This review has been a long time coming! After the big hailstorm in April, our insurance company was fighting us on covering the damaged siding on our garage. We called Pulse for an estimate. When we continued to have issues with our insurance company and they wanted to cut costs and go a cheap route, Derrick helped us get what we needed. After we received our settlement from our claim we assumed that we would be waiting for the work to be completed because another damaging storm had hit and many folks had damage. I truly felt comfortable with Derrick and confident that he was knowledgeable and skilled in the installation of gutters and downspouts. I am so glad I found this company on Yelp. Due to heavy rains and the high winds of Chicagoland, a large panel on my exterior fireplace chimney completely fell and was unrepairable due to the rain rotting out the wood from behind the panel. Finding someone reputable to do this job and do it without cutting corners was not easy. Called Derrick and he gave me his first possible appointment to come out and get me a free estimate. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and wanted to make sure we had all the best options to choose from. He even brought siding samples with him based on the photos I had sent him. He was able to squeeze us in between two jobs and the team was able to do the job phenomenally in one day. The downspout on the front of our house came down the other day. The next morning I called Pulse and spoke to a pleasant guy named Derrick. I told him the issue and texted him my address so he could get a sense of what the house looked like. He told me I probably would need a new downspout and I was fine with that. Rain was in the forecast so time was of the essence. He came over the next day with his colleague Camille and they put on the new downspout. Very hard-working guys who are very honest. Accidently paid an extra $20 and they gave it back to me. We had rain yesterday night and the downspout worked perfectly. I don't just give out 5 star-ratings willy nilly, so believe me when I tell you they earned it in my opinion. I had been looking for someone to repair my downspouts for at least 3 weeks with no success...I would get a no show, overly inflated quote, or inability to fit me in the schedule in a reasonable time. With the few storms/torrential rains we have experienced, this of course was very frustrating and every time it would rain hard I would cringe because I knew water was just pouring out the broken areas next to the foundation. However, the last company I contacted informed me that although they didn't do the kind of repair I was looking for, referred me to Pulse Exterior. I do not know how I did not come across Pulse E. while searching for a company to do the project, but this ended up being a blessing in disguise because they were able to fit me in right away.
