The food was amazing... The drinks were just as good and strong, and so was the vibe. They had live music. Some guy was performing all evening. Kind of reminded you of Chris Stapleton. And didn't know that we were actually had an agreement to split the tip. So that was kind of awkward. This was our first visit. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated promptly. Our waitress, Martha, took our drink orders as soon as we were seated and returned with them quickly. The menu is varied and has something for all tastes. Martha explained the specials of the day and she had me at " Chicken & Dressing". You can choose 1, 2 or 3 sides, all of which are very tempting. I went with mashed potatoes & squash casserole. My friends chose the Brisket Salad, which looked awesome, Fried Green Tomato BLT and Tennessee Brisket Steak sandwich. All received 5 stars. My wife and I travel to Chattanooga every year in September. The last two years, we've made a point to visit Puckett's. The breakfast buffet is EPIC. Every possible item of Southern breakfast, served in a beautiful room with hardwood floors, and the food is fresh and delicious. We've also visited during late afternoon. I have heard of Puckett's and had to stop. The ambience was great with rock & roll playing in the background. Very attentive service (Josh is great!) We were thankful Pucketts was open on our recent trip. So many things weren't open or operating at 50% and difficult to get in. We were excited about all the options on the menu as we arrived before breakfast ended but also in time for lunch! We had 5 adults and 3 kids in our party. I ordered the Bubbas Benedict skillet with a biscuit instead of potatoes. It's was good, although my eggs didn't really seem poached and more like fried. We got a cinnamon roll to share and try but it was hard and dry. The other food was ok but not something I'd give a tremendous rating for. Food was good, not great. Our biggest issue was with the hostess who was rude AF seating us. If not for my hungry nephews I'd have left after she gave us all a bitter beer face. The only saving grace to the day was we had a nice server...who poured tea onto my brothers food refilling our glasses. My husband and I ate at Puckett's for a friend's birthday dinner last night. **I advise calling ahead and making a reservation if you have a family or group** Our server, Robert, was kind and extremely professional. He genuinely seemed to care about how our table was doing. For appetizers, the table got fried green beans & fried pickles. The sauce for both was delicious. The fried pickles were better than the green beans, in my opinion. The pickles were sliced thickly which gave a nice crunch when you bit them. Yum! Before our entrees, many of us got salads. The house salad has a lot of onions in it, so be prepared!! For our entrees, I had the Cajun Chicken & Waffles--not spicy to me, but really good. This would be a good meal to split for two people OR to take home half to eat later. My husband had the PiggyMac, which he said was good, but he didn't think it was cheesy enough. Friends has the mashed sweet potatoes and REALLY enjoyed them! P.S. Birthday people were taken on stage by a "comedian" (I use that world lightly here). You could have done much better Puckett's. My wife's chicken was tough, my Ribeye was ordered medium but came to the table rare, i ordered but never got my house salad, I had to ask after a long wait for my drink. Get better or go out of business. That's my advise. There are to many good places to eat in Chattanooga to waste my money here. read more

We had an exceptional time at your restaurant last Thursday and Friday. This was our first visit to Chattanooga,TN, while visiting the Aquarium decided to have lunch at your restaurant. Our server Cassie was excellent and told us all about things to do in Chattanooga. One of the things she told us about was a country singer that was going to be at the restaurant on Friday night. Her name was Liz Moriondo, she was a talent that should be in Nashville, so good! That night our server Brandon was exceptional, what a pleasure! He introduced us to the manager Foster Yates who was so hospitable, never met a better manager. They both spent so much time with us through out the evening! Ate here over a year ago for lunch and it was great! However, we had dinner there this week and it was dismal. The first sign was that there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. Granted, it was also a Monday evening. While the personnel were friendly and accommodating, the food was one of the worst meals we've had in Chattanooga. The fried pickles were only ok. The queso was flavorless and the "homemade chips" tasted stale. Our entrees were so-so. The fried green tomato sandwich was pretty decent. However, the kids Mac and cheese was flavorless, and the smoked bologna sandwich had WAY too much mayo on it. We were told that the "upgrade" to substitute a Ceasar salad for a side was worth it, but it was honestly the worst Ceasar salad we've ever had. Very convenient if you are spending the day at the aquarium. I had the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and baked beans. The food looked great and the meat was tinder but the food was near flavorless. The meat lacked any kind of smoky or barbecue type flavor and the sides didn't deliver on flavor either. My wife had a salad and it was pretty basic and didn't have much of a flavor profile. We also got the fried pickles and other than the taste of the dill pickle itself and a little bit of flavor from the dipping sauce there was not much too them. The service was okay. First time eating here. Food was wonderful. Now about the service our waiter Josiah is phenomenal not only was he taking care of us he was also running the bar. He sure did not miss a step. The food was truly delicious though. Both my parents had the Bubba's Benedict and said it was the best breakfast they'd had since we got to Chattanooga (4 days ago). I got the Smoked Brisket Skillet and it was so flavorful and the brisket was super tender. My husband got the Memphis Omelet and devoured it. The atmosphere was super cool, part dive-bar-esq, part mom-and-pop restaurant. I think it would be a fun spot to go at night, sans the kiddos. But the service. SO. FREAKING. SLOW.
