I had to get something so we sampled two of the teas that they made! tried white tea with lychee bits and black tea with peach bits! love how their drinks dont use artificial sugar its sweetened by fruit puree! since the macaroons and cupcakes looked good we decided to give it a try.. friend of mine got a thai tea cupcake and I got earl grey and nutella flavored macaroons. friend tried the cupcake and she said it had too strong of black tea flavor and she didnt finish the cupcake.. macaroons were very moist earl grey I didnt taste too much of its flavor but nutella one had nutella flavor to it.. My boyfriend decided to surprise me with some macarons, cupcakes, and egg puff from here. First thing, the green tea egg puff was delicious, even though it was cold and soft by the time we ate them. I was pleasantly surprised how you can taste the green tea, without it being overbearing. Macarons need a LOT of work. They weren't even complete circles/ovals. They were lopsided and looked like someone just made it at home. The macarons weren't the same sizes either. Also, hollow shells!! Once you bite into it, there's a big pocket of air inside the shell, no chewiness or softness. They need to work on their macaron baking skills, the price is not worth the taste. The red velvet cupcake was ok. Tasted like it came from the box mix. Nothing special. Overall, I would only come back for the green tea egg puff. read more

This place is relatively new but overall I really enjoy the ambiance of the place. It's a chill place perfect for studying that offer a great selection of foods and drinks. I ordered the egg puff which I have never had before but the way I can describe it is they are like a reverse waffle made into bite size pieces filled with selective filling of your choice. I ordered the thai tea egg puff with mochi filling and a kale kicker smoothie. The waffle was warm and soft and the mochi inside was nice and chewy. It's definitely a must try if you have never had one before. The kale kicker was very refreshing especially for these hot summer days. Delicious full of flavor, turkey was succulent paired with the apple slices (not your typical dry turkey) Watermelon smoothie was fresh from actual watermelon, as are all of the other fruits. If you want a quality fresh real fruit drink, this is the place to go. Staff is extremely nice and accommodating. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you have a welcoming experience here. For dessert we had the egg of puff which was down right amazing. I saw the mochi stuffed egg puff on someone's Instagram, and that's how I got sold into trying out this place. Here are my thoughts: What we ordered: plain egg puff with mochi, Thai tea egg puff with mochi, white tea with peach and strawberry purée, and a Jasmine milk tea. Pros: -I called in to let them know that I was coming in "last minute", and we got there 2 minutes before closing. They allowed me and my friend in with opening arms! -Customer service was on point by letting us sample some of their teas. -Egg puffs were pretty good, were filling with the mochi inside. Comes with condensed milk dipping sauce but I ate mine plain. -Teas tasted pretty light and refreshing with the fruit purée as the sweetener, and by not adding the artificial sugar crap. Came in during my lunch hour because I really wanted some macarons. First thought when I walked in was that it was a cute little bakery. However, their items on display were very limited which kind of gave me a feeling that this wasn't going to be a good decision. Ordered a box of 6 macarons. The sizes were very varied. Some macarons were bigger than others. When I took a bite, immediately fell apart. They were very airy and super sweet. Such a disappointment since I love macarons. They should probably try to fix their recipe somehow because the texture of their macarons is very poor. I got a tea fusion drink. Oolong with lychee and strawberry bits. I thought their tea was really delicious! Overall, if they can fix their recipe for their macarons to make them more firm and less sweet, they would probably get more business. Happened to come upon this place based on yelp reviews for dessert places nearby. They have the hong kong egg waffles here! And the best part, they come in a variety of flavors and fillings! I opted for the matcha green tea flavored egg waffle with a pork sung (meat floss) filling. The savoriness of the pork sung complemented the sweetness of the egg waffles perfectly. The matcha flavor was subtle but not overpowering. My only complaint was that the egg waffle wasn't crispy enough on the outside and no fluffy enough on the inside. I came in this morning to grab some lunch and to study a bit before I headed off to school. This place is so cute! I ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini, which includes rotisserie chicken, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and swiss. I got the lunch special which also includes a drink for under $10. The panini was delicious. I'm a fan of sun dried tomatoes and pesto, so of course I opted for this one. I thought the portion was pretty big compared to most cafes/bakeries that serve sandwiches. It's definitely bigger portions than Panera. I got the green tea with peach at regular sweetness and I loved it! I hate overly sweet drinks, I usually get 3/4 sugar at most places, but their level of sweetness was perfect for me. It's pretty spacious, with about 4 small 2 seat tables and 2 bigger 4 seat tables. It's really clean and you can see where they make all their drinks. I want to try their cute character macaron or even the thai tea cupcakes! I think this is a pretty great study spot! Luckily it's literally 0.2 miles from where I work. I didn't catch the person's name that helped me, but she answered any questions I had and was super polite. She even asked how my food was. After three failed attempts trying to get a Starbucks beverage, my husband and I stumbled across this delicious and quaint bakery :) today was our first visit and ended up only trying their tea, which was the "puffect" refreshment we needed for the heat! The girl was super sweet and patient as we asked questions and figured out what ingredients we wanted in our tea beverages. I wasn't too sure how much sweetener I wanted (which they make in-home, by the way) so the gal said she was willing to adjust after taking a couple sips of my tea. This place is a hidden gem! If I had to describe this place with one word, indescribable. When entering the facility you are greeted with a fresh scent of freshly baked macaroons. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're at home and the cheesecake, astronomical. I've been to 85 degrees, I've been to portos, I've tried them all but what keeps me coming back to this place is the owner, Cherie. I've ordered macarons from Puffect Bakery a couple years ago for my husband's surprise birthday dinner and everyone loved them. The consensus was it was good texture and not overly sweet like many macarons usually are. I really wish they were located closer to me as I'm in Pasadena. But recently I find myself going to pass by Walnut and noticed they were having a 24 hour sale on mochi donuts! I ordered right before the cut off time and was able to snatch 2 orders to distribute amongst my friends! Omg they were delicious!!! So happy this place opened walking distance from my house! I've been here a couple times, and I always wanna come back. It's dangerously convenient! It's a cute little bakery cafe that serves paninis, fruit teas, fruit smoothies, macarons, cupcakes, and recently egg puff waffles. They also make custom cakes/cupcake/macaron displays...just talk the the owner Cherie, she's so nice and accommodating! It's a new place, so it's constantly changing and evolving...I have a soft spot for these things. I've tried most of their macarons. The ones I remember being my favorite were green tea (tastes like green tea kit kats which I love even though I don't care for green tea), coffee, strawberry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, piña colada (seasonal), and cotton candy (seasonal Easter flavor). I've also tried their Samoa cupcake which is very good too, but not as satisfying as a Samoa cookie for some reason. Their macarons are "smaller" in the sense that they're the size that they're suppose to be (it's the size I've learned to make them, and to my understanding the French make them). Nowadays I see macarons double the size or tripled to be used for ice cream sandwiches. I don't understand the point...but I digress. I think what is really giving this place its name are the egg puff waffles! I had the Nutella strawberry egg puff, it was like crack. I definitely want to try all their other flavored waffles too now. Their fruit fusion teas are pretty nice too. My friend ordered a white tea with watermelon juice and strawberry chunks, which was probably my favorite so far. I also had a strawberry banana smoothie and asked them to add kale+spinach. Neither of our drinks are actually on the menu, they're just THAT accommodating to their customers! It's a nice place to grab a drink or pastry and catch up with friends. The macarons here are really cute. There's a wide selection but the more popular characters do run out fast so I recommend calling them if you want a specific one. It's another place like Honey & Butter in Costa Mesa but less popular. It's $3 for one character macaron and sometimes they look a little weird depending on the one you get. The regular macarons are $2. I got a box of 6 for $20 and my wallet cried a little after. It's worth getting some here if you don't have the chance to go to honey & butter though! The service wasn't the best, and half the cute macarons they have in display are not available, and are packaged in a tupperwear in their fridge. Character macarons are rare but they've got lots of them here! They have tea, drinks, cupcakes, egg puffs, and of course, macarons. Regular macarons are $2 and character ones are $3. They have small and large character ones too so not sure how the price differs there. Our group got a large Sully macaron which we turned into a macaron ice cream sandwich, some characters, green tea egg puffs with mochi, and a chocolate strawberry cupcake. Ice cream was very regular ice cream, but it was nice you could turn it into an ice cream sandwich. Cupcake frosting actually resembles the texture of butter instead of cream so it's a little harder, but it was strawberry frosting to match the chocolate cupcake and you could see the bits of strawberry inside! Macarons are pretty good too, but the egg puffs are what was interesting. If you get mochi, each "puff" has mochi inside which gets a little melted. You will then have chewy, mochi egg puffs (like mochi waffles at MJ Cafe) which were very yummy. Decor resembles a dollhouse, it's very cute and a great place to hang around and have some dessert. All the desserts look really nice and you should definitely stop by for those adorable character macarons! read more

So far i've tried all of their macaroons, i've tried their tea (the lychee w/apple, only b/c they were out of peach) I DEFINITELY PASS!!! Do not get this! I absolutely adore this bakery. I called in last minute for a specialized order of macaroons with writing "will you be my bridesmaid". I spoke to Cherie over the phone and she completed my order the very next day and put it in a cute box for me. They could tell we were a little confused when we came in and immediately asked they could help us with anything. I got 3 character macarons and 3 regular ones. They have some pretty unique flavors (green tea, lychee, etc.).
