As we were driving to Pigeon Forge from Savannah, I started Yelping restaurants in the PF area. I had one picked out but the family saw Puckett's across the street from our hotel and wanted to try it out, so we decided to go there. We arrived at 6:00 on a Friday night and thought for sure we would have a wait; we were so wrong. There was only one family in front of us in line to order (ordering is done as you walk into the restaurant then a server will bring you your food). We ordered a chicken tender platter with fries, a classic burger with mashed potatoes, a BBQ platter with a smoked sausage and a piggy mac. We also had drinks (we loved the size of our drinks!). Our food arrived at our table about 10 minutes after ordering; the order was correct and our food was piping hot. Everything we ordered was made to perfection and everything was very good. FRUSTRATING. This was one of the worst restaurants we've experienced. We went there because all of the other restaurants in town had long waits. Puckett's was half empty, but we still waited 30 minutes to get seated. We ordered, and then waited LITERALLY an hour to get served. The other customers was also looking around. We all wondered if the cook had quit. Then while we were eating, they roll these service carts into the dining room, and scraped and stacked the dishes right next to the customers *enjoying* their meal. If you're looking for some deep fried southern food, this is your place! The menu included several favorites. I ordered the fried smoked bologna sandwich. My wife and daughter split a BLT with fried pickles. That was plenty food for us all (the sandwiches come with sides). The portions are huge! The food was average - not terribly remarkable. It's not a traditional family-style restaurant. You order right when you all in the door. We both had chicken fried chicken, the plates were less than half full, I've never seen such small servings, even in fine dining restaurants that sell "small plates" the chicken was more of a larger chicken tender (single piece) than a chicken breast. It was on top of a very small spoon of mashed potatoes and a sprinkle of gravy over it. The side dish of broccoli was cold. Neither of us liked the Cajun corn fritters that came with the meal, they were silver dollar sized pieces and we both tasted them & let them on our plates. Since we were in Tennessee, we went looking for BBQ for dinner. Based on fellow Yelp reviews, we decided to try Puckett's. Upon entering, they take your order and then you sit at a table and they bring the food. There was live entertainment in the evening to enjoy. We started with fried string beans which were very good. Interesting concept where you place your order with a cashier, get your own drinks and take a Number to your self selected table. A server brings your food and additional plates if needed. Cashier had already given us the dinnerware. Food portions were very large and served quite hot and quickly after we chose a table. Server checks back frequently to see if we needed anything. The place is decorated very well and is enjoyable. It was a little on the chilly side in the dining area and the restroom was downright cold. We had Puckett's Mojo Burger. It has slaw, baked beans, cheese, pulled pork, and BBQ ranch. The burger itself and the fries were great! Loved it! We always eat BBQ sauce with our fries and the sauce was just okay. It was very runny and very sweet. The spicy version. Is not spicy at all. We asked twice for the Coke Zero syrup to be replenished since it was out. It didn't happen before we left. I've been to multiple Puckett's and this particular one ruined the experience with the kiosk. I would usually have 2-3 beers with dinner but I didn't want to keep getting up to go to the bar. Food was very good. Once at the restaurant you walk in and order your food 1st then you are seated. This line was a bit long and time consuming. However, once we were seated the food came out quick. I even ordered the fried chicken and it said it would take a little longer. But it wasn't long at all. The chicken was very tasty(seasoned well) and hot. My daughter order the shrimp and grits with no bbq sauce. They forgot to leave the bbq sauce off but kindly correct her order. My sisters fried sticky ribs were very good as well. Different cheesesteak #110 in the last five years. I broke my own rule for the 2nd and final and got cheesesteak outside of the Philly area. I got the Nashville Cheesesteak. $12 and it came with a side. I paid the $2 for a premium side of mac & cheese. I loved the brisket, mac & cheese and sassy bartender. I liked the order and pay as you enter the building. I liked the cheese sauce. I ate the brisket out of my cheesesteak with my fork. The roll, cheese sauce and extras were very tasty the next day. Service was great, but make sure you know the drill. It's not ran like a typical restaurant. The sweet human upfront let us know what to do and even provided recommendations upon request. We started with the fried greenbeans. Then, I had the country fried chicken with fries and collard greens. (A bit salty over all), and hubby had the piggy mac(very creamy) more mac than piggy. I wouldn't recommend. We went in at 2pm on a Saturday. The place was nearly empty but we were told the wait was 30 to 40 minutes. That didn't make sense. Our food was not good. We ordered the pulled pork and macaroni. The pulled pork was mostly fat and inedible. Our waitress spoke to the manager about the food and told us they weren't allowed to trim the fat from the pork and had to serve it that way. She refunded our meal to make it up to us, but we were very confused why the manager didn't come speak to us in person. We believe the management of this place is subpar. read more

We ate there 2/14/2025 for lunch. Not a fan of ordering at the door, like McDonald's. Also not a fan of tipping before you even take a seat. I tip based on the service I get and don't like to tip beforehand, but when you pay at the door, there's a place to add a tip. The order came to over $42 before tip, for two meals with water. No other drinks. The food was mediocre at best. The smoked turkey plenty warm, it had a good flavor, but was dry. The corn pancake things were almost tasteless. I didn't even know what they were and had to ask. The broccoli had some black moldy looking stuff on it and when I told the bartender, she offered to get me some more. When I declined, she said she'd take it to the chef, but then took it right to the trash can instead. I wish I'd have taken a picture, but didn't. The coleslaw was pretty good as was the smashed sweet potato, although the potato needed some cinnamon and butter or something... it was just plain. My wife had a hamburger steak with gravy and mashed potatoes. She said it was okay, but also said to strike this place off our return list.. I agreed. We live here and like to try out places to take our guests when they come to town. Sorry to say we won't be taking anyone here. read more

My husband, my 3 year old and I were looking for a bite to eat after going to the outlets on Saturday night. We saw Puckett's on our way back in to pigeon forge and decided to stop. It was 6pm on a Saturday, and the parking lot was fairly empty. We walked in and saw the menu board where you order. At first we thought it was a to-go area but they informed us it was order at the counter. I ordered a burger with mashed potatoes, kids chicken for my daughter, and a pork sandwich with skillet Mac and cheese for my husband. The drink station was small and crowded. Mind you, this place wasn't very busy but I guess everyone was getting their refill at once. The soda selection wasn't great and my husband said the sweet tea tasted bad. The food came out in about 10 minutes. My mashed potatoes were hot on top and cold in the center which means they likely microwaved it. The burger was ok, but for the price I would have rather eaten a McDonalds burger. My daughter took a bite of chicken, spit it out, and refused to eat anymore. I took a bite and could see why...the chicken was so tough and not edible. My husband said the pork was just "ok" but again his side of skillet Mac and cheese was definitely nuked in the microwave. Most of it was cold. We spent $54 dollars on dinner and I would say it was wasted. We would not return to Puckett's or recommend to anyone. read more

Had serious doubts about the bbq, but it turns out both the brisket and pork were legit. Had the brisket cheesesteak, and I could distinctly taste the smoke, the bbq sauce complimented the cheese nicely surprisingly. Sampled the piggy mac and that was fantastic as well. Next time I'll just get a bbq platter because its a lot more calories drowning good bbq in cheese lol Just FYI...I was a little disappointed at first because as of this date they don't offer brunch.
