We love Thursdays here: $5 all you can eat wings! Though you have to get there early to ensure a spot to sit, this place gets PACKED. It's a great place to get your drink and wing on. The patio ROCKS. The only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is that we went once and ordered a pitcher of beer that was totally flat. I really hate telling servers that I'm unhappy about anything, but this was a huge amount of undrinkable beer, so I felt the need to make the bar aware of this. The response I got was basically, "I'll tell the bartender, but they won't do anything about it." It was also SLAMMED, so I kind of understand this reaction. This wasn't that big of a deal for any of us, we switched to mixed drinks which are cheap and strong, but it wasn't my favorite reaction. Beer should be foamy, fam! What happened? This place used to be so much better on Thursday nights. The wings are no longer good and they got rid of thai bbq. They also are not serving any other food. You can't even get fries or celery or anything besides wings. Service is slower than ever. As a loyal Pink Tanker, I was ecstatic to see them get a permanent home at one of my past local watering holes. Bringing back all their classics (nice to see you again, Benz) with some new favorites and the same classic chicken & waffles that made them famous, all while having a permanent home, pitchers of Bud and permanent beer pong tables. I moved away from the neighborhood a few years ago and hadn't been back since, but with the addition of Pink Tank to the kitchen, I've been back twice for different sports games. Rest assured when the Celtics make the ECF (fingers crossed!), I'll be right back to Pub on Pearl to watch the game with a Good Stuffed sandwich in hand. read more

I've been coming to pub on Pearl for a couple of years now and it's one of my favorites. The staff is nice and service is always great! My fiance and I showed up thinking we would order our usual hot wings only to discover the menu had changed completely. I was so disappointed at first but after we got our food from their new menu thru Pink Tank I couldn't have been happier! It was AMAZING! I had the GOAT burger and fried pickles. It was stupid delicious. The head chef,David, came over to ask how our food was and brought us a sample of the hot sauce ice cream. It was bacon topped, carmel covered heaven. We will absolutely keep coming to pub on Pearl for drinks and now the best burger in Denver as well! read more

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. After I was ignored for ten minutes straight at partially empty bar, and then served a "margarita" aka tall glass of sweet/sour mix with maybe half a shot of tequila in it, I think this is warranted. Also, this was my third straight bad experience. I REALLY wanted to like this place but they seem to REALLY want to drive customers away. I literally watched a couple and another guy sit at the bar, get ignored, and leave. If I had left, I would've have had less sweet/sour mix in my stomach and more money in my purse. Pros: Nice specials, nice atmosphere during early happy hour. Cons: RUDE staff, bad customer service, food is poor quality and tastes like it, bartenders don't know how to make drinks apparently. Unless you have ten years to wait for crappy food and are one of those people who like people treating you like crap, skip this place. Don't waste your money or time. Unless you come on a day when the staff decides to do their jobs, you will leave unhappy. Note to management: Get it together! read more

Usually I don't mind feeling dirty but when I'm eating somewhere I really don't dig it. I went here this past weekend and it was absolutely out of control all thanks to college basketball. The crowd was random --college kids, bikers and hippies. Maybe I'm just getting too old but inside was waaaaaay too loud for me and it just didn't seem like a place that would be blaring the LMFAO. Luckily they have a pretty sweet patio with a gorgeous view of I-25 so that option was there. There's tons of tables and used more as a place to smoke than eat as we were the only ones out there. We waited for about 15 minutes and no server came out so we had to go inside and ask for one. She came out a few minutes later and it probably would've been faster if we just ordered at the bar since she would leave for 10 minutes, take our order, bring out our food, said she was going to bring waters and then never came back. We finally had to flag her down just to pay and had to go inside to do that. I got chicken fingers and they were pretty rank but tried their sweet potato tots and they were bomb.com (I'm bringing the phrase back).Meh indeed, friends. read more

This is a horrible bar. Food is horrible. Staff is horrible. It is dirty and not kept up on. I was trying to play pool when a bunch of kids took over one of the tables for beer pong. They were then constantly in the way of the other pool table. I will not be back, and I will warn as many people as possible about this trash hole. Really cool place! Been here 3 or 4 times and they've never disappointed. They must be doing something right because every time I've come here they are packed. The staff has always been courteous, the happy hour wings are great, and they have a lot to select from as far as drinks. There's karaoke, there's beer pong tables, and they have a rather large patio in the back as well. Would give 0 stars if possible. Came in for wing night at 10:20 and was told wings were served until 11. Literally sat there for 45 minutes watching servers intentionally ignore me so they didn't have to serve me. I eventually went up to the bar and the bartender who was a nice guy told me he would have a server right with me. Never happened. I'm a very generous tipper and would have been happy to get a couple drinks and wings and have been on my way but instead I wasted my time and left with an empty stomach. Thanks guys. read more

We came here for $5 all you can eat wings recently and to watch the start of football season with the Thursday evening games. I tried the chicken strips with tater tots and how can you go wrong with tots. They were awesome. I snuck a few wings as well and really liked the hot wing sauce. There was a huge crowd but service was friendly and fast, with cheap drink specials and even a free shot offered up after a touchdown. This place appeared to have their many regulars. Let the following narrative prepare you for the disheveled good time that is the Pub on Pearl: Just after 7PM on a Saturday night my coworker and I sauntered the couple blocks from my abode over to The Pub on Pearl. We had no big plans for the night, just wanted to have a drink or two. Off she goes to use the restroom, and I find myself at the bar right in front of their drink special board. Fate, right? $3 Jager bombs. Yes please. First mistake out of our way, we seat ourselves and are greeted by a friendly server. She was very patient with us, and we ended up ordering a couple drafts, the queso with tater tots, and jalapeno poppers. My friend did not sit around for long, as she quickly made friends with the people playing beer pong in the back room. "We are up next, and we are going to play the owner." We promptly order the cheapest pitcher they have (PBR) and wait our turn. The greasy bar food was perfect after a long day at work. Who knew tater tots and queso were so amazing together? After their game ends we are summoned and we set up our ten cups with college sophomore focus. We sucked. However, we played against the owner of the place and his crooked friend in a blue shirt. Literally, this guy could not stand up straight. He leaned sideways from the waist, looking like he was frozen in the beginning of some brew-inspired yoga pose. My friend was always providing distraction techniques, everything from spirit fingers to jazz dancing. Blue, in his crooked genius, decided his distraction would be to drop his jeans. I looked at my watch, it was 9:07PM. He was waddling around with just his boxers and blue shirt showing his team pride. We still lost. They were nice enough to buy us a shot, some purple ooze under a bunch of vodka. We were supposed to drink the thing through a straw, which we did. I think playing Blue and taking this shot must have been mistakes two and three. My friend and I played a couple games of Lazer Ball (basically skee ball) and I am pretty sure the game malfunctioned every time it said there were three balls left to play. We proceeded to play more beer pong and finish off our jalapeno poppers. We lost to two blonds who were uber-competitive and then lost to two people who seemed like they had never played before. I am pretty sure my friend kept calling me out for having no game, so to prove her wrong I hit on our server as we closed out our tab. I think I got her name, asked when she worked next, introduced myself and shook her hand. No number, too drunk to remember to ask. As we walked out into the brisk night, I realized the pub was just starting to get packed with people. Why do I explain my night in such needless detail? First, this narrative will either inspire you to discover a good local pub or turn you off from a crude and tasteless bar. Second, I never have nights like this anymore, but every once and a while this is exactly the type of trainwreck night one needs. Go here if you are ready to meet some interesting characters and pig out on a small yet tasty bar menu. Back in the day I came here all the time and loved it, I was in the neighborhood recently and wow... and not in a good way. I was with a friend at a shop in the area and we went over to PoP to meet my girlfriend who had beat us there by about 20 minutes. It was a slow Saturday afternoon, and my friend and I joined my GF. After 10 minutes of being completely ignored, and my gf telling me she had ordered food when she had gotten there, I popped up to the bar to ask for a status update and see if we could get some service. I told her my gf had asked for french fries and tater tots. The woman behind the bar said we don't serve fries, and I was like what about the tots? And she just replied she DIDN'T THINK MY GF HAD ASKED TO ORDER FOOD. I'm pretty sure people know if they order food. Rather than offer to put in an order or swing by our table she turned her back on me. The three of us continued to be ignored and were like screw it, we're out of here... Just as the one other server we'd seen was like do you need anything? We asked for the check, as my girlfriend had asked for a drink when she got there. Even that was an ordeal with waitress and the bartender coming back and forth from the table and acting extremely put out. I don't expect a lot from the local watering hole, but some basic courtesy is nice. We relocated to another neighborhood spot and were treated fantastically. Way to burn a bridge PoP. read more

I've only been here during their $5 wing night and I am a fan of their wings. They offer a few different varieties. I am partial to the spicy garlic, but last week they had a thai flavor that was also pretty good. It's always really busy so service can be a little slow but it's to be expected and I feel like everyone is doing their best to get people in an out. I hit this place up for the happy hour on a recent Thursday. The service was good and our server was very nice. Once we ordered the wings, our server checked in before we were even done with the current basket to make sure we ordered the next batch if we wanted. I visit this place a few times a year for pool league. The food is okay. I've had the southwest egg rolls, chips and queso and the corn dogs with tater tots. I like the corn dogs and tater tots...I won't lie! Service in the past was pretty bad but the past few times I've been there Mandy has taken real good care of us. Tuesday nights are a good night to go because it's not very crowded in the pool room. Well, until last night. Someone got the great idea to cover one of the tables to allow for beer pong. Really? I come here sporadically for the pub run on Wednesdays and stay after for drinks and food. The place is kind of divey but I like that about it. After the run they have 2 for 1 bud light and $2 pizza slices. Pizza is delicious! Super great deal and the slices are almost always good sized. Place is in a good location with plenty of street parking and the service is usually ok-a few times its been slow but overall good. Not my go-to but the run is fun and it's a good spot to hang out! read more
