I had rented units at this location almost continuously for 14 years. Never had any problems, until Stephanie showed up. I had someone rent a unit in their name for me that I paid for. I told Stephenie approx. when I was moving out and when I would pay the bill. She spoke to me at the unit 3 or 4 times, and knew the property in that unit belonged to me and I was the one paying for it. Well, the person I had rent it in her name decided for whatever reason she didn't want to have it in her name any more. So she went behind my back and called Stephanie and said she would like her name off that unit. So Stephanie told her she needed to come down right now and sign something, which my friend didn't read and wasn't told what it was for. I go by my unit and I was locked out. I asked Stephanie why, and she said my friend didn't want me to have access to it, which was a lie. She locked me out because she had my friend apparently sign over my property to public storage, and auctioned it off three days later. So I rented a truck for $100 and drove down there the day after it was sold, not knowing this yet. And my unit was empty. A 10' x 25' unit full of my and another persons personal property. I asked Stephanie where's my property? She just said, go ask your friend, and wouldn't answer any more of my questions. As you can probably figure, I was pretty hot! I had stuff I had been paying to store for 14 years in there, plus pictures and just a lot of personal property. Plus another persons property was in there. Several Boxes of old family pictures, things that were her parents she was saving for her daughters that can't be replaced. And a lot of personal property that can't be replaced. I only owed 1 weeks rent. I was 4 days from paying the bill and moving it and showed up to do so the day after she auctioned it off. Stephanie, I haven't forgot about you. I have up to 3 years to take this matter to court. What you did is called criminal trespass and conversion of goods. You can't have someone sign over property to you if they are not the owner. And you knew the person you had sign that paper wasn't the owner of that property. Oops! You should read about the law pertaining to transfer of title of property, conversion, and criminal trespass. Because that's what you are guilty of. See you in court! I should have filed a police report. Grand theft also fits the description of what you committed. Not good Stephanie. I been meaning to get to this for a while. And of course, Yelp is not letting me log in. I have been a client of the O'Neil Belmont location for many years. Stephanie and the other staff have been great to work with. In fact, Stephanie has always been one of the constants of the property. I trust people like that and value feedback that she has provided about the market rate about how PS remains competitive versus other groups. Stephanie advises me of any upcoming changes, and I also know that she makes the rounds that all the units stay safe as they can. In fact, this location compared to other Bay Area PS locations is one of the safer locations. I have one in Santa Clara that I don't feel too safe as the front doors always seems to be broken and transient folks can come in and out when they want. San Carlos has a rolling gate which also adds to the security at nights / after hours. I have never noticed any trash or unkempt areas and I know in that area is clean due to the unsung heroes of San Carlos PS make sure our stuff is safe! When I say Steph makes shit happen for you, she makes shit happen you. From move in to move out, Steph made sure everything was taken care of. I booked a unit ONLINE at this location and they messed it up. Then, I met Steph and she asked me about what I had to move in and INSTANTLY knew I needed something bigger AND let me keep the 4th of July Promo they had going. Other places I've been to make you feel dumb, but Steph hooked me up with a better unit and everything fit PERFECTLY . Steph is like the Yoda of customer service. Always cool and calm, and helping people out. One time this guy came in being an absolute Sith, and I could tell he was full of it. Steph pulled some jedi mind tricks on him and he left super happy. During move out, I had literally less than 12 hours to move everything and Steph did everything she could to help me move out before my next billing date. I hate storage unit places, but if you ever need one choose this one. It's a slam dunk for sure. Talk to Steph is literally the Steph Curry of Public Storage. I Love My Public Storage and it's employees ! I used to have a unit at a different facility where I had originally met Stephanie So i was thrilled when having to move to Belmont i found her there ! The staff there are the best ! Theyve been so helpful with all their information, patience and understandind to my specific needs when i didnt even know what they were ! They offered great suggestions and ideas so as to releive my stress i was feeling over a very difficult move and for that I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL ! They are always pleasant, welcoming, and eager to help. I wouldn't trade them for the world ! So in closing I love my public storage ! I am new to this area and the Belmont Public Storage was near. Worst Mistake ever!! The lady Stephanie is the rudest person ever. Never seen such a lousy customer service. I think they are flying high because it is a Franchise. I don't know why Public Storage Corporate does not interfere. Because it is giving them a bad name. BEWARE!! Find a better place if you can. The only reason people come to Public Storage is because of the offers. This is given by the Corporate and not the Franchise itself. But the franchises hate giving discounts/offers. If you are in this area, please choose a different company and stay away from Public Storage. I recently rented a larger unit at the Belmont Oneill Public Storage. Stephanie was very helpful in helping me decide the best size for my needs, and her follow up was excellent. When I came in to rent the unit, Chris took care of signing me up. He was also very considerate and helpful even though he was also very busy. He explained all of the details of renting and using the storage units there and stopped by to see how the move was coming along with some suggestions on arranging the boxes. My experience was good and the service great. Above all, the personal attention made me feel safe and confident in my decision to rent keep my extra items there. For my storage needs Belmont PS is the best. It's the best because of one person, Delfina. She is the epitome of customer service and is willing to go above and beyond for her customers. It's the little things like sending me a reminder each month for rent payment. With my schedule I need all the help I can get and she provides it. She cares for her customers and that facility as though she is the owner. Public storage is blessed to have such a caring, knowledgeable and dedicated employee working for them. Chris and steph are just great I came in with my grandmother and she had so many questions , they were patient and answer so much . They were so happy and kind to help us out . Grandma doesn't like storage places she doesn't trust them but Chris and Steph Assured her that she was in great hands And that she had nothing to worry about at first she wasn't sure but the more she started to talk to them she knew they were great people and workers that she had nothing to worry about . Belmont Location: Stephanie is amazing! She is passionate about customer service and its clear about working for Public Storage. She really cares!! She explained the benefits of each storage space and how the system works. She provided recommendations that built a bond of trust. The property is well maintained and organized. Access is easy. I wanted to say renting a unit was easy thanks to Stephanie. She was quick on getting me through the whole process and went much faster than I expected.
