They followed up to clarify and check in to see if there was anything else we needed and that they looked forward to seeing us. From day one, I said that I needed to make my payments on the 15th, when I get paid. Every month for over a year on the 6th-8th I start getting calls and emails that I'm late and, more importantly, every month I get charged over $100 in late fees. They also charged a large annual increase (about $50) without any notice that is non-negotiable. All for units that are full of vermin. Both of my units are overrun with mice/rats. Literally half of what I'm paying to store will have to be thrown out because of vermin damage. If I had an extra $1,000 to hire people and a truck to move my items to a different, better facility I would. I have another larger unit in a different location and haven't had any problems with them. Extra Space doesn't work with you financially because they don't have to; they know they have you over a barrel. Warning: do not rent here!!! The people are great, but once you store your things, you're stuck.

He told me they could just vacate the unit and return my money even after I said to him that I was okay with them keeping the money since they did work on my behalf and I signed documents. These include the back gate left unlocked and wide open as displayed in my photo. To make matters worse, the buildings are left unlocked 24/7, and many units have hollow core doors. So much t would be a small matter for someone to enter, put their fist through storage unit doors, and empty the place. As a former police officer, my advice is to keep the back gate locked at all times. Lock the buildings at night, and replace hollow core doors --including the one to the office -- with solid core. And while you're at it, a basic alarm system would be well worth the expense. If you did these things, your property would beat anything else in NVA hands down.

Mimi was a good amount of time on the phone with and me, never making me feel rushed. I even had to call back later with more newbie questions and Mimi returned my call promptly and was very pleasant and genuinely sincere. After speaking on the phone with Mimi, I knew I'd be going with Vienna CubeSmart for my storage needs. This lady is the real deal and you can tell she loves her job. Nightmare pricing scheme. Moved our furniture into storage in 2021, really affordable price for 3…read moremen, a truck, 5 hours of packing and transporting to their warehouse $1100. We only stored our large furniture, no small items. Year and half of storage we finally found a house. Decided not to pay $5,500 to move the items a few hours away. Choose to pick up our items from the warehouse and use a uhaul. Owner wanted to charge $1,800 for what would take only an hour to accomplish. This was $1,000 for them to retrieve the five crates and put them at the warehouse door, and $145 an hour for 2 of their guys to unwrap the furniture with a minimum of 5 hours charged regardless of how long it took. Picked up items, owner finally agreed to only charge for the time it actually took them to unwrap items (we loaded the trucks). Total for about 45mins of work was $1,225. Be careful about storing your items in the warehouse once they have your personal belongings you will pay 2x-5x to get them back.

However, not only did the movers put dents in my dry wall, scratch up walls, put rips in my couches, beat up all my furniture (dresser, tables, etc.), but when I reported the damage, the owner mentioned I have waived certain coverage when I NEVER even saw a contract.. I even confirmed with one of their employees that I was never sent a contract, and he said that one isnt typically needed with a "small" move. Boy, was he wrong. This was frustrating as we were moving into our first home, and now we have quite a bit of repair we need to do. If you don't mind getting your furniture and house beat up, lying from their employees, and incorrect and improper responses from the owner in a bad attempt to remedy the situation, feel free to hire them.

The building was clean, the staff was very friendly. I only needed the storage unit for a short period of time. When I went to clear out my unit, my belongings smelled of some kind of pesticide. I had to throw away a lot of my things. The manager assured me that they did not spray the units with pesticides but she offered to give me the forms to make a claim. For this primary reason, I would not rent from them again.
