Good coffee and good vibes in a beautiful area. My kids saw a deer near the patio out back. Cute plants, succulents, and nature all around adds to a welcoming feeling. Great place to stop in at! We had a delicious latte and cold brew.

As someone who loves her SoCal lattes, I'm very surprised about the quality and similarity here at Pump Espresso Bar. I wasn't impressed with the coffee shops around Point Reyes despite their online reviews, but I thought this coffee shop in particular totally lives up to their reviews. My partner and I had gone to a previous coffee shop and decided to stop here 20 minutes down the road to find some kind of coffee redemption in town. My partner and I got the cardamom latte with oat (customer favorite) and vanilla latte (barista favorite) with whole milk. Both were great, silky smooth. FYI if you get iced lattes, they only come in large size (which I'm not complaining at all, given how good they are!). The inside had a couple of knick knacks they were selling (washi tape, chocolates, milk, poster cards, etc.) and there were about four small tables with pairs of chairs to sit and chat. Parking lot is a bit on the smaller side, but makes sense given the small town. There were about 5-6 parking spots right in front. Overall, if I'd ever come back to the area, I'm definitely making a stop here. Thank you for the amazing service, giving us the rundown of all the in-house, personally made syrups. Would definitely love to try out other syrups upon my next visit.

This place is really cute, and homey and easy to get to on a drive out to West Marin. Some highlights: -Different flavored syrups they make in house that can be used for lattes or flavored sodas -Cute gift shop that sells merch from local artists and designers like Tommy Breeze -Outside patio with view of creek -Right off side of road

I love the Pump Espresso Bar. Love it. In fact, if I was lucky enough to work from home, I would work from the Pump. The inside is super cute, and it is oddly calming as soon as you walk in. This is saying a lot as I am one of the most high strung, overly driven humans and calm is not in my vocabulary. Lots of great coffee options, and they are all so good! The barista that helped us last time was fantastic and I want to give her all the kudos. She let me taste test their pumpkin syrup and she mentioned that they make it in house. I ended up going with the cardamom latte which seems to be the only drink I get at the Pump Espresso Bar. I keep telling myself to branch out and try a different beverage. Lots of food options that look delicious. The Pump Espresso Bar is always busy and it is such a welcoming local business that I am more than happy to give my business to.

What a beautiful café beside the creek! Planned a hike nearby to end here at Pump and it's such a lovely spot. Plenty of parking outside, a sort of spacious gift shop vibe inside, and behind is San Geronimo Creek burbling away with no intrusive music spoiling the quiet. Really peaceful and they make great coffee. Friendly too. There's a menu of sandwichy things but I plumped for one of their homemade chocolate cookies which was delicious (and cheap!). Great wifi in an area with spotty phone signal. Will be back!

I stopped at Pump for a quick coffee on the day I visited Samuel P Taylor State Park, just a few minutes away. It's an adorable shop that has an exciting menu whether your just looking for coffee or you also want a snack. It was a hot day so I ordered a cold brew, to which they added some out their cardamom syrup. YUM!! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and definitely check out the gift shop which has some fun items. Friendly customer service, great ambience, and excellent coffee -- that's an easy 5-stars from me!

Now I'm finding myself taking the long way home to stop here for an afternoon pick me up! They have amazing home made syrups- my current drink is a cardamom cappuccino with their home made cardamom syrup. Also: the amazing muffins. I took pictures to encourage other muffin lovers to stop in!

Ask the Community - Pump Espresso Bar

Is it still open? We drove by one morning and it looked closed.

They closed for a month or two to renovate a new location across the street and a few doors down (to the west) on Sir Francis Drake. Should re-open any day now!!

Whatever we lacked in Korean or Ethiopian fare we made up for with an abundance of restaurants specializing in food from France and Italy. Amelie Cafe and Wine Bar continues the tradition and I'm not mad about it. With outposts in both San Francisco and New York City, Amelie sports a nice pedigree. The Fairfax location is dialed down a bit - perfect for the neighborhood it serves - and makes for a comfortable place to enjoy any meal however you might happen to appear that day. It's a simple cafe and, though not inexpensive, certainly less so than a trip to Paris. Two of us recently dined here, late afternoon on a weekend, sharing a burger ($23; comes with fries and a salad), a lager ($8; they have no IPA), and boquerones, the latter of which I fully regretted having to share. Whenever I see boquerones ($12) on a menu I cannot look away and in Marin, finding such an offering is a unicorn. Delicious; I might sneak back over solo just to enjoy them again. The burger and fries were also good, with a profile a bit different than what one would get at a non-French-centric spot. Amelie is a good place to drop in before or after a movie or a show in Fairfax and equally wonderful to pop into for a morning coffee drink or an afternoon glass of wine. It's a casual and a perfect fit for Fairfax.

The overall effect was like eating a piece of cake that had fallen in a puddle of milk - with dried leaves in the icing.
