Overall really good experience here! I came here on a Saturday afternoon in late January with 2 friends for some brews and noshes. We were told it was a 15-30min wait but turned out to be more like 10 minutes! We started with beers-the Amber Ale and Classic IPA were all very tasty and easy to drink. I got both the Classic IPA and the 20th anniversary one-loved that the hops of the 20th Anniversary beer hit at the end. Our server was very accommodating by letting my friend sample a few different taps before deciding on which pint. We also shared 3 appetizers which were all well done! I didn't have too high of expectations for food because it seemed like a general menu but everything was tasty and hot when arrived at the table. We ordered the potato wedges, spinach dip, and the mushrooms (I especially loved the flavor of the mushrooms). Would recommend all of those to start off and really generous portions which made it great for sharing for lunch. YUM!! The lodge feel made it feel warm and comfortable. There was not many ppl in there for the poor service. Host was very rude. Manager on duty and waitress was more worried about social hour. Meal a total screw up. Potatoes sat under heat lamp for hours, dried out. Steaks over cooked. Had to get up to request another round of drinks cause waitress didn't care to check on us. We stopped here for dinner as the resort we were at was not fully open yet for ski season. My sister and I ordered the Outlaw Stout beer which was dark and delicious. I ordered the Veggie Napoleon Sandwich without the mozzarella cheese. It was good albeit unwieldy to eat. My sisters each ordered the Chicken Margherita Flatbread and they practically licked their plates so I guess it was good! We came here several years ago and remember the food being great. However, our visit last night was less than impressive. Small serving sizes, fries were over cooked and my shepherds pie was tasteless and watery - as if it had been frozen and then reheated that day. The views were great. Overall I wouldn't recommend as there are many other great places to eat in the area. read more

This was a diamond of a lunch. We ordered the fish and chips all around the table x4 and it arrived within 10 min. All the portions were alike and Yes hands down is my top pick for fish and chips. I visited here for the second time. First was amazing and this time was terrible. After waiting 10 minutes to be greeted by the man to seat us we finally got a seat. Looked at menu for 15 minutes and finally server asked us for drinks. Order two beers, fish and chips and pulled pork sandwich. It took one hour to get our beers and food. Horrible. Awesome place for unique, local craft beer. Large variety but particularly liked their Bourbon Barrel aged brews. Pilsner was well balanced yet flavorful. Bartender Vance was pleasant, witty, knowledgeable and informative. Got a 52(?) ounce insulated jug to go. Definitely returning. read more

I ordered a medium-rare burger, a friend ordered salad with steak done medium. Hers came out well done and my meat had almost no pink to it. C'mon, fundamentals! This was on a quiet evening after 8, so there should really be no excuse for execution. My burger was pretty uninspired, piled with assorted precooked items. The thin bacon strips had almost no flavor and gave the impression that it had been slowly wasting away under a heat lamp for a while. All served on a generous heap of heavily salted fries--classic bar move to get you to buy more beers. Speaking of beers... As a brewery: I had a pint of the Pack Iron Pale Ale, which was advertised as an American Pale but was more like an amber. Pretty unassertive. read more

Ate lunch here a few weeks ago and looooved the baked potato stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. I added sautéed mushrooms, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream and it was marvelous. They forgot the sour cream and I couldn't locate our server, so I got up and asked someone else for assistance. The employee I found was very friendly and brought me a little cup right away. I also had a refreshing cocktail while soaking up the sun on the deck. My only suggestion would be that someone help larger parties with sitting in a way that helps keep out the sun a little bit more. The umbrellas weren't quite large enough for us, so I had one arm in the shade and one in the sun for most of our meal. Totally my own fault for not squeezing in around the table more, but I still thought it would have been nice if someone had asked and made sure we were all comfortable. read more

First time for dinner after a day of skating and skiing: I had the trout, hubs had the fish and chips (he's a fish and chips connoisseur since we lived in England). Son had the chicken tenders. The trout was the delicious, flaky, and not overly lemony/garlicky. Cod in the fish and chips was perfectly battered, crispy (not soggy or greasy) and flaky! Had been here before, and remembered it being a great place to unwind after a day of skiing! This time was no different! We arrived and were advised a wait time of 45 minutes. We grabbed a drink at the bar, and within 20 minutes we were called to our table! Our waiter was so attentive and professional, refilling water glasses we didn't even know were empty practically without us knowing! He made excellent menu recommendations, and I had the meatball sub upon his suggestion - which was delicious! The ribs and burgers were all tasty too. The beer selection is awesome. We ordered food for delivery. The main thing we ordered was the BBQ combo plate. It was dropped off an hour later...without the BBQ combo plate. Apparently it was out of stock but they made no effort to call us or substitute it whatsoever. We're now having to order from a different restaurant because we don't have enough food. We came here twice in the same day. before and after the Ice castles. We came for drinks before. picked a lovely seat by fire. We sat looked around and waited to be acknowledged. Ordered a Colorado coffee which was tasty. We came back after the Castle and sat at the bar. The service was much better at the bar. I had green chili and beet salad. Green chili was very good. I should have ordered the bowl. Salad just ok. I think salad could use use more vegetables. Kudos to our bartender who caught to tell chief no beer goat cheese. They do have gluten free menu. It took a little bit for our food and drinks to get to the table, but otherwise the staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. Awesome atmosphere with great alcohol beverages. They make their own IPA in the building. Also highly recommended if you love burgers. The beet salad is also awesome. We were almost scared away by all the negative reviews, so glad we didn't listen to them. We came for happy hour and got 2 delicious dark beers, the dunkel & a schwarzbier ($4/pint)... can't beat those prices! The 5 HH appetizers didn't appeal to us, so we ordered a Reuben (one of their daily specials). It was delicious, even better the next day eaten cold (yum!). The fries were just alright but should make good hash browns tomorrow morning. Chris our server was awesome, he checked on us often and was very friendly. For the name Pug Ryan they aren't thattt dog friendly. No dogs on the outside deck, only down below in the dirt area. This was fine to us, but they sat us at a table with no umbrella shade and there was a dirty table with shade next to us, so right when the hostess sat us I asked if we could sit at the shady table when it's ready and she said "yes sure, but it might take a while to clear off" (there was 1 appetizer plate on it). We were also fine with that still! We said no problem we'll wait at the sunny table and switch whenever it's ready. 5 min later they bring other people over to the shady table clear the plates and sit them down there....the waiter goes to us "oops oh well" ....let's not forget there were about 5 shady tables available on the deck but no dogs allowed there.. read more

So good! We were in Dillon for a 5 day snowboard trip and found this place the fist night. Well, we ate here for the next 3 following nights because it was so good. The staff were all so friendly. On our 2nd night here the hostess, wait staff and manager acknowledged we had came back and took extra good care of us. This is a pretty popular place so it was impressive everyone remembered us. Over the few nights we ate we tried all sorts of dinners and appetizers. Everything we ate was prepared perfectly and full of flavor. Food was all of high quality and perfect portion sizes. Some brewery restaurants have a funky smell, don't worry that isn't the case here The dining area is inviting and comfortable with a moderate to low noise level. Tables are spaced apart nicely so you dont feel cramped at your table. There is also a nice bar area. If your looking for somewhere to eat dinner while in or around Dillon look no farther than Pug Ryans. read more

Very good pub food and decent beer. Gets busy on weekends but so do most places in the area. It one of the bigger places so you shouldn't wait long. I like the location, it's perfect for a beer before a concert or a cozy beer after skiing. BUT The food is phoned in, it's fine for bar food but of the many times I've been there I just get the impression I could probably make better food at home. I have worked in the restaurant industry in summit for 5 years and the wait staff at pugs is always lovely but they are treated poorly by management and the chain affects customer experience. Speaking of management they are rude and handle issues poorly, especially with locals. Do yourself a favor and stop at one of the many other Breweries popping up in summit and skip Pugs. read more

Beer, beer.... you like beer! I like beer. And I like it even more when its free! *ref yelp app... went here twice in 3 days and used the yelp app both times... The wings here are also delish, and go great with beer. I recommend the dry rub Cajun style, they were awesome. We had great service, the guys that work here are cool dudes... like guys you'd hang out with and drink beer / watch sports. They know good beer, and get it to you in a timely manner.
