financial institution. I went in to deposit our daughter's rent check yesterday, and they refused to deposit it. According to the staff at the branch, they have a policy that they will not cash a check from one member of their credit union to another member of their credit union over $1,000.00 without speaking to the person that wrote the check. It apparently does not matter that they can look at both account histories and see that we have plenty of money in both accounts and have been doing this every month for a year. I took the check back and my wife went in to the Folsom today to deposit the check into our account. They refused unless they could speak with our daughter. My wife called our daughter and handed the phone to the teller. He told us that he could not deposit the check because he did not actually make the call. Mind you, we have made deposits for rent in the same amount every month for a year, and have never run into this problem. The teller was rude and condescending. We will close our accounts as soon as all of the respective checks in both accounts clear and move to a financial institution that really values customers. Do not do business with this company. Something very bad has changed. They do not deserve your business. read more
