I refer to this location as Pube-Licks. This is the most awful; congested piss you off kind of shopping experience. I live nearby so when I run out of something and am in dire need I suck it up; put on my game face and get ready for battle. At Pube licks you will encounter various sorts of persons that may crush you with their car due to medication, dementia or plain carelessness. Once I was even pushed into a shelf of feminine products by a strange man clueless as how to operate his motorized cart. I actually bruised. People do not say excuse me, please or any form of nicety to get to what they want. It is a free for all. The produce section is especially awkward when it comes to the amount of time some seem to spend "fondling" things to get just the right one. It is scary here. Ok- so I would normally not review a Publix, but when I saw this Publix on Yelp, I needed to give me two cents. It is probably the worst Publix ever- and I am an avid Publix shopper. It is so congested and everyone is so slow, I feel myself getting older during any shopping experience here. Yesterday I had a terrible customer service experience I will Never go back to this Publix again. While standing in customer service line to get a money order my dog was crying because he wanted to get down. I was approached by store manager Jose Gotopo and customer service manager Mrylande Joseph and they questioned me several times if my dog is a service animal I explained to them he is a service animal. The store manger Jose Gotopo said he is not and told the cashiers to not assist me and told Mrylande Joseph to call the cops. At this point I was in disbelief because what was happening to me so I de-escalated the situation by leaving the store and went to Winn Dixie which is located right across the street, where I was greeted, my dog did the same thing of crying and NOT one Team Member approached me, thank you Winn Dixie. I been going to this store for about 3 years and I brought my dog here several times where he acts the same way a few times and I was never questioned about my dog. This was a terrible experience and I will not ever come back to this store AGAIN. read more

I do love Publix but this has to be one of the worst. Rude people, a lot of rude employees, and long lines for everything regardless of the time of day. This place is packed from the time it opens to 11 when it closes. Everything is stocked well but the lines are ridiculous. The place is a madhouse. What a shame that a company as large as Pubix can't manage to keep their HiGi machines working. It's been over six months and I can't find one anywhere and I'm sick of complaining to the Chief Pharmacist who is supposed to monitor such things. That's why I come in here; it's certainly not for the produce that is almost always rotten when I get home and open it up or the milk that goes sour in three days or the frozen, farm raised fish that they thaw out and sell as fresh or the really disgusting and overpriced wine. They don't pull that stuff at the store in Palm Beach; why do it here? I'd give it no stars if I could and didn't hurt the feelings of the very nice help (they are all good), but they have a corporate rip off mentality I'm sad to say. This public is my favorite in the area. The supermarket itself is always clean and the items are always on the correct shelf. If I need assistance the staff is always there to help. If I can't find something or don't know which aisle a product is they will happily walk me over to it. The downside to this Publix is that deli is always crowded and it takes forever to get your meat or sandwich. The problem is that there isn't enough staff at the deli that actually take orders most of them are just back there chatting. I tend to go early in the morning to avoid this problem! read more

I love publix subs! But I've never used the "easy" online order. Today my dad and I wanted to order online so I could go pick it up along with a couple groceries. It was to be ready at 3:30, I got to Publix around 2:25 so I decided to pick up the couple of groceries on my list first. When I returned to the deli it was about 3:40, they weren't ready yet. There was another lady also waiting for her online order for 3:30 that wasn't ready yet, she received hers first about 15 minutes later. At around 3:58 I finally received my subs, and they forgot to even give me the cups for the soft drinks as we had both ordered combos. They then give me the cups failing to mention that the machine is out of order so when I go to pour the Coke, the liquid is flying out everywhere. The same occurs with all of the soft drink options. There was a sign on the machine but it said that only the ice machine was out of order. Since there was no drinks and the stickers were already printed, I had to get new stickers printed without the combo price included. All of this to say, next time I will just get in the damn line. I only put two stars instead of one because there was a worker there who was very helpful in getting the stickers reprinted and I know it can be very busy in the sub line! read more

I knew something was up with this Publix. even the parking lot was a mess. To me. This is apparently a much older Publix. Maybe like the third or fourth one built lol, by the looks of it. Just kidding but it wasn't a new Publix that I'm used to but hey all of them can be new right!!?. Anyway as soon as I walked in to me it was somewhat chaotic . It was a lot of people and it also was a lot of workers here and there. I found what I needed but even the card section was lacking. Eventually I went on the other side of the store and ordered a cake. The lady was very very nice. A worker also asked me if I needed help. The Publix Pharmacy staff in Hallandale is always professional and courteous. The Pharmacist Angela and the entire staff are helpful and always busy. My mother had the two covid-19 vaccines administered there and every step of the way was handled smoothly. From me booking the appointment online to checking in with the rep assigned to check in patients and the process managed by Angela and the staff all doing their part made it a smooth pleasant process. read more

Yes, you have to deal with the old people leaving their carts in the middle of the aisles, but this Publix isn't as bad as the last reviewer made it seem. Their selection is decent, although their vegetable selection is pretty paltry. They have a decent selection of Kosher meats. Check-out was fast and the service is decent. I just moved to Hallandale and my experience here was super rude once I got to the cash register which is why I am giving one star because that's tHe most important place for customer service !! Specially when I was right about my purchase and she made a mistake . The lady's name was "VICE" white wavy long hair older woman , she scanned an item that was 3 for $5 (SILK YOGURT) and I tell her that information in a soft spoken way , she goes and she already looked around like nervously and opened up the publix magazine to see if it's there and she asked me did you see itt on here or on Sunday news or something? I say it's a sign in front of the yogurt in the isle . So she looks at the bagging lady with attitude and opens her arms wide big saying Iam obviously making a big deal out of this so can you go check for me, so tHen just stand quiet aNd she's complaining the whole time like "gees this gees that " and finally the girl comes back and vice asked her is it true yes or no , the girl says yes and I ask was that a big deaL mam ? Horrible experience with the deli. Ordered online two platters for a party the next day. Came to pick it up on time and it wasn't ready. It wasn't even set to be ready for the correct pickup time. I had to come back to pickup the platters after the party already started. The service was bad made us wait forever and got the order wrong. Give wrong sauce and wrong bread , and cheese . If I could give this store a negative star I would!!! My mother in law was checking out at a register with A cashier by the name of Irene. She advised the cashier that she would be paying with food stamps and was going to swipe her card the cashier responded by saying it's because of people like you that I'm voting for Trump. You people use food stamps and I have to work while people take advantage of the system and live in luxury. My mother-in-law stayed very calm and just replied excuse me?? This Irene cashier then continued to nag my mother-in-law about her using food stamps and how everyone takes advantage of food stamps. She then stated that this is why she's voting for Trump because the lady who works next door does the same thing comes in and buys food with stamps. This Publix is always crowded. You encounter rude people all the time (not so much the employees but the shoppers themselves.) However, they are well-stocked and have a good selection of meats and produce. Their prepared meals and desserts are also very good. I'm a Publix fan and this is a convenient location for me but I have definitely been at much better Publix stores. Their biggest downfall is the congestion that is ever present there. People get a life. Sometimes the reviewers are the entitled rude people that push ahead of you and are very impatient. You all will get older if you are lucky. I find kindness and respect lacking with the younger people. We shop at that Publix and if you show respect you get it right back. We find they have the best southern fried chicken we have ever had. Nice shopping center where you can fine almost everything you need for your daily life. Food, beauty, pharmacy, magazines and you can also buy from the pharmacy inside the center. The service is good, they can smile a lol bit more. If you want they offer service like money gram or western union. If you are looking for something specific you can ask people that works there and they ll be happy to help you the best they can. All kind of credit cards are accepted. Security is inside so you can feel pretty protected if something happens. Lot of cashiers plus the express line. read more

They approach you all on their own and offer to help you look for things you may need. They smile, and genuinely want to do their job.
