I'm hard of hearing so I wasn't entirely sure I communicated well with them but they seemed to understand me so we went forward. Their two-person crew arrived spot on time and got right to work. Daniel, the owner, carefully reviewed the work we had asked for. I agreed, and they got right to work. I thought it would take them all day, but much to my pleasant surprise, they were done in half that time. And the work? Perfect. They did everything asked for with professionalism and well-deserved pride. The yard is now presentable (and it hasn't been for a while). We'll definitely be bringing them on for monthly maintenance so it doesn't go out of control again. Cost was very reasonable. The scope of the work we needed was never going to come cheap, and cheap wasn't our goal. We wanted the job done right and we were willing to pay a professional rate to get that level of quality. Angeles Landscape charges a very good rate and, for what you get, I doubt there are better options. I also appreciated that Daniel kept checking in to make sure we were happy, if we wanted anything corrected, or if we had any questions. Marianne kept me informed of the schedule and progress when I was out of town. It was a complicated job due to unusual wetlands issues, but he was undaunted and made it work. Not only did he go above and beyond in my septic installation, he came up with creative solutions for other foundation issues, and I have hired him and his brother Kevin for other projects on my home. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. All in all, great experience, these folks deserve their lofty reputation.

I decided to go with Better Air NW, mainly because of their high yelp rating. Install did not go perfectly. I had concerns about excessive equipment noise. Justin (the owner) assured me that if it's not right, it's not done. Air pressure settings needed to be corrected. Due to the vibration, we unmounted the heat pump from the house. After that, it's been smooth sailing. They appear to have a strategy of cultivating customer satisfaction and confidence. If you're shopping around, these guys are a pretty safe bet.
