Property Manager was very kind and always helpful. Tony kept the place clean and is always very accommodating and understanding with the needs and request of all clients. We had to move due to the fact that the corporate office did not understand our dilemma of Increasing rate price. I am a very loyal customers for years but felt like they don't care about my business with them, they continue to just increase the rate at all times. I have been a loyal customer since 2022. Tony has cared for us to make sure our storage is secure and clean at all times and also help keep the rate we request to keep it but his request is not considered and not heard by the higher ups. Complete mess, had few storages here and used to be nice service. Someone broke into our unit which was on first floor drive in storage 424 because their gate was open during night time. I tried to cancel did not find anyone in facility. Called the number they kept on transfering different departments its complete mess. Its not safe and would not recommend it. read more

They are charging me a car note for the storage unit I've had for years. The price has been going up every year, now this is the highest price and I cannot believe what they are doing. this is highway robbery. First, I didn't get my first month for $1.00. So don't believe that. Second, no one loves being bombarded with requests to do surveys when they're OBVIOUSLY busy moving their stuff. I've only been a customer for two days and I was sold a $12.00 lock for $21.00 and asked three different times to complete a survey or leave a YELP! review. Oh and the access hours are whack. 9-5. If you need anything for work from your storage unit you're gonna be late. Or you'll need to leave work early the day before to pick it up--and that defeats the purpose of having a storage unit, doesn't it? read more

They need to learn how to thoroughly look at their surveillance before calling a brand new customer not even 24 hours and accuse them of stealing their carts. Then call back and say "sorry for accusing you, we look at the surveillance and someone did use the cart after you put them back". Very unprofessional. Would not refer this location. We rented this unit six years ago for parents' stuff. Put the Public Storage lock on it and two siblings kept the two keys (and marked them). No one's ever been back until today. When we went to open it, the key wouldn't fit. The Clerk On Site insisted we had the wrong key (it's identical to the Public Storage keys) and that "their system would show if we changed the lock and we would have notified you." After 4 hours of driving home to look for other keys, and to the sibling's house for a possible other key and finally paying $140 for a locksmith, when we opened the door, there was OUR OLD LOCK still attached to the OLD LATCH HARDWARE sitting on the floor in our unit. And it fit our key. We could tell the locks/latches had all been changed in all the hallways because you could see where the old latches had been removed. Update 2 days later: The General Manager called us to let us know that the OLD OWNER/MANAGEMENT had changed locks 4 years ago and sent everyone a letter. Obviously not a registered letter because we never received it and their system wasn't updated to show new locks were installed everywhere. The PRESENT MANAGEMENT has repaid us for the locksmith, and given us some restitution. The current manager was very understanding of the trouble this had caused us and wanted us to be satisfied with the outcome. He got to the bottom of what had happened before he came onto the job. read more

Liars work here. We moved my office and shop of 9 years and I rented 2 units. 1 in my friends name to take advantage of their move in special. In the course of moving we had a truck with possessions shorter than 8' because that was the posted height of the facility. When we drive under the height bar we hear a loud bang, and it turns out the door had been hit with our possessions because the staff their left the door down lower than 8'!! There was an employee there who instantly started to blame us for damaging the door. We got out and showed them they were responsible because they didn't raise the door all the way up. They wanted my friends insurance information and he refused, pointing at the obvious fact. We took pictures and finished unloading Shortly after we got a call from them where they hung up as soon as we answered. We received an email shortly after saying we were being charged for damaging the unit. They proceeded to lock our unit off so we could not enter and use the materials we had in storage. We called corporate. They declared we could ask for the video from the cameras and gave us Kim the district managers number. We called and left a message she never called back. The move took an entire month because my shop had so much in it, and we grind full time. One day I sent my son to the facility to speak to them about the issue with the unit that had been locked away from us, and the district manager was there. My 17 year old son put her on the phone where she lied and said she personally viewed the video, that she claimed I couldn't have access to unless I had a lawyer or an insurance company request it. My son stepped up after I talked to her and said if you have a video of us hitting the bar, why do I have pictures of our truck under the bar, with the door lower? It took me threatening to sue public storage for vastly more than I owed them, for them to finally waive the cost of the unit for the month they locked us out of the unit, because their staff are nothing but liars and cheats. I'll be moving out of this location post haste!!! read more

SCAM DO NOT COME HERE My mom got a storage here . She speaks only Spanish and the African American rude "manager" named Ron Holt.didn't explain to her that rent is due on the 1st of every month. He also charged her for a lock she NEVER ASKED for . It was already on the unit when she moved in. So when my mom moved out, months later the day she moved in, she was told she had to pay for the entire month . And Grace another manager said she must pay for the entire month. I will be contacting the BBB about this place. That must be illegal there are hidden fees no one tells you about. Ron I bet you hate your life , cause your treat people bad and you are rude, you're never going to get a better job because your have bad customer service skills and your over all an a**hole with no brain. Used this space in the last couple of days for some storage that should last about 2 years. The service on the front end is great. Ron Holt was very professional and his follow up was great. We reserved a space online and he called right away to follow up, and called again when we were running late from the time we told him we'd be there. He got us through the sign up process quickly and professionally. Awesome! Public Storage is notorious for raising rent after 6 months. I will state now that IF they raise my rate in the first two years, I'll simply move my stuff to a more convenient location for me. I live on the west side, and choose this space because it was close to where my goods were shipped to in the valley, and it was easiest to simply move the goods a few blocks to this space at this time. In the long run through, if they raise my rates I may as well move it to the west side so it's closer to me and more convenient. Also, if they raise my rates I'll come back on here to update my review and my rating. Here are a couple of things to watch out for: They want you to by a lock from them for $18. They have the same exact lock at U-Haul for $11, and you can probably get a lock for less at a hardware store. Their lock is a good one, and I appreciate that, but you can get a good one elsewhere for less. So bring a lock with you and save a few bucks. They have to "approve" it before you use it. They will work really hard to convince you that you have to buy insurance - they told me it was $11 for $3k and $15 for $5k. That's an additional $121 to $180 per year. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THEIR INSURANCE IF YOU DON"T WANT TO. Just keep saying something like "I don't want to buy your insurance, thank you." You'll have to say it about 10 times, but just stay with it. The space is fine. We did notice a cockroach on the main floor in the parking lot, but that's all we saw and we looked. The space is a good price compared to others in the area. They have over 700 storage spaces, so it's pretty big. You'll pay more on the first floor if you want it. This location is convenient due to the 405 freeway down the street, but it can get busy at times, with hours between - 6am and 6pm week days, and 6am to 5pm weekends - it's a bit of a bummer. I will say, the one thing that makes this place a 4 star location is its staff, especially Ruby and I believe Adriana (she drives a van to work)! Their abilities to handle customer service while maintaining a fair to excellent balance of quality control (within the office) make these two a great reason to rent at public storage on roscoe blvd. I want quick helpful solutions in my day to day experience at public storage and the two I mentioned earlier are getting it done. read more

Had my storage here for more than a year... Staff is great and very helpful especially the manager Ron Holt. Issues about the place is the steep/narrow driveway making it hard to maneuver trucks and limited parking... Also the rent price increase without notice and the hours of operation are shorter than other places making it inconvenient for people who go to work during the day. read more

I had found this location online. I needed a climate controlled storage and this location was the closest. I made a reservation online to hold it for couple days then I went in and checked out the place. Ron the manager was very knowledgeable about the facility and showed me two different storage spaces cause I wasn't sure which one would have worked for me. He was very helpful and funny which helped me to make my final decision to choose this facility. Any time I have been there he is very friendly and helpful. I really like that the parking area is covered and accessing the building is easy as well. I think I made a good decision to choose this place. Highly recommend it. read more

I know, you're saying "Why are you giving a Public Storage facility a five star rating?" Well, if it was a rating for the actual facility it wouldn't get more than two stars from me, but because of Ron the site manager, I bump it up to five stars. Public storage are not known for their fantastic service, they raise your rent like clock work and at some of them you can never find an employee to let you use a rolling cart or even get into the bathroom. Public Storage is just what it's name implies, it's for storage and NOTHING else (they don't even have garbage cans in their facilities). They generally offer a no frills service at market (or above) rates. I've been in and out of many different Public Storage facilities over the years, and I rarely come there from a place of joy, like most of the customers, you're there because you have too much stuff and can't bear to part with it, just yet. As a chain, Public Storage is generally okay at best, but like I said before, this particular branch stands above the rest due mainly to Ron Holt, the site manager. He knows his job and helps you get thru the setup with ease. He's there when you need him and happy to help in any way that he can. He's a pro all the way across the board, so if this ends up being the PS closest to you when you realize you need more room, I would recommend that you make sure you visit this space when Ron is working, otherwise you may be very disappointed. read more

A long overdue review of this waste of money storage facility. There are plenty of other storage units available in the area, I suggest you go to any of them and avoid this place unless you want to be treated like crap. Two people in particular were the absolute worst to deal with. There was a mgr present at the desk at the time who spent most of the day sitting on the computer on the internet/looking at phone and barely offered any help to the customers waiting. The next person who was the most awful person to ever grace this planet was some lady named Shainey. As we were loading our belongings into the unit she was pushing us to hurry out as they were closing. She kicked closed the doors in the stairwell to lock us out from getting to our unit which was still left wide open. We asked politely if we could go back upstairs to lock up the unit and she said we would need to come back the next day to do so. Her lack of customer service skills is what makes me NEVER want to come back and use this facility again. read more

Ron was very helpful as we set up our unit. Got in with no issues (yes, the steep driveway is dumb....a different company owned it before PS...not their fault), but the parking area to actually unload is covered...nice on a hot day. The unit was exactly what we needed and was clean. No light inside (again, the prior company didn't install any), but there's more than enough light from the hallway to see where I'm putting stuff. We've only been in for a day, of course....and we haven't actually put anything in yet, but we need a place to store stuff, not an ego stroke. read more

After arriving, my dad and I met with Mr. Ron Holt... What can I Say, RON IS THE MAN! Ron was very friendly, kind, and helped us get started. Exceptional customer service can be hard to find these days, but Ron is a hidden gem and will be happy to take care of you. Ron even followed up with a phone call within a week to ask if I had any concerns and ask how the move was. I felt comfortable knowing my things were safe & secure. I moved my stuff out yesterday, but would highly recommend The Public Storage on Roscoe blvd for its convenience, and superb customer service with Ron. read more

Their hours are terrible. They raised my rent 20% every year without notification (even though the contract says they will notify you by mail 30 days before an increase). Moisture creeped up through the concrete and several of my belongings now are damaged. When I notified them in advance that I would be moving out on a specific date, the employee said great, we will pro-rate your rent when you are moved out. I moved out on the 6th. I called corporate and the facility about my rent refund and was told they do no pro-rate rent that has already been paid per corporate policy. They ask you to leave a positive review on move-in before they have had a chance to be dishonest and cheat you out of money, so I wouldn't pay too much attention to all the 5 star reviews of this facility. read more

Well... when I moved in, they wanted to set me up for a price that implied they were selling me a miserable lock for $25. Obviously, I went and bought a lock. But then I already knew that they try anything immoral to get more money from you. Then, after moving out, they erased my online account, and didn't refund for the rest of the month. On their words they "prorate only on the first 10 days of the month". If not, you pay the whole month. They definitely are the worse at communicating with the customer, and there are always hidden fees. Stay away from Public Storage. Anywhere. They are borderline scammers. read more

same issues as other reviews below ,I stayed only 7 days in July 2014 but was charged for a full month and calling them you get " we will verify and call you back" and they never get back to you. Their rent increase is significant every 6 month about 25% . there is a steep incline in front of the facility which is a problem for large trucks.
