08-Dec-2025 My wife and I have been customers of A-1 storage on Morena for about 4 years now and from the first contact I feel this has been a great company. We have a small business and needed a decent amount of space to store our inventory. The sign up is pretty simple. The hours are reasonable, and the best part is how easy it is to move in. If you pay close attention you may find a larger space for cheaper monthly fee when they become available. Just ask the front desk. Although the units are not temperature controlled, the temperature doesn't fluctuate too much, so it's fine to store art or things that are sensitive to moisture inside. Each unit is very clean, the halls are clean and I've never even seen a fly inside, so rodent/pest control is on point. Also, customer service this November and December has been amazing! I went in to ask a simple question and ended up changing to a larger unit. My larger unit has a loose handle and it was fixed asap. I'm happy with this storage facility. DO NOT USE A-1 STORAGE!! Started renting a unit here 9 months ago at $99. A few months in we get notified that our monthly premium was going up to $150. Just got hit with another increase and it's now $170 a month. Unbelievable! Do not rent here. read more

Note that A1 will jack up your rate by 15 to 20% after 2 to 3 months of you being there. They assume that you've moved your stuff in and you're too lazy to move your stuff out after they jack up your rates. This happens not only here, as it did to me, but it has happened elsewhere. Just be sure to add 20% to the monthly rate on their website because you will be paying the advertised rate plus 20% after the second month. I would like nothing more than to see the state of California pass a law saying that storage units cannot raise the rent within the first year. Let's write strongly worded letters to our state senators and local officials asking them to do this. read more

I got called out by yelp and their manager flag my honest review about my experience therefore I am rewriting. I called another location (hotel circle) to check on some things that I can and cannot do with the unit. I called this location (morena Blvd) to see if there are available units because I feel like this one would be a better location. Then I was accused of something based on notes they had when I talked to the Hotel circle location. This felt like an invasion of privacy because they wrote down things I didn't do and haven't done. Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a heads up that your calls are being written down and they don't tell you this prior to doing it. read more

1 word - AMAZING! Here's the back story, we are separating from the military. We're about to move cross country. We leave in 6 days. If anyone reading this knows about the military, you know it's a true struggle! Anyway, we're supposed to leave next week, but we haven't received orders so the military won't allow us to schedule movers even though we're on LEAVE (if ya know, ya know) ANYWAY, we had to move our stuff into storage. It's literally only going to be there for like 2 weeks, pointless. I know! So as frustrating as it is to have little set backs, EDSON at A1 storage was sooooo HELPFUL!!! He was so kind & patient. He answered every question we had, he was professional & polite. He was so amazing!!! He said it was his third day employed & man oh man, I think he deserves a RAISE already! He was wonderful. Ok, had to move the BF into a storage unit recently and had a bitch of a time with another company, Public Storage. There employees were not at all helpful or accomodating, which I would usually chalk up to corporate policies that don't give peons any authority to 'think outside the box', BUT, we actually got a manager on the phone who was no more helpful. There we were, with a 20 foot truck full of stuff on a Sunday afternoon, with the BF booked on a flight across the country the next morning, desperately looking for a storage unit when we came to A-1 storage. The staff were very nice, and managed to get our lease signed in one eighth the time Public Storage claimed it takes to do the paperwork. The biggest company is not always the best, and customer service is priceless, even when it's something as mundane as storage. read more

Needed a small closet to store my extra "stuff" recently and went with another company as it was cheaper and closer to home. Didn't take me long to figure out that their storage was insecure, their business practices sketchy, and their staff condescending. Checked out A1 storage and there were several options near by Went over and looked at the one on Morena and was assisted by the lovely Elizabeth. Very assured on the lack of breakins and losses one would experience at the facility. It is beyond clean, bright and safe. I have used a lot of storage units over the years. This one is very good. The front office people are buttoned up and efficient. I like that you have to enter in a security code to get into the building and then you have to enter it again to call the elevator. I appreciate the double level of security. The *one* thing I wish they would do is put a sign in the hallways with the numbers of the units in each of the rows. It would save a lot of time trying to find the unit! Otherwise, a safe, clean and secure facility. read more

5 star storage facility. For 2 years now its Always clean and easy to access anytime and also pay your bill anytime. They have a bill pay atm type machine out front so if you cant for whatever reason pay online then that is also an option. Key pad access for the sections and get your own lock to lock up your stuff. Getting the unit was super easy and fast. The nice girl behind the counter was very patient and showed me how to use the lock I bought for the unit. I was able to access my stuff 24/7 with no issues and moving out was a breeze too. The only downside was that there appeared to be 1 or 2 individuals who may have been using their units for purposes other than for storage but they kept to themselves. Just dont go alone at night if you're a girl, just to be safe. read more

A1 has really easy access and great customer service. There are no gate entrances with strange hours, it's right off of the 5, and there's even a kiosk to assist you if it's after business hours. I showed up on a Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, in need of securing a storage unit that day, and Elizabeth went out of her way to show me a unit and get me signed up even though she had just clocked out for her lunch break. I was oblivious to the fact that she was on her way to lunch just as I was walking in the door, until she mentioned needing a moment to clock back in (after she had been helping me for almost 30 minutes). Elizabeth provided great service, answering all of my questions, and not rushing through the process even though she was probably starving and I could have used their automatic machine to obtain a unit. In addition to the great service I received, the storage facility is clean and well-lit, and I the long access hours are a big plus for me. read more

I would recommend A1 storage to anyone! I actually had an issue with a neighboring orange storage facility being rude and unaccommodating so, panicked, I decided to call somewhere else. A1 was soooo friendly and helpful. They got me into a storage unit after 6pm with their easy to use kiosk. Really professional and well kept. I have never stored anything and we have some nice new furniture that we want to keep clean for our new house. When we arrived everything was above what I had expected which is a great feeling of peace to leave our items! Great security and lighting. Easy to use systems, Brian and Elizabeth are great they even have a lock demo to make it easy to learn using the lock for the sliding doors. Highly recommend this place if you care about what you are putting in storage, and value easy simple transactions. Great when business put Costumer service first. read more
