(gluten boooo) I'm not a fan of the long waiting to order or reorder, no table service but they will run your food out to you. I wasn't made aware at first that you can skip the long line & reorder from the bar, this is super helpful. Clean, and inviting. Large area of merch for sale. Was in town and decided to hit up a brewery after a full day of activities around Cannon Beach. Looks nice from the outside, it on the other side of the strip from where I was staying, a good 15 min or so walk for me to work up the appetite. When we arrived, the setup was limited and a bit different. They have a table at the front door where you can order your food and beer/drinks. They will take your food order and send it to the kitchen to cook up, will get you your drinks now so you can take them to any available table, inside or out. The dine in option was limited to a particular area only. Then the staff will find you and bring you your food. I cant remember exactly which beer I ordered, Coastal Haze? Maybe. And also ordered a house-made Root Beer. Both were pretty good to wet the whistle and much needed. As for food, we got the Harris Beef Burger, Fish Tacos and an order of the Onion Rings. All were very good, super tasty and one of the top meals I had while in town. I will say the Onion Rings were very good, loved the batter, super crisp and we totally killed it.... One of the best rings I've had in a long time! Staff was friendly, I think they only had limited staff that day so they worked hard to try to get you what you need. Atmosphere inside and outside was nice looking. Prices are what we thought it would be so no sticker shock when we were looking at the menu. Overall, a good brewery with delicious food, would come back when in town again. They sell merch if you into that. With a full belly, we took our sweet time walking home. read more

The Business manager contacted me via Yelp! and asked me to give their restaurant another chance, since I originally gave a review that I was disappointed with the quality of their food. I agreed to it since I feel in most cases, everyone deserves a second chance. The b manager also stated he was willing to offer me an entree on the house, which I thought was a nice thing to do. I specifically told him I would be there on a Tuesday, ahead of time and gave him the date I would be there as well. He told me to ask for him when I got there. To my surprise, when I got there today, I was about to make my way to the restaurant, after a fun day at the beach, when I noticed it stated it was closed on my google maps. When I looked up their days open, Tuesday was one of their "Closed" days. Really?! I messaged him just a couple of days ago to confirm I would be there today (on a Tuesday) and he NEVER mentioned they were closed on Tuesdays. I mean he could at least said so. In other words, I believe the only reason he offered me a free entree was because he KNEW they would be closed on my day of arrival! I also gave him the opportunity to explain this to me via a private message and he never responded! I am a native Portlander and I am pretty sure he is not, because this is NOT the way we treat people who have any decency here! I work with Tourist for my profession and I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to them! This just bad business! read more

Our first stop upon arrival to cannon beach. We sat outside with our dog and ordered a couple beers and I had the cherry seltzer which was good! We split the root beer bbq chicken wings and onion rings. The root beer bbq is truly heavy on the root beer flavor, but it was good! The onion rings were really delicious as well. This place is a must-do every time we're at this stretch of the coast. In fact, it's become a bit of a tradition whenever we go to Cannon Beach or Seaside, that this is our first stop after the drive from Portland. Probably one of the best fish in fish n chips I've had. The cod was fresh, breading was crisp and fresh, oil Not stale and the homemade tartar sauce was good too. I didn't care for the fries-- they were just too thick. We also ordered a lb or chicken wings in garlic parm flavor plus ranch. It was just good enough. I guess getting used to our favorite Milk Drunk, a Seattle local, is hard because that sets the expectations. I didn't like that the wings were 'wet' with sauce and oil: it was flavorful though and I like that they came with carrot and celery sticks to chase the oil away. I was pleasantly surprised that PCB offered some organic items on their menu. We opted for the blackened king salmon sandwich, off of the special menu. The sandwich was so hard to keep together that I ended up ditching the hoagie roll, and ate the salmon by itself. The clam chowder was tasty, not overly thick. This place is off the beaten path in touristy Cannon Beach, and I'm so happy this gem was literally steps away from our AirBnb. The vibes were super casual, and service was great, and the food was good. For my meal I shared the pretzel with cheese and a veggie burger and both were delicious! The veggie burger was hearty and I especially loved the vegan jalapeno aioli that came with it. The other people in our party got the hummus plate (a gorgeous, huge hummus plate with tons of fresh veggies and pita bread), the regular burger, and chicken wings. Upon arrival I easily found a parking spot out back which was a relief because parking is a nightmare around here. You are instructed to order at the bar and then find a seat. You get your beer upon ordering but food gets delivered to your table. The little tracker they give you allows the food runners to find where you are seated. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I chose a booth indoors so I dont burn =) I ordered a side salad with the blueberry honey vinaigrette. All of the vegetables were fresh and the dressing was amazing! I wish I could take some home with me. I then ordered the burger that came with fries. Equally delicious considering I cleared both plates. The public coast hazy IPA was delicious. I ended up having two of them. I tried hazy ipas elsewhere throughout my travels and this was definitely the best. The employees were friendly and they have various merchandise for sale as well as 6 packs to go! You can also order additional food and drinks through the QR code on your table. Each table has a unique QR code which allows them to find you. Fun microbrewery Located near the entrance of cannon beach. Nice size parking lot, including a Tesla charger! Order at the counter then they give you a little device. It's not a pager but a sensor for the server to locate you - you just need to place it at the edge of your table. Got the fish and chips and side salad which were decent. I'm a big guy that likes to eat, but I love to eat this battered fish. Service was kind and brought fresh water in a bowl to my dog. We munched on some of the tastiest and crunchiest, fresh onion rings we've ever had while sampling a their entire beer board. All their beers were pretty great, with something for every taste. So good that we ended up taking several 4 packs back to Texas with us: blonde ale, caprockstout, both IPA's they had on tap, their lager, and another stout. Truly superior service, pandemic and all. My husband loves the Hazy IPA! We tried the hazy at another location and my husband made it his mission to try this place. The fish tacos and fish and chips were very good. Also the house root beer was very good for a non alcoholic option. The staff is very nice, however I wish it was full service outside and you didn't have to go in to order. The set up outside was very nice, clean, and welcoming. The also welcome dogs on their patio, which was nice. They also had a great gift shop that including a fridge with their beers & ciders in the can. We'll definitely be back next time! read more

A simple 90 minute drive from west Portland and you can park in the lot, pop a squat by fire and enjoy your choice of seasonal beers and pub style food. Blueberry Hazy is my current favorite. So very glad to see that Cannon Beach got this brewery since last time we visited. It's been about five years and it's not all that gar away from home and we always enjoy our visits when do them to this corner of Oregon. Part of it is due to the pandemic but I feel like that excuse covers it just slightly. Anyway to get back on topic. We immensely enjoyed Public Coast Brewing and it was our first brewery we landed at on this most recent trip down this way. Steve had a beer that was good but can't quite recall what it was. Fortunately I do recall what I had. I had an awesome imperial blond coffee ale. It had the lightness a blonde has but came in with a bit of a punch with the coffee aspect which made it pleasant. I always like the change of pace and get lighter beers from time to time with coffee flavor highlights to them. I don't get this very often and see coffee more in dark beers. Moving on to dark beers by the way that takes me to the next beer I had. Now whenever I see a PB&J beer I get super excited as I had an obsession for them and couldn't get a hold of one at a number of breweries for the longest time so when I saw the PB&J Jealous Stout I got a small pour of that one as well. It didn't disappoint as my PB&J beer experiences never are. The peanut and fruit blended well and was a real joy to drink which eases in a very fine five star rating for Public Coast! read more

My partner has eaten here before but the first time for me. They have dedicated gluten free fryers and are committed to allergy considerations. This is one of the only places my partner can find GF onion rings. She ordered the GF onion rings and chicken wings, and I had a bacon cheeseburger with GF bun. The rings were AMAZING and I couldn't tell the difference between the GF bun on my burger versus a regular. My burger was cooked right, juicy, seasoned well, and very enjoyable. First off, this is located in the same town as The Goonies rock so that alone makes it worth the stop! It's very popular, plenty of summer tourists, so finding seating was a challenge.
