The facility was filthy, and my storage unit was infested with both roaches and ants. I was initially attracted by the "first month free" promotion, but that turned out to be misleading. Since I moved in on May 10, the "free month" only covered the remainder of May. Then I was charged $398.93 on June 3 and $478 on July 3. Those prices are outrageous for a storage unit with a pest infestation and poorly maintained grounds. I recently transferred my belongings to a different storage facility that is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, while unloading, I discovered ants crawling on my boxes and roaches inside the U-Haul. That confirmed the pests had come from the Public Storage unit. Before I could even leave my new storage facility, I had to spend additional money on ant and roach traps in the hope of preventing the infestation from spreading to my belongings. The entire experience was incredibly upsetting. I actually cried before leaving because I felt so violated. It makes me want to throw away everything I own because I no longer feel confident that my belongings are clean. No one should have to pay hundreds of dollars a month to store their possessions in a pest-infested unit. For the amount this facility charges, customers deserve a clean, well-maintained, and pest-free environment. read more

Also, numerous times that we stopped by the office no one was there and they were not onsite at all as we called PS headquarters to get a contact phone number for the site management. read more

I don't recommend. This is the first storage unit I've ever had and now I see why you don't go cheap. The app that yoI use to get in and out of the gate pretty much never works upon entry, but it always works when you're leaving. My unit has disintegrating concrete in front of it so whenever I use my little cart to get my stuff in and out, it's constantly getting jammed and my things fall over which is really annoying. And then what really made me realize I wanna get my stuff out of here as soon as possible is that I got an email the other day saying "thank you for moving out". I never moved out !! obviously that sent me into a panic. I wasn't able to get to my storage unit for about five days after receiving that email and during that time I had to call twice before someone finally got my account reinstated and thankfully all my stuff was still there. read more

This storage place is committing fraud they have shopping carts outside and if you have a ripped bag and use the cart they tell you that you have one week to remove your belongings and leave. I will be sueing for this so it's no issue . It's also full of roaches no joke literally hundreds of roaches and I only had my stuff in there for a couple days. Also the manager invades your privacy every time you go to your unit they follow you and literally look inside stay away from this place terrible experience. I definitely would not use this site again. First, the lady who checked me in was not very friendly (which is fine) but when I asked her to put her mask on all the way as it was below her nose, she got upset and said she had asthma. I understand this, but we are in a global pandemic and if I am being forced to do a transaction inside a small office with you for over 20 minutes, the other person should be wearing their mask all the way. When I received my unit, I immediately noticed the sliding hinge & lock were a little off, but it didn't seem too bad at the time, just old. However, when I moved out, the panel pushed into the unit completely and I realized that anyone could have gotten in there at any time. This place is in dire need of a revamp not only for cosmetic but for security reasons as well. I'd go to a newer facility. read more

Come to find out that after all the heat for my things being gone from storage when it was with a lock they put in, the manager still works here. I'm going to investigate things on my own and get to the bottom of how and where and who took my things. From reading other reviews sounds like their cameras aren't even plugged in. However, no sign of break in and the site manager definitely had keys to these locks on her when I went to regain possession of my units. So even after knowing that the process they advertised to me (only regional manager has keys and he's not on site) no measures were taken to fix the problems. This place doesn't deserve an update of my previous review, rather a whole new one. read more

I have used many Public Storage units before and this one is the worst yet. I almost went through the trouble of moving my stuff to another storage facility, but then moved homes and just vacated the unit. Here is why this facility has earned very bad reviews: First the Good: 1. The units are clean and do the job. They stored my stuff well for 2 years and I didnt have any issues. 2. Move out process was easy and smooth. The Bad: 1. Sheila was EXTREMELY rude. The lock to the hallway was broken and when I asked her about it she said they knew it was broken and had no plans to fix it. There are 2 entrances to the hallway, so I was able to use the other, but unfortunately my unit was right next to the broken door/lock. On move out - about a year after I reported the lock was broken, I noticed it was fixed and also havent seen Sheila there again. 2. No moving carts at this facility. The other Public storage units I have used had ample moving carts which are really helpful. I wont forget to ask for those again. So, really the main issue is customer service here was bad. If Sheila is still working there I wouldn't rent from this facility. I like Public Storage as a company though and the move out process was smooth. read more

I really didn't know if this location was going to work for me but it has ended up being a really convenient option for me. They open up early for early birds & shut the gate at 9pm. So if I want to stop by to grab something later in the evening I don't have to worry about no access in the gate, which is very helpful. I store a lot of furniture that I refurbished and I get wild ideas often so it's nice to be able to have access to it right off Pacific Hwy. I don't worry about security or anybody sketchy being there because they keep a lock code gate and they have lots of security cameras on deck too! Very nice staff & decent prices! There's also homeless people living around the facility. Construction trucks constantly blocking the entrance to the main entrance gate. Units get broken into as well and you won't get reimbursed. But if you know that's ridiculous and they're going to charge you the standard cost or somewhere close to it then it does come out to be like "No Deposit", which I believe is more accurate. As far as this location, the staff is amazing! Fast, Friendly, and knowledgeable. The lol don't seem to secure on the interior doors, but the full size garage door type is ok if you need that much space. Would not recommend this location! For the bigger part of my rent with them I couldn't get a lamp bulb changed, that tells you about their costumer service. Plus they rarely answer their phone, so it's hard to get hold of someone. At my cancellation they've charged me another month fee, after talking to their district manager got his - go and f* yourself typo answer, decided to leave up to Google review to evaluate their service. i have been a customer here for over a year and i was there the other evening cleaning out a bunch of things I've been storing there. i was all done and when i went to start my truck, my battery was dead, it was only about 830pm, i called the office to see if they could help me out with a jump start. i know the office closes at 6pm and the facility closes at 9pm, I was hoping they would call me back and assist me b4 they closed for the night. i never received a call back from the office, instead they called the police department and reported an intruder on the premises. I CANNOT BELIEVE that instead of contacting me to tell me they were not going to help me, they called the cops and reported me as an Intruder. I'm so pissed off. I'm up to date with my payments and I pay on time 0 about 80% of the time... Great storage facility, unless you're in a jam and request assistance.... If anyone else has been charged the higher rent without enough legal notice which is 30 days by the state of California it is illegal they have done this 2 hundreds of people including myself, and then when asked for that paper that they say they sent 30 days in advance they never provided it even though I said for emails before the due date, then they charge me a late fee because I was late due to the fact they never sent me the proof so they made me pay the increase in the rent even though they did not show me proof that they said a copy of this to me which is 30 days I received June 12th for July 1st that is not legal in the state of California they then charge me a $15 late fee just to make a payment not including the late fee and the rent increase my cost went from $63 to $109 in two weeks without due notice without legal documentation? Their contract in itself is not completely legal and they have 30 pages of it which no one tells you to read when you go in there did you say Sign Here sign here it's just stating your renting the unit month by month not all the illegal Clauses they think they can sneak in there and will be legal because you initial them if it is constitutionally illegal it is illegal these guys are not a country they are not above the law and they must be held accountable in every area that they have neglected purposely and damaged people and cause great harm by stealing people's valuables in heirlooms and selling them just for the money when they tell the customers that they can get it back if they come in and when they come in with the money they make excuses as to why someone's not there they have to come back when reality is they want to move the property and sell it the next day while someone is there with $500 to pay for it they would rather sell it to get a little extra money please put reviews on Yelp government state and federal agencies that will follow up 3 + 2 the bullying and stealing and lying and total disregard for safety and legal process of doing business! Absolute terrible service. My storage unit and another next to me were broken into last night. Thank heavens nothing was taken. However the other unit's person said that a few years back at this location, the same thing happened, the lock was repaired, and the following night they broke in again and emptied her entire unit. Now, the manager here, Sheila, is saying that they will have the door jam repaired but after that there is NOTHING they can do. Although they initially told me "24 hour" survailance, she now says they don't film the hallways and have no way of knowing what happened. I have called the police but I can't move my stuff today. I don't know what to do. And manager Sheila has no regard. read more
