I love my storage space here. It feels like my own garage with the freindly service I receive here. Mark is a Gem. A good person that has a big heart. He has to putting up with me. I'm a mom, wife, buisness owner and rushing at times 99% of the time so I lose my keys or whatever the case is he always answers phone. I feel supported in being a new buisness owner here knowing I'm safe, my items are safe and it's just always a pleasure to enter the gates at this location. Your definitely not a number here! Your a person! Love this place also because aisles are big enough to support a two way traffic jam if it ever happened which honestly it's a smaller lot that feels private. Everyone here is very respectful. I have times where I have to go in the evening for work to grab an item and it would normally be Eerie at other locations I've rented from being a female and all and it's quiet and your alone in a storage at night but I never feel scared here because I know I'm safe. I have been using this public storage for over three years . ive never had any problems. I think this is the best storage in the valley very clean , affordable and most of all Kathy" the nice lady that works an lives on the property makes sure there isn't any thieves tampering with your unit because she an other staff drive around the property hourly checking uints.On several occasions ive forgot to lock my unit an i was given a personal call to address the issue, that's cool"5star service! read more

Wow! The gentleman Darren who helped me with my U-haul truck rental was beyond amazing! (I hope I remember the name properly) Super nice guy, all my questions were promptly answered, he got the truck ready for me in the morning in front of the lot, I didn't have to drive it around. He also asked me to return it to the front of the lot & he took care of it in the morning next day. I was late 20 mins in returning the truck that evening and the system automatically marked it as 2 days of rental doubling my charges. Daren took care of it the next day when I called him for help. I setup my order online and that experience was smooth as well (except the returning part) so to be safe if you need a truck for one day - just put 24 hrs - no charges per hour) Thanks again Daren / Golden State Storage / U-Haul ! read more

I called and reserved a 10ft Uhaul and by the time I got to pick up it was already given to someone else ,(this happened at the same time of reservation) Darren and his where super sweet and very helpful, they apologized and gave me a 15ft truck for the same price for the inconvenience , their facility is very clean (inside and out) even their restroom. Darren explained to us how the rental works and took his time with us, the truck we took was also very clean. Mike and Golden State Storage have turned the nightmare of moving into a dream of convenience. They are also a U-Haul rental and return location. There is an Arco gas station a few blocks away. By checking in on Yelp you earn a lock that is of $10 value. One is able to drive directly up to their storage, even the small units. Most of the LA self storage have elevators and/or are indoors. Nobody wants to move anything heavy around more than necessary. Save yourself time, money, and back by going to Golden State Storage. read more

I have a student at the college nerby and need a smt place bto keep her dorms stuff while on break. Cathy the manager welcomed my daughter and I to the property. We advised her our need and she showed us what would work for us. She was very accurate on the size and how much stuff we can fit. Cathy showed us the Unit. She was patient with us and very nice. I encountered a problem (which I won't go into) and the managers stopped me as I was leaving, apologized and told me they would take care of the problem and that they were sorry it happened. Wha? Someone actually doing the right thing? Wow! I'm impressed. I will stay there because they righted a wrong. Their prices are reasonable and someone is on the premises 24/7. DO NOT go with this storage company. I moved to france 2 years ago and trusted this facility with my stuff. I am a busy successful freelance entrepreneur who often pays late because of my schedule- and with living in a different country and the time difference its hard for me to keep up. I came back to california last month to empty my space and pay up throughout the month of feb. They sent me one invoice that said one thing- and I kept in contact and fully came in person to PAY THAT. that receipt included all of their late charges and the lock cutting fee as well as the prelien and rent throughout Feb. The total balance was 478 or something like that. I came in and looked these two in the eyes saying i came to pay balance. Money is not an option to me. I started moving stuff out with the intent of being out by the end of the month. They told me I was paid up. I am often "in a rush" and don't read the fine print. This was my mistake. They gave me a completely different changed receipt with a total of 468 (so the number was similar but changed) and charged me for misc charges I have never heard of that "are in my contract" but excuse my french why in the WORLLLLLDDDD wouldn't you have included those in the original invoice??? Then I receive another invoice for another month when I thought I had already paid up. They are scamming people through the fine print and taking advantage of people that pay late and have money. Go with public storage or a corporate company. I am taking legal action against them because I am sure they have scammed more money from me than this. read more

If you have to empty out your house cause your having a charity fundraiser for the mayor and you want your things out of the way for such an event, then GS Storage is the place to consider for your storage needs, either temporary or long term. It's a good ol' fashioned business with good ol' fashioned friendly customer service. Dianne and Darren and all the office crew are so easy to deal with and are mucho helpful. I ask a LOT of questions and all were answered politely and we ended up having an altogether nice conversation. They are very organized and efficient. Check out might they have a special. Of course, read all paperwork you sign so there are no surprises. I am a big believer in that!!!! The units are not climate controlled. Access is daytime hours and closed on major holidays, just so ya know. They offer van and truck rentals which worked out good for me. The best part is that they MAY give you a "heads up" (courtesy phone call) just in case you may have forgotten your payment date (you don't want that late fee). read more

I needed storage for 18 months and they had the best prices with none of the BS fees the others charge such as set up fee, and mandatory insurance monthly fee.
