What made me choose Chris out of the local plumbers nearby was that 1. he had a flat fee, so if you have a really serious problem, at least you have a piece of mind that you don't need to haggle while the plumbing issue is not fixed, and 2. over the phone, Chris was able to clearly explain the entire plumbing process, as well as plan B, etc., while other plumbers just said "trust me, I got this" -- (which may be ok w/ others, but that's not my cup of tea).
