No pit bulls allowed, unless they aren't purebred and don't have a large jaw. This is literally what I was told. I did not have my dog with me and never brought her in before. So sorry, just can't get behind that kind of profiling. Let me mention that the employee I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. But one day I will find a place that will meet my dog first, and then accept or refuse her based on her merits rather than her breed. Until then, the search continues. Puppy Haven is great! I think you can judge most service based businesses by the courteousness (if that isn't a word it is now) and professionalism of their staff. Laura and the rest of the staff here are awesome. If Kaden is treated as well as they treat me (which I know he is) then I'm sure he is in good hands. They know us both by name and he practically runs through the door trying to get inside. I have never had any problems whatsoever and he comes home and immediately passes out which is perfect especially if you have somewhere to be that night. And, the first time is free! For those of you that live in the Brookhaven/Dresden area this is the perfect place to go as well as support a local business rather than a big chain. Oh, and best of all you have until 7:30 to pick them up M-Th which I take advantage of quite often. My little monster will not let me clean the house without following me around and/or pulling out everything I put away. To the dude who's dog situation was "mishandled," these are dogs we are talking about. They take every precaution by temperament testing each dog but sometimes shit happens. Kids get bullied in school, people fight in bars, dogs nut up from time to time. Get over it. As Chris Rock said to Siegfried and Roy, "that tiger didn't go crazy, that tiger went tiger." read more

Wonderful facility, good staff. Staff could use a refresher on southern hospitality. Love the outdoor play time but a webcam needs to be installed outside, too. The are a busy and popular facility so reservations are a must for daycare; I've been shamed for being a walk-in. My dog enjoys coming here; there have been other businesses that she was scared to enter, but not here. read more

This is our fourth visit to Puppy Haven for doggy daycare and we (the dog and I) absolutely love it! They are so courteous and friendly and the seem to genuinely care. I love that they have both indoor and outdoor space for the pups because that can be hard to find in the city. They let them out 4-5 times a day to play and they do a great job separating them by size. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because they seem to have issues with their webcam fairly often, but other than that, I would highly recommend them! read more

The staff at Puppy Haven are pretty nice and helpful. They offer great competitive pricing for the local area. One thing I will say about them is they don't give many details and are short and to the point,when it comes to answering questions about my dogs. I'm one of those crazy dog people who usually takes them everywhere with me but when I can't, I have to have them boarded. When I call or email to check on them,I always get the same "programmed" answer- "they're doing great". I know how "finicky" they can be so I like to have a little more detail oriented answers. They're Always short and to the point. Besides that, the staff seem to have little interaction with the large amount of dogs and offer no stimulation for skills. If it wasn't so close to my house and good pricing I would be taking them elsewhere. read more

This place is the only place I will bring my dog, well my parents dog... My parents always try to get me to take care of her when they go out of town, but it is too much work with my schedule so Puppy Haven was the choice. Our schnoodle is on a bunch of medications and is hard to handle, but she loves Puppy Haven and I am confident leaving Darcy there. Hands down the best experience! We love puppy haven. Our dog Sadie runs to the door every time and is exhausted when she gets home. The boarding is great and the cameras make us feel so much better when we have to leave her on vacation. Never had any issues. Our puppy had his first day of doggie day care this past weekend and we were very impressed with Puppy Haven! Staff was extremely accommodating to our busy schedule and took such great care of our dog. Even better was the fact that we got to watch Roscoe all day from their live webcam! The online portal is convenient to schedule days as well as easy to upload vaccination records. Prices are comparable to others in the Atlanta area and you can buy packages redeemable at any of their various locations. I'm so happy with Puppy Haven in Brookhaven. Although this location is a little out of the way for me, after my pup's temperament test, we were very happy with the folks who work there, we decided to keep bringing our dog. Every time we pull up, he is running and pulling on the leash to get inside and play... Some days he just comes for a few hours, and he doesn't want to leave when we pick him up. It's too funny and it's a testament to how happy he is. He's an english bulldog, so he has a few special requirements (including making sure he doesn't get too hot) and everyone has been very accommodating with making sure his heat exposure is minimal and that he's not out there in the heat of the day. read more

We love Puppy Haven in Brookhaven! Our mini Aussie Doodle (Belle) loves it, too! My husband and I both work, so Belle has been going to Puppy Haven every day for 8 months. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they greet Belle by name as soon as she comes in. The drop offs and pick ups are super quick, too. Belle has so much fun there. We've been bringing our dog here for over 2 years. At first we absolutely loved it. Our dog seemed happy and always came home worn out. Shortly after starting here though they implemented the reservation policy. We understand this is for the safety of the dogs and the handlers. However it has become increasingly difficult to get a reservation here. Recently we have been booking 1-2 weeks in advance and are still put on the wait list. Because of this, we will be looking at other day cares that we can rely on for a reservation. read more

I have been taking my dog to Puppy Haven for about 7 months now, and I think it's safe to say both of us are pretty happy! What I appreciate the most is that they are extremely attentive to the dogs. If my dog isn't feeling well, they either give me a call or make note so they can let me know later that day when I pick him up. It's nice to know that they truly are keeping an eye on the dogs. I had taken my dog to a nearby daycare, and just by looking at the cameras, I could tell he wasn't feeling well but no one reached out to let me know. After just adopting a rescue, I needed a place for them to vacation while we where out of town. Dropped my two dogs off to be temperament tested. When i returned, they said they were good to go, but my rescue had to stay with the little dogs even though he was a large dog. It was because, "we have never seen such a submissive dog. He won't stand up for himself." I thought they were helping me with my sweet timid boxer. I was told I could watch them on camera while I was away. First, I hardly saw my dogs out in the play area. Second, dogs would urinate on the floor. Staff didn't respond to the accidents thus another dog would go... Third, I returned to find they had decided to put my newly rescued dog back with the big dogs for no given reason. He was then confined to a crate for the remainder of the visit. Why, you ask. Because when the dogs repeatedly mounted him, he let them know it wasn't okay. He didn't bite, or become aggressive. I was never consulted about the change. Lastly, my potty trained dog came home and begun having accidents. Also, noteworthily, when I picked up my dogs, I didn't get much communication. What I was told and what was on their "puppy report' didn't match. It seems they spent more time decorating the paper with stickers than content. This is not the place for me or my dogs. read more

We love this place, and so does our dog! We have used both the doggy daycare and boarding services and couldn't be happier with it! Staff is friendly and great with the animals. I love that I can watch the webcams to check in during the day. They also have a good selection of Blue Buffalo food and several brands of leashes/collars and toys at a competitive price. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Puppy Haven is truly the best. I've taken my 6lb dog there every week day to daycare for over two years and am beyond in love with the whole facility. From the friendly hellos at drop off to watching my dog on the webcam while I'm at work, they go above and beyond for their customers. My dog absolutely loves going there every day! The staff really cares about my dog and enjoys having him there. They are incredibly reliable, are super accommodating of my schedule, and treat my dog like their own. They consistently go above all expectations, heir customer service - particularly the communication - is top notch. If I could transport this place and all the employees to Florida with me, I would. My pup Lola and I both love Puppy Haven. She knows when we're arriving and she gets so excited. She doesn't even glance back at me when I drop her off (kind of hurts!). The staff are all dog lovers and owners. To the reviewer who couldn't take his Pit there, I wonder if it is due to insurance requirements. I know that several of the staff I have spoken with are active in dog rescue and I just cannot see them turning a dog away based solely on pedigree. They seem to care about each and every dog in their care but their approach comes from a very informed perspective--they stay current on outbreaks, CPR, canine behavior and how to handle pack animals. They keep the place very clean too. I can't imagine taking my girl anywhere else. read more
